I've had this for a little while and I like it. There is enough space for an over night camp as long as you don't bring too much gear. Being a sweaty bastard on a good day, I don't always appreciate the padded back as it holds body heat. Took the waist straps off and I'll be damned if I can find them! lol
I have a backpack made by that company and love it so far. It has more padding than the one you have there and I got it at our local Army National Guard exchange. The price was right and it seem to be well built. I have almost all of what I want in it, and will be putting an ax or hatchet in it next, and have my sleeping bag, and bed liner attached to the back of the pack due to their size.
I've had my ABU S.O.C. bag since 2010 (had a DCU prior to that from when I was in the military). Both have carried my shit across many countries. I'll tell you what, folks, if you can destroy one of these things...it means you were really trying.
I've owned one of the original 3 day pass packs of theirs for a little over 6 years now and the pack itself is tough and holds up well. The only differences from this one are a different middle pocket, none of those hook and loop pouches, no fleece lined pocket inside the admin panel, and it has no extra support. The original also is harsh on your back and bulks out to huge proportions when fully loaded which is a downer. It basically looks like you're carrying a small country with the old model. Glad to see they revamped it and made it better with the elite version.
Living Survival If you ever have the chance the SOC Bugout or Long Range Bugout are nice ones as well since they're larger and more supported and square built without being massive like some of the other brands.
I really love the 2 sleeves especially for travel/hiking. Like I usually have an ipad or pc when I travel (usually move along 3 months at a time and stuff) And usually there is a sleeve so you have to choose between hydration/big electronic. In this you can have both. I like this, maybe a little too tacticool for my usual enviroment, but its worth checking out also because im a neat freak with everything on pouches and this seems just up my alley.
Really like your backpack series. Wished other survival channels did the same about every single aspect of survival gear for each kind or range of gear, so us, newcomers, can make the right decisions for our hard earned money. It is also crazy how you can walk in the woods and your camera stays steady. :O :)
I'm with you on the MOLLE placement. If this pack had the webbing on each side, it would be perfect for a BOB or "extended stay" bag. I like the side webbing because I prefer to put a water bottle pouch on one side and my IFAK or an axe/hatchet on the other. Great video and review as always, Ben!
I see it available only in black and ABU. I wish it was available in more suitable colors for me here in the upper Midwest. Looks like a good bargain pack.
MrWinger1951 each pack I review offers pros and cons. cons of this one were stitching and zips which vanquest does well. I like the organization on this one better than anything I have seen from vanquest so again, pros and cons.
I have a pack very similar to this, but it's in ACU and it's says "bug out gear" inside the frame and the part of Velcro on yours, is a rubber mesh on mine, I can't seem to find anything on mine either
Have the same bag your talking about but in black. Bought it back in 2008. Haven’t been able to find that brand. Still have the pack but it’s alittle worn out on the inside due to condensation/getting moist.

Check out the organization options in the Three Day Elite pack by Sandpiper of California!

xCreepyKidsx I have the SOC bugout bag video coming soon :)
Awesome. Definitely looking forward to seeing the review.
Another great video, amazing storage space! I liked the the break away storage packs in the middle of the pack.
Quickhatch Knives the storage packs inside make the pack.
Great review. Do you have pictures of the front and back in its current condition?
I have the regular soc three day pass, it’s pretty good for the money and they have a lifetime warranty.

Carmen Cruz i believe it comes in black so wouldn't look so tacticool but who cares if it works :) thanks for the comment.

+Rokelpidio 1103 thanks.
OK Ben, you've gotta stop doing these pack reviews. My wish list is long enough already.
Survival On Purpose I haven't heard that one lately :)

kpw528 you can still lash a axe or hatched on the side using the compression straps. I'd mostly want the webbing to attach a water bottle holder.

All that gel in your hair going to bring all kind of nats lol good video keep it up
Awesome pack! I like the organization, there is plenty on this pack! I noticed that you didn't add your Living Survival hook & loop patch on there!
Jason McDaniel Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't ;)
the modular packs inside are a good feature
***** i agree.
Sweet Pack .. Great Review and nice Snugpak plug!!
Can you but those velcro organization packs individually? I am also a pack addict!
Can this bag be used as a carry on with those aluminum rods?
Looks like a quality pack...especially for the money. Great review
SoulSurvivorX2 thanks for checking it out.
Good review and thanks. How does this pack compare to what Vanquest makes?

Hi are you going to make any small kits of survival stuff
Security Tiger i've made several videos of smaller survival stuff. anything in particular you'd like to see?

I suffer from a pack addiction.
