I'm full time and my old home base is 2 storage units, nearly 3,000 miles away . My van has plenty of solar power, good wifi and I heat with propane. I keep a massive emergency fund should big problems arise. But not maintaining a home base allows me to have the funds to power this van and lifestyle. Like you, I like solitude and my own company. Being retired, on social security gives me a little regular income. I plan to explore more of the west this summer, PNW and all. So, happy travels and... 👍 Rock on 🙂.
Hi Michele! So sorry you won’t be able to join us where we met you last January. Hoping you heal quickly so we can see you soon. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! ❤
I have to agree with all your reasons for having a home base. Another reason is… “Hana”, my Doxie,(same colors as Sofie) doesn’t like being away for too long! Lol
I had a badly torn meniscus and decided on the cortisone shot instead of surgery. It's been 6 years and no problems. Hope your method works for you. 🙋♀✌ I don't like street or lot parking, I would rather pay for RV and state parks, Hipcamp is great too. BLM land is awesome. Good content Michele!
Good to know, Cindy! Maybe that's something that would work for me if the PT doesn't. I wish we had blm land on the east coast. I don't mind parking lots or street parking, tho. As long as it's well lit and has a place to walk Sophie at night.
I chose not to have a home base or storage. I just sold everything, my music gear and my art supplies everything. So now I just go to the lake to work at. But again, I'm not traveling yet and that would be different. I think everyone needs to do what works for them. Hope the knee gets better. Stay warm
I started off without a home base. It was scary feeling like I didn't have a safety net. I'm sure I would have gotten use to it eventually! Keep up what works for you! 🙂💓
Having a network of family and friends is the best way.

Hi Judi! I plan to head your way at the end of January. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, too 🌲 I will see you very soon! 😊🩷

Hey there, I do not like to miss your videos. Thanks for the information. Good stuff. Lots of hugs from northern Los Angeles.. 🫠😜
Thank you, Marco! I hope it's warm in LA! 😊🩷
It's just a tad, but I can imagine how cold it must be where you are. Keep warm and snuggle up..😊
@LifeWithMicheleSilver
I just purchased your monkey drawing, I am excited to frame it and hang it inside my 1956 Ford Motorhome. ❤😉

@@LifeWithMicheleSilver I had no problem with street parking until something happened. Sadly! Be well!

@LifeWithMicheleSilver Merry Christmas Michelle to you your dog and kids
It’s nice to be able to travel, & stay a while, but there’s no place like home
. My camper is home to me
