Funny he first said he had no idea about his families dealings with we, now he says he felt like it was wrong and even distanced himself because of it. It's not a controversy, it's Fraud.
The problem with that is that you must prove it to be fraud first otherwise its slander.
The only way to do that, is to prove he did it willingly which is something I doubt even the best lawyer could do.
He will almost certainly be hit with an ethics violation from the house of finance and then be called to testify for month down until they give up searching for something.
We can only hope that the Conservative team have some plan up their sleeve.
This reminded me of a movie where a politician sat down with the godfather and discussed how to legalize corruption, money laundering and tax evasion. So they came up with idea of CHARITY.

The Public Service was made to be non-partisan. The public service to my understand is not allowed hold a political affiliation. If you disagree with that then you've got your blinders on.

@@vinylrecords4452 While the Clerk to the Privy Council is the top bureaucrat and as a human will have his political affiliations, the job of the public service actually gets harmed if they put ANY sort of political bias into what they do. The Clerk of the Privy Council is appointed by the PM and it is safe to assume will have a political bias. However the Public Service is in itself non-partisan in order to do their jobs effectively.

Under law, what kind of criminal prosecution should take place if such activities do occur?
At a time when so many are struggling financially, many are laid off, single mothers are working 2 minimum jobs to survive, homelessness is on the rise - our so called prime minister (and Bill Morneau) who already have wealth and privilege choose to defraud Canadians of hundreds of thousands of dollars. He won't help veterans but he will certainly help himself. He is showing his true colors, he is showing the entire country he's putting himself and his family ahead of Canadians.
