  • This is my 2 pole DC motor and making processes.
    The enamel wire wound 300 + 300 = 600 turns.
    Materials :
3mm iron rod - extract from CD ROM drive
3mm bearings - extract from computer CPU FAN
iron plate - extract from small transformer
magnets - extract from microwave oven magnetron
enamel wire - extract from DC 24V solenoid valve
    copper plate
    epoxy glue
    heat shrink tube
    appropriate tools.

Put a little fan on the end of that shaft and you're good to go for the summer! Lol. Awesome work, I love your assembly videos.

    Great work mate! :)
You're an inspiration to many, if not many at least for me. :)))

is there a way to make it start without having to use hand to push it - with only 2 coils? or do we have to make 3 coils?

If you attached a light bulb to the wires instead the battery and then spun the coiled wires wouldn't that turn your motor into a generator?

it is important to line up the commutators in line with the coils or the timing will be off.

How many turns did u wind to make armature

I see you are winding copper wire on top of heat shrinkage tube. Any particular reason for that? Would it be ok to wind the copper wire without heat shrinkage tube?

Yes. As long as current is isolated

i fail to understand how metal core could be used to make electromagnet for dc motors. I tried that and I failed many times because magnets attract metal, so will never get a repulsion force using metal as core for your electromagnet. you can't use a metal core in electromagnet. so this video is possibly fake
