Anna shud b so very very proud of herself n u shud b proud of yrself helpin her in this amazin journey. Here's 2 both of u n the work uve put in2 this chapter xxxxxxxxx
I love the stories - I've had a similar motivation from my nails. Since I've been doing my nails more, it's definitely helped me with lots of other things. When I feel like I'm not doing my best, the nails are visual evidence that I can do something right, and that I'm beautiful. It's extremely motivating. Sometimes, I just look at them and it's like looking at some lovely flowers, and it makes me smile and relaxes me. It's recharging!
I just found your videos and I LOVE your style. You do your job out of care for your clients well-being and self-esteem, and this shines through all you say! At work I need to use detergents every day, and I cannot use gloves all the time. Learning to care for my nails and cuticles at home and at the salon gave me so much more confidence and I don't get infected cuticles anymore. Thank you!
Go Ana! Well done. Such a huge step for you. I “stopped” biting my nails at age 19yrs but still struggle from time to time. If I am not biting the actual nail, I pick at the cuticle area. I commend you on your progress. Anastasia; you have such a difference to your client
Anna is the reason why I am so far succeeding in having my nails grow out. It honestly feels so weird having long (barely normal size) nails Best of luck, Anna! ❤
My nail tech is also a co-worker of mine and a very good friend. I have severe anxiety and one of my worst habits is biting my nails. I have only bitten them super short twice in the last 6 months! I go see her about every other week and she gives me a new set of adorable and unique nails and I absolutely love it!
Woohoo! Good job, Anna! Keep at it, love!💖 Does anyone else like grit your teeth and squeeze your hands into fists when she's doing the dry manicure because you're DYING TO help lol? I'll be like,"Ooohh, I can't wait till she gets that part.... she did it!" Ahhh, so satisfying!💅🏼😍 And your "long videos" are nowhere near too long! There are some people that have like 45min-hour long videos...those are REALLY HARD to stay interested in; but your videos are never stale and always leave me looking for another, so I'd say you edit and film BEAUTIFULLY! You could probably even go for 30 minutes or so just fine!👌🏼
@@sweeteuthiedoll me too!!! I always like release all the air in my lungs because I had been holding my breath without realizing! It's like you can never be too close to the screen 😂 there are 2 jobs that make you seem strange to others: 1. A Nurse because you notice people's veins with that same kinda 'man, I'd love to get ahold of those things!' that a Nail Tech (#2) does when seeing hands, feet, cuticles, nails, etc.🤷🏼♀️🙈😄
Getting acrylic when I was 18 stopped me from my lifelong (at the time) habit of biting my nails! After I removed the acrylic, I saw my real nails had a free edge! I was SO excited and I didn't want to ruin it, so I just let it keep growing. Now I have nice long nails and my nail beds have actually gotten a bit longer, which I didn't think would happen because they looked SO stumpy before! So there is hope for biters!
Your story is inspiring! I've been a nail bitter from 16 yo and never stopped yet (i'm 31). I've had my nails done for so long and I had a free edge... but after a week, I bite them all off again! I hope one day i'll be able to stop like you! ❤
I like your story. I agree that doing someone's nails can make them feel empowered and confident. It's such a small thing with such big results. Once I'm licensed I want to spend a few hours a week at the family shelter near me. These women are coming out of abusive situations and looking for jobs and an apartment. The shelter gives them outfits for interviews and they have a person to do haircuts, but nails seem like an extravagant cost. I would love to donate time just doing a basic manicure with regular polish they can remove later. It's something I love doing so I want to share that.
I love all your videos. I know you are a professional and this is probably not your style, but I have seen alot of videos on tips filled with baby oil and tiny decorations that float. If you feel like doing a fun video, would you consider doing your own version of something like that? I'm sure they would be remarkable. Thank you!
Nails are so personal, the fact the she was able recognize her own beauty and use that as a motivation is amazing! Also I love your story times and the longer videos!❤
Hey You work just perfect!! I love seeing your work I watched a lot of videos on your channel and I learn a lot from you! Could you please give me a link to the buffing bit? Thanks!
I'm 50 and been a nail biter as long as i can remember. I was so ashamed of my nails. For the last 6 months, I've kept my nails painted. I have to be disciplined with them. They are long and strong. I do have a weak right thumb. I hope eventually it eventually gets as strong as the others. I've also lost weight - 50 pounds. So don't give up. You're important and worth it.
Absolutely love the story you told. Thats part of what keeps me doing nails, the impact this small thing can have on peoples lives, and when they become regulars and you get to know them and just chat and laugh, its so rewarding.
