This is one of the most beautiful songs ever created. I have, as a grown man, bawled my eyes out more than once to this masterpiece, most recently for the last 10 minutes in front of my two year old daughter in the car. I explained to her after I gained my composure that it is about how Jesus will never stop loving us, no matter what we've done. And honestly I am breaking down speaking those words in voice to text to write this comment right now. We serve a gracious King. Thank you for this work of art, brother

The other song by Josh that gets me is Million Miles .Very recently I've found the man that God has blessed me with. We hope to get married in October unless the Rapture happens and it looks like we could be close. God has someone special for us all ! I thought my time was over because I've had a hard life addiction and being abused. I Have moments when I'll break down knowing how much I've hurt Jesus and and through it all he's carried me and loved me. I'm 50 and my significant other is 16 year my junior. No one has ever loved me truly and unconditionally before.Other than our Father . This song is spot on how our Father loves us and Million Miles The complete love that every woman should have from her husband and she should feel the same for him.Thank you Josh for sharing your beautiful gift with us and thank you God for blessing Josh with his gift and may his music bring many people to accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

This song is one of my favorite songs ever. It makes me ugly cry. God loves us so much.
I absolutely love how Mr. Garrels wove the Holy Spirit into the story of the Prodigal as the woman that came to the wayword son and taught him Grace. Wonderful!
I also love how after conviction by the Spirit Garrels borrows another line from Luke 9 about discipleship (putting the hand to the plow) and turns the prodigal into any disciple - but then the climax is the Father seeing and receiving the son.
I keep telling my family, this is the best Christian song written in the last 100 years! Thankyou Josh Garrels!

Josh garrels you my never see this comment in your life but I'm not just writing this for you, I'm writing this so other people see this and be come inspired. I always felt like I let down god but he always reminded me that I was forgiven but I didn't take it seriously. So one day I was watching a video and a song of yours came up and it was called farther along and I loved that song and your voice so I looked up your name on a music app and listened briefly to some songs and put them on a playlist if I liked them. So I was listening to all the songs I downloaded and and started listening to at the table and I broke down in tears because it reminded me that even though I might have failed in some place's god still loves me and he still is reserving a seat at the table for me. I’m a dancer and we are using this as our contemporary song this year, we are having a big table on stage and dancing on it. I almost cry about every time we listen/dance to it, it just brings me so much joy.
to get deep a minute: This song, and whole album for that matter, came into my life two days before it all came crumbling down around me. I was in a very dark place and this song gave me hope. Two years(give or take) later it's still helping.

I am a teenager struggling with sin, but my father is one of the most patient men I've ever met. He and I both quite in Josh, and this songs always reminds me of my pops. I'm a christian, but in all honesty the struggle of temptation from sin is a very difficult one, especially as a 17 year old growing man. This song holds a special place in my heart. I can't wait to see you josh when you come to Jacksonville in march! We got VIP tickets for my dad's birthday, can't wait!

Josh, I am just in tears. I have been faithfully standing and holding tight to the promises that God has spoken over my eldest son who has chosen a sinful path. I trust that God love for him is so much greater than mine and that I will see the day when he will be coming down the road towards home with a light in his eyes and a strength in his Spirit.
