    Hi, I need to apply three phase to ground fault on bus number 5(in 9 bus system) with 2&3 cycles. Then remove the fault without tripping. How can I apply fault with cycles? I don't understand cycles mean. What specifically I have to choose? Thanks in advance.

    • @PowerSystemSimulation

      Frequency is measured in hertz (Hz), an international unit of measure where 1 hertz is equal to 1 cycle per second. You may contact us at psscommunications1@gmail.com for further discussion.

    Thanks. It was help full. I have one question. If I limited my Pmax, why the generator not respect this limit and exceeds it?
    your help would be very helpful

      @PowerSystemSimulation  Год назад

      In steady state, the output of generator will be equal to Pgen except for the swing bus in which the output will be such that the frequency of system is maintained.

    Hello Sir:
    Excuse me, if I am doing transient simulation analysis in psse, it is no problem when I put in a general bus fault, but when I want to create a single-phase fault or phase-to-phase fault, it will display like an error message such as {messages for api dist_scmu_fault no sequence data in memory (004438)}
    How should I proceed at this time, please tell me, thank you!
    Sincerely,
    Kevin LIN

    Which fault was that u applied in Bus fault? Is it 3 phase fault or short circuit fault?

  • @maryamd99
    @maryamd99 2 года назад

    That was to the point and informative. Thank you! One question. I am using PSSE University version and when I'm gonna perform the Dynamics simulation and initialization, the Run button is inactive. Is it because of the limitation in university version? I thought the only limitation with this version is the number of buses.

    • @PowerSystemSimulation
      @PowerSystemSimulation  2 года назад +1

      No, it is because of Initialization errors. Once the errors are removed, then Run will be accessible.

    Hello, nice content! Any reason behind the tuning of the solution parameters?

    • @PowerSystemSimulation
      @PowerSystemSimulation  3 года назад

      The parameters are tuned to enhance the flexibility of solution by enhancing number of iterations, changing simulation time step etc.

    If we want to test an unbalanced fault(for example solid line ground) and we have the sequence data we use 0 and -20000000 or 0 0?

    • @sofoklistsantzalis5881
      @sofoklistsantzalis5881 4 года назад

      And in general is it possible to do a dynamic transient stability analysis of an unbalanced fault?

    • @PowerSystemSimulation
      @PowerSystemSimulation  4 года назад +3

      @@sofoklistsantzalis5881 Yes we can also simulate an unbalanced fault. From file menu of PSS/E goto Disturbance -> Calculate & Apply Unbalanced Bus Fault.

    • @sofoklistsantzalis5881
      @sofoklistsantzalis5881 4 года назад

      But the values of reactance and resistence are zero right? Because in the 3 phase fault it is 0 and -2000000000

    • @PowerSystemSimulation

      System can be unstable due to various reasons including voltage issues, inertia, power flows etc. You need to identify the cause. You can share your issues @ psscommunications1@gmail.com

      Follow the video @ 12:17. From this plot, you can find the value of power flow during pre-fault, during fault and in post fault scenarios. Also, you can plot this graph for any transformer or transmission line.

      You can write a .txt file and then save it as .dyr
      Also, you can create using PSS/E itself.
