Iceland and Faroe Islands need not be mutually exclusive. You may already know that there is a ferry serving between east Iceland and the Faroe Islands. 😅
I have worked in the tourism industry on the Faroe Islands this summer and let me tell you, LOTS of tourists take a trip from the Faroe Islands to Iceland or the other way around. It's like a bundle.
Stunning video Allan. Visuals are out of the world and one can definitely see your skill at music transitions more than half way through the video in the ferry. Outstanding overall. Keep on inspiring 🤘🏻
I am so grateful that you took the time out of your day to show us this beautiful beautiful place. My heart is enriched and am better for seeing it. Thank you.
Dear Allan, We have been following you ever since we discovered your Iceland Itinerary Video. We are a couple of travel content creators from India who travelled to Iceland last April. We owe you so much for the stuff we filmed in Iceland. We literally deconstructed, all the places we visited, by looking at your videos and analysing them to find the right frames, lighting directions and compositions. Thank you so much for making these video. They are such good pre-production study materials for creators like us. We are also big fans of the videos you make for the quiet and calming approach you take. Hope to meet you and cross paths someday. Till then we have your videos to deconstruct. Much Love from India. ❤❤ - Pooja & Shravan
Thank you guys for the nice comment! I'm glad to hear the Iceland video helped and inspired you both. Hopefully, we'll cross paths one day. The world is a small place, after all.
Alan you have the most stunning drone footage I’ve seen! I’m hooked and want to watch all of your vlogs. Thanks and happy travels to you and your lovely partner
PAYSAGE GRANDIOSE à couper le souffle / BEAUTÉ SAUVAGE d'une autre planète ! MERCI Allan pour tes supers belles vidéos et photos de GRANDE QUALITÉ from FRANCE !
I love this! Walking on my treadmill along with you and this beautiful place was such a joy, Ty! These islands must be a fave, you have 5 vids, all incredible ❤😊
What a wonderful nature!! I front of nature, Human is so small!! I was overwhelmed by the greatness of nature! Thank you for sharing this beautiful video!! Greeting from Korea!😍😍👍👍
Great video, thanks! I'm going to the Faroes in ten days and will use walk some of the same paths. Kallur Lighthouse is no 1 on my list. Would have loved to se more of the "cliff cavern" below the lighthouse. Hopefully I can film it myself. : )
Do you know u can see vantajokull when the skies is really clear from kallur lighthouse?! Nice video bro! Did u tried the hike to draginar ? I went there on the winter , the hike was quite challenging but the reward you get after the hike it was worth it
Can you tell more about these hikes? How long did it take to reach those places and how hard was it? Amazed that you were wearing sneakers instead of hiking boots!
Storytelling checklist: [X] Who [X] What [X] Where [?] When ????. When did you visit? Shoulder seasons? Did you go during peak season and somehow covid lessened the crowds? Thanks! [X] Why
Hey bro, new subscriber here. I just love ur vids. Just wondering if you are already using a 360 cam to capture your travels besides you drone and and other stuff. Would be easier for you to navigate holding it in your walks and no need to position your regular cam in a distance.
Insane and beautiful footage. Are the shots taken of you at close range walking away (like only 3-5 metres away) filmed from the static drone? Or are you using a lightweight tripod?
Hey Allen, great video! I haven’t been to the Faroes since 2017 and my first time was back in 2013. During that time you didn’t have to pay to hike certain trails, I was wondering if that had changed. I heard they charge for places like Saksun now.
Hi Allen , can you breakdown the cost for a 2 week Japan trip with a modest budget LAX ROUNDTRIP BOUT $4000 premium economy do you need the bullet train pass or will the local pass get you around just takes longer?
I am struck by the stratigraphy that is exposed. Some of the oldest rocks on the planet are in the UK, so I wonder what the geology of the Faroes is like.
I had my heart set for Iceland for my next destination but your last 2 breathtaking videos are making me rethink my plans!
Do both!

I’m rethinking too!!
I've spent a lot of time in Iceland and I love it, but the scenery in the Faroes can't be beat.
Great work!
And the constant light fog gives anything a mystic aura. Cant wait to be there in August. ❤
Allan, glad to see you back. Travelling with you is always a pleasure.
I've never heard about these islands and you make me a new dream place to visit , thank you !!!
Simply amazing. Both the Faroe islands but also your ability to captivate it.
Going there in 2 days, i can't simply wait to see it for myself.
Cheers!
How was it?
All your videos are so therapeutic and inspiring! I'm so glad to discover this channel. 🥲❤️
So very atmospheric and picturesque!
Such an amazing hike bud, landscapes are breathtaking and so serene.
Dear Allan, I planned my visited to the Faroe Islands in 2019 after watching your earlier video. Lovely place! your uploads are fantastic. Thanks!
Amazing drone shots!
Excellent video! You got some great drone shots.
Stunning video Allan. Visuals are out of the world and one can definitely see your skill at music transitions more than half way through the video in the ferry. Outstanding overall. Keep on inspiring 🤘🏻

The TV detective series Trom is set in the Faroes. It's excellent. On BBC in the UK, and worth hunting for.
Rediculous, alien, beautiful! Great video!

good videos

Hey Allen, great video! I haven’t been to the Faroes since 2017 and my first time was back in 2013. During that time you didn’t have to pay to hike certain trails, I was wondering if that had changed. I heard they charge for places like Saksun now.
Saksun was still free when I was there
@@AllanSu sweet! The hike to Kallur too?
Hi! A faroese here.
They don’t charge for going to Saksun, but it costs money to go to Lógvan in Saksun.
@@annikamagnussengaard1217 where is Logvan exactly? Is that by the church? Saksun is so small, I never heard of that.
hi Allan, really amazing footage. just wondering how many batteries for your camera do you take with you during your hike?
Between 4-6 batteries. It depends on the length of the hike
@@AllanSu thx! I’m considering buying more batteries 😂
love your vids! what month did u go?

Do you have a list of foul weather gear you have purchased? Quite necessary in many of your destinations!
Yup. I list most of my gear here: allansu.com/gear
Which month is?
I am struck by the stratigraphy that is exposed. Some of the oldest rocks on the planet are in the UK, so I wonder what the geology of the Faroes is like.
It is believed the Faroes were formed around 11 million years ago from volcanic activity afaik
Any chance to get some of the shots as a wallpaper?^^
Working on it 👍
what time of year did you go ?
guess YT fed me this post bcos i watch Kraig Adam channel👍🏻
