  • On the 1st August 2020, in an historic moment in the football, the first ever FA Cup Final dedicated to mental health was played out between Arsenal and Chelsea.
The Duke of Cambridge hosted a small group of frontline workers, beneficiaries of the campaign’s charity partners, local fans, and #HeadsUp ambassadors to watch the game, and celebrate the fact that this season - working together - we have kick started a huge conversation on mental health.
Heads Up is a season-long campaign, harnessing the power and influence of football to change the conversation on mental health. Through the Heads Up #SoundOfSupport series, we will keep breaking the silence around mental health - showing that talking about how we feel and what we’re going through is more important than ever, and encouraging everyone everywhere to make their support heard by those who need it.

I used to think that sports was all bread and circuses, but I like watching Liverpool play.
