Wine and Stout Easter Bun
The bun is best baked at 350F for 50 - 55 minutes. However, since our different ovens tend to vary when it comes to heat, I suggest checking doneness by pricking with a skewer or toothpick. If it comes out clean or slightly moist but NOT WET then remove from the oven. Wrap the buns with plastic wrap to prevent them from drying out for the next couple days. Believe me...if they are left out they will dry out.
INGREDIENTS:
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp Baking Powder
1 - 1 1/4 tsp Salt
Spice Mixture(You may also JUST used mixed spice if you have it):

I was just on WhatsApp talking to a friend in England asking for a recipe of the one they made for Easter. I love yours too and I can almost taste it while watching the tutorial. I want to experience with Almond Flour and sweetener substitutes to minimise the carbs and sweets. One Love Nuh!

@@JerenesEats It's in the oven I'll send you pictures. I was tempted to add 1/2 cup of pureed sweet potato but I changed my mind.
This is nice what if I don't have red-label wine what other wine can I use?
Amazing!, trying to do it right now. You mention to add honey, but there is no information in de description. How much did you use? Love all your recipes!
Hey Rita! Sorry luv I added it to the description box.

What if I don't have caradmom
You may leave it out. It won't affect the flavour drastically 😁

Hoping to see u with 🔔🔔( Bell)
Hi, what can I substitute for the alcoholic beverage? I want to make it alcohol free.
Non-alcoholic wine or milk
@@JerenesEats thanks
However, I feel that my bun will not have the same appearance as yours.
@@angelica1673 you can rely on a deep red nonalcoholic wine, the Browning and Molasses for colour.
@@angelica1673 yes most likely it won't since we're not using the same ingredients
@@JerenesEats Thankyou :) One more thing, will the bun still be brown without the browning? Can I use treacle to make it brown?
Lawd, the Tastee cheese salty as hell. I love my bun but prefer it with mild cheddar.
😆
@@JerenesEats Talk truth though 🤣
Y u use cheese
Just our way of eating bun. Kinda like bread and butter. It makes sense if you consider how fruity the bun is. Some folks enjoy wine and cheese some like fruit and cheese etc 😄
@@JerenesEats ok thank u
That's not a bun that is a cake you don't put eggs in bun and you don't mix the ingredients you nead the doe not how real bun make sorry.