It's amazing to see her journey. I am a former nail biter and my journey took years also. I WISH I had a nail tech to help me. It seems she is well on her way to being done with it. I imagine she is saying nope, not hardly but one day I was somewhere and noticed a lady watch me bite my nails and I was so embarrassed. It actually happened many times but for some reason that time was majorly embarrassing. I put my hands down, looked at my fingers and wondered why I do it. Over the course of a few weeks I kept remembering that moment and would get embarrassed all over again. Which then led me to see my nails grow out some. They weren't beautiful like other people's nails but I was proud and then got my first set of acrylic and that was it. Had I known what a tech could do I might've done the journey quicker but I made it. I am impressed with Anna's story. She has beautiful nails. I imagine one day her nail story will be like If you could see her hands when she first came in and now she makes us all envious with her nail beds.
Honestly i like all Anna videos the most, i almost saw all the transformation and I remember how it was really hard for you to push her cuticles, and they were too damaged.. now i am impressed .. what a Wonderful technician and artist 😍😍 👩🎨
Wow Anna's nails look remarkable! Anastasia you are a master! So beautiful! I love the storytime you have and the speed you use is so help full to me. Thank you!
Nail biting is something I still struggle with and nail care has been a huge help in at least curbing the impulse. Maintaining the cuticles and the skin around the nails is so important for me. I cannot have any dead skin or any dryness or flaking or I will end up biting. I also can't let my nails get too far beyond the finger tip as a broken nail or nails I notice will lead to biting.
Actually if the nail tech is very nice and open to a friendly time with me the exchange 😊 is so helpful to me nail techs are very important to us because when we go to the salon it is usually a a way to treat ourselves and escape the stressful lives
Good for her. People don’t realize nailbiting is a horrific habit to try and break. I did it as a kid for many years -now I do my nails and of course I don’t do it,but sometimes I want to pick the cuticles!that’s a whole other story! Fabulous work😍
Yes. I agree.. I bit my nails till I was 25. And all of a sudden I stopped. I don't know why but I am 28 in November and thankfully my nails and my nail plates are looking beautiful. ❤️❤️
I love Anna's journey, great work by both of you! I also loved your story - I feel like people who provide services like make up, hair, nails, massage, skin care, etc. sometimes don't realize how important their work is. Getting a service like this helps "fill my pitcher" so I can pour out for others. The confidence from a manicure may help someone do better in a job interview or be more confident when meeting new people.
Hi! I have a question, has Anna tried any strategy not to bite her skin? Regarding the manicure and all the efforts, you both have done, congratulations! Lovely moments with Anna
I have always bitten my nails and it makes them very sore. Your videos with Anna have made me invest in learning to do nails myself so that I don’t feel embarrassed to get my nails done and save money on them as a student ❤️ thank you
So glad you are moving to a longer format! You came recommended by Kirsty Meakin and Im so happy to get to learn a style from another country and one with as high standards such as you and yours!! we all have so much to learn-Thank you!
Congratulations Anna!🥳🥳 As a reformed nail biter myself(with occasional relapses) I know just how hard a habit it is to break. You have done so well. It won’t be long until you are just getting clear acrylic over your own nails. Xx
Omg. Me too!! It's satisfying!! This girl has such tiny fingers and nails but she definitely grows a lot in her cuticle area. The amount she gets out of there is just my favorite part.
Great job Anna and Anastasia! Beautiful nails! I do my own nails. I’ve grown them longer because the strength of builder gel over my natural nails keeps them from breaking. I bought one of the drills you recommended a while back and learned how to give myself a dry manicure from watching your videos. Thanks! I love watching the cuticle clean up and wish I actually had more dry skin to remove on myself bc it’s so satisfying and I never have much. 😀
Thank you so much for sharing your drill speeds! I never know how fast I should be setting mine. Your videos with Anna are the best! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Tell her we love her 🥰
I love how far Anna has come with your help and advice. She's awesome and so are you! Please keep showing her journey with us because I love watching how much better things are getting for her. ♥️
Long video with Anna and storytime? Win-win-win! Anna is doing so good! Please tell her that we're all so proud of how far she's come. I'm so happy for her that she made it to a fill finally! 💗

You do a beautiful job. Making people feel good is making a difference

Great job Anna!!🥳🥳
As a fellow short nail biter, I understand your struggle!
I love watching you do Anna's nails 😍

I’m 40 with an oral fixation...still bite my nails. It's why I use coloured dip or acrylic so I can’t chew it off like I did polish.
I used to do that when I was younger, thank god I broke the habit
