BABY KOALA "DANNY"

Baby Danny was raised from an unfurred joey found in his deceased Mums pouch. Raising babies this young is extremely difficult and requires around the clock care. Baby Koalas also need their Mother's special "pap" at approx. 5 1/2 months old. Pap is produced by their Mum as special faeces, it is soft, green, mushy in texture and not firm pellets. The babies eat this messy food to establish their gut flora, as it contains special microbes, to be able to eat and digest safely, eucalyptus leaf. They need pap to be able to break down the toxins in the leaf. Up until this stage the babies are purely on their Mums milk.
Without pap babies cannot survive. Danny was given pap made from healthy Koala scat, the closest we can do as carers as it is extremely rare to be able to obtain Mothers pap.

Thank you for taking care of Danny. Please Australia, koalas only live in Australia. If they are gone, that's it. There's no koalas in North America, no koalas in Asia, and Europe. Only in Australia. We must save them no matter what‼
