Love the design of the GV80. I would forgo the Signature trim as I cant stand the half chrome/half blacked-out appearance that some automakers do. It should be all or nothing on both. The Genesis may not have the dynamics of a X5 or the prestige(pun intended) of a GLE, but one sit inside of the interior shows that Genesis came to play! They do need to add 48V architecture to the powertrain for improved fuel economy and off-line acceleration. The GV80 has been out for a couple of years now and it still remains a stunner!

Genesis did a great job with this new trim level. And this is also a new paint color. They said this comes in red black and green but I’ve also seen it in white which looks sharp as well. I saw one in person and it is a bit strange when you’re in the back seat and can see between those rear seats into the trunk area. I wish Genesis would have put a divider to close it off. I’ve only ever owned Hyundai cars so I’m biased but I have a 2022 GV80 and it’s worth every penny 😁
@@Kush333 I’ve had a 2013 Elantra Limited, 2015 Sonata 2.0t Limited, 2020 Sonata Limited and then 2022 GV80. I never had a single engine problem with any of them. Closest thing I’ve had to “problems”, have only been the recalls (which I’ve never experienced any issues they just fix it to prevent any). Their warranty speaks volumes. Best warranty out there because they live up to the expectation; and the off chance it doesn’t, they’ll take care of it. If I had to choose one thing that can be irritating, is the Genesis Service. Because they’re a newer brand, a lot of their locations are piggybacked into Hyundai service center so it’s crammed. When Genesis starts to build more stand alone dealerships, hopefully this will free up some availability which is definitely needed for a luxury car brand. Good thing they have pick up valet for service!

Love this video. I appreciate the window sticker view. Any plans to review the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus black trim. I'm looking at this one and the Lincoln.
What makes the GV80 special is its dedicated rear-wheel drive platform, which aligns with the level of luxury as Mercedes-Benz and BMW. And it shows on its side as it has the prestige gap, which is good dash-to-axle ratio. Can’t even find that on Audi and Mercedes-Benz, even though the GLE is rear-wheel drive. There are three that have the prestige gap: BMW, Range Rover, and surprisingly, Mazda with their new rear-wheel drive CX90.
That front grill looks really good however a lot of complaints in forums indicating that medium to large road debris goes through the front grill and damages the radiator. I'm surprised Genesis didn't come up with the solution to help their customers out in this regard. I guess this is the price of beauty where practicality goes out the window!
Test drove one in 2022, very slow, had the petal to the metal. The suspension was terrible on those 22s. Genesis of Corona CA tried to mark it up to 88K. We laughed our way out of the dealership.
GV80 Prestige Signature looks really beautiful. I find there is one issue: when you fold the back 2 seats flat, the second row console is higher than the flattened seat back. If you put big / heavy articles in the back trunk, you risk damaging that console. A defect of design?

No way you would choose this over the MDX Type S for close to $80K………The dark rims and smoked grill all seem to be aimed at competing with the MDX.
