As a mom in KC, there are so many fun things to do with kids. The zoo, Deanna Rose, science city, union station has a free model train exhibit, the arboretum, Powell gardens, wonderscope children’s museum, etc. I’m so glad you had a great time!
I second all of this, and also, if parks are what you’re after, Lees Summit has a bunch! They even have parks with splash pads and other water activities!
I live in Kansas City and there’s a lot of fun things you can do! You can go to science city, worlds of ( wich is a theme park), shaved ice, Nelson’s atkins art museum, Kansas City zoo, museum of toys.
I've been going to Penguin Park since before it was officially renamed to Penguin Park. My grandparents lived just a couple miles away, and now I live nearby too. They also have walking tracks for adults there.
I looove penguin park! My school used to take little field trips near there and we’d stop for lunch and a recess sort of thing it was sooooo much fun!!!
I live in KC and I recommend you go to the Nelson Adkin’s museum, there is a lot of fun things to look at and there is mini golf outside a great restaurant too another fun thing to do is Science City and Wonderscope!
grew up in that park in the 1960"s and my kids grew up going there too. christmas it was always a winter wonderland. there are so many places to visit that is kid friendly and fun. you should go to the zoo and worlds/oceans of fun.
wow penguin park, and it looks similar yet updated! I used to go there when I was a child because it was across from my dentist. I'm now 53. As mentioned by others worlds of fun is nice but can be a hit to the wallet. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art is a good way to spend time, if into that type of thing. The zoo. I wonder... Kaleidoscope in crown center was always fun as a child.
With your two and four year old and 360 month old* haha your voiceover timing was way too funny when you pan to hubby as you're saying "the kids can get out some energy"😂
I live in Kansas City and I’ve been to all those locations and except chicken pickle but Penguin Park went to a field trip on my summer camp when I was like seven and I’ve been to great Wolf Lodge a couple times
There is the best ice cream shop called Nellie’s: Fudge, ice cream and candy in Smithville Missouri (it’s a town just barely north of Kansas City) I would recommend trying it if you go again
I live in Kansas City and have lived downtown and in the suburbs and I have to say I am very surprised to see you at penguin Park because me and my siblings loved that place when we were younger and I have to say to visit union station and go to science city which is inside union station and you can walk from the inside on union station to crown center and there in a tunnel that goes over the street with windows to see it side and crown center is cool because there is a giant building with shops and places to eat some more grown up and some that are very kid friendly and also when you go out side there is Lego land and sea life and a giant area for kids to play usually there are food trucks out there to and right around the corner is kaleidoscope which is a art place where kids of all ages can go and can color and run around and they can make all kinds of projects and even draw a picture and it can be made into a puzzle by putting it into a machine and there is a glow in the dark room to and this place is completely free. These are just some inside tips and tricks and would for sure recommend Kansas City to your family.
