Also just because your favourite idol performed with a "headwave" doesn't mean everyone else is capable of doing so. Everyone is unique in their own ways, stop bringing others down and trying to compare one to another. I also don’t see why everyone has a problem with her looking good for the camera, if she wants to look presentable, etc then let her be. Wonyoung only has height and her face shape is far from ideal as Wonyoung has a chubby face and not a small v-lined face and Wonyoung’s nose is not ideal either. The ideal face in Korea is Irene’s, Yoona’s and Jisoo’s face as their faces fits all the standards and they have no imperfections on their face.

I’m actually a BLINK but Wonyoung has been catching my eye lately. I thought because of her popularity & how Starship has been trying to make her standout she was an arrogant person but when I dived (no pun intended) deeper she’s actually a really sweet & very hardworking individual. If rumors are true of her background then that’s even more impressive because she decided to make a name for herself & not rely on her family’s money. I can only imagine the amount of pressure & scrutiny she has to deal with at such a young age. She is the current ideal beauty in South Korea from her looks to her body/height but she carries herself so gracefully. All I see is a young mature woman that works hard with any given tasks.

We don't know what's going on behind the scenes, maybe it was her manager who asked her to redo the scene so that she could do it in a cute way. On top of that, on all the videos dating back to Izone people compliment her, but as soon as the videos date back to Ive all the comments insult and criticize her, even if she's just standing. I also don't understand what you're saying about other idols being much more beautiful, that's your business, but it's not everyone's opinion. Wonyoung is one of the most successful idols of the 4th generation, and is considered as one of the prettiest, so why compare her to others ? So yes Yuna and Wonyoung get hate for their beauty and success, and Wonyoung is the one who get the most hate because she's the most successful. First, lets not call other idols prettier or whatever; beauty is subjective. Second, sure, maybe not EVERYONE did, but a huge majority of people did judge her purely for her looks. Just like a lot of "prettier idols" do, she got called "pick me", "an attention-seeker", and "a try hard" just because she's feminine and cute.
ex. her eating a strawberry, her eating a pizza for a commercial, her drinking milk, her facial expressions during lives, and so much more. Guess where all this hate is coming from? Her face.
2. (Insert your whole essay about your izone bias??? Idk man.)
I don't understand why you went on a long rant about why you have a neutral opinion on Wonyoung, but okay? I wouldn't say that she's "forcing her voice", or at least not to a great extent, but whatever that's your opinion. Regardless, I really doubt that was the main reason nor is it a justification to why people called her a pick me.
3. "Most people that point out her mistakes don't hate her," "you can still be a fan and point out their mistakes," or something along those lines.
You aren't wrong on the latter. You can criticize people's actions and still like them or be a fan of them, but that wouldn't apply to Wonyoung or her criticizers. If you are mad about someone eating, drinking, or, at this point, breathing, you are a a big sad hater. You cannot say that they are just "pointing out her mistakes" when the "mistake" in question is her EXISTENCE. Posing, acting cute, drinking milk, or stretching is not a "mistake" and is definitely not a good reason to hate on a person.

for an 18 year old to be experiencing the dirtiest part of k-pop since she was 14,and still put on a happy facade in front of the cameras, I admire her for that. Not everyone her age, or even idols older than her can handle the tremendous hate thrown at her for every single thing she do. We are of the same age and I don't think I could ever get out of my house and still be all jolly if I ever experience even half of every thing she's gone through.

I think she's experiencing a similar situation to Yoona's earlier days in SNSD. The difference is how social media is contributing too much to this. She'll get through this eventually. If she stays true to herself and remains kind and hard-working, she'll maintain a good image that will make her last for years and years in the industry.

I don’t personally vibe with wonyoung but I think that a part of the hate is because she’s young,pretty and rich. On top of the she’s been on the industry while being young so she does what people expect from her. I can’t really say anything about her attitude but people probably just don’t like her so it doesn’t even matter anymore. She might be a nice person but i think its wrong to say that she has worked hard to become what she is now , she got everything she wanted because of her visuals and the power her family holds while other idols had to work really hard to build there career and the fanbase they have now, the only hard work she has to do was to sing and dance like other idols and saying she has suffered a lot to get here is not fair for other idols. and its also not too hard fake emotions and everyone knows how hard she tries to look good, cute, pretty and sophisticated , she know everything she is doing and tries to control even the slightest actions she does on camera

I know this is extreme, and I hope I don't upset people by saying this at all, but I sincerely hope that this doesn't grow to a situation similar to that of the sale Choi Sulli. I don't want to see similarities, but it's so much the same: Bullied for her beauty, people constantly going on about her weight, accusations of not caring about the group/putting in enough effort on stage, being told she has a bad/wrong personality. She's so young as well, I can't imagine that kind of pressure on someone so early and so constant.
