This game is really cool and interesting how blinking plays an aspect into the story I would love to see more of this and it reminds me of the 2 player game "It takes Two" keep up the good work Dish

*SPOILER WARNING*
This game is so distinctly beautiful as a person with invisible chronic illnesses, my disabilities are non-life threatening so there is a major difference but the portion where Benny feels he's not strong enough really resonates. I've missed out on so many experiences this year because of my chronic pain. It not only tells a story about how life is short but also that the short lives can be just as spectacular as the long lived. Every time I watch a playthrough of this game the emotions flood back, it really just reminds me to be grateful for the life I have lived. Even though Benny didn't accomplish what we view as profound things he still mattered. In the end portion it says ''he was everything he needed to be, just as he was'' that is such a beautiful sentiment and it really puts the whole game into one sentence.
This made me shed tears. It's not easy for sure but I wish you the best moments not only for now but also for your future.
Also in the begining it says the agave will die in 11 years and ben dies in 11 years
As much as everyone gives Chloe shit for, well, being a little shit kid, the one thing about her that makes her so important to me in the story is the part at the end that's like, "He met a girl, Chloe, who felt all alone in the world, and made her feel okay again."
Chloe was in an awful place when we first meet her. She just moved to a new house with a dad that can't afford to buy her any games (as she complains about the day we meet her, and further strengthened by her coming to Ben's house to play Conchsters). Her dad and her cousin Yun don't let her talk, or "I can tell they're not really listening", which is such a thing that sucks for kids when they try to talk to you about anything, and if you don't want their hearts to break, you really gotta listen to them-
And we (Ben) made school, after school, nights, okay for her. It didn't fix her recently losing her mom, but for a bit, she's okay again. And to know that Ben died, means she has to experience that loneliness again.
Also yes, I cry every single time I watch a playthrough of this game. As I should.

Man, it's very gut wrenching when Benny's father asked him one last time to play the piano of his mom's piece to bring them back together. As we see/hear her leaving the room, she is in so much pain, crying a lot. Seeing it, I know it gave her some peace to hear her work played again by her beloved son one last time; it gave them hope. It's just a kick in the heart, such a powerful scene in which I cried a lot before the final scene.
“hed already lived a great life a full life he was everything he needed to be just as he was” is the greatest paragraph of words i have ever heard and read, its the reason i sobbed for another half hour after the video ended❤❤
I managed to keep it together for most of it but “And he was everything he needed to be. Just as he was.” Hit hard.
This game is indeed spectacular. It shows not only how unpredictable life can be but also that we should not blame ourselves for diseases, may it be chronically or temporarily. We cannot determine our conditions but we can try to make the most of it, with the support of our loved ones, family, a friend or even a pet. Thanks for playing this game, this video and the game made me burst into tears but still conveyed a big message that we should take to heart
also one thing ive noticed is how when were playing the game is that we focus so much on trying not to blink to get the full experience. but in the end it didn’t make too much of a difference if we did or not, just as the ferryman would say don’t force it, both outcomes were more than enough to enjoy and understand the story. which I feel resonates with the message of the story and the heartbreaking ending dialogue of he was everything he needed to be, just as he was :(

Amazing writing.
It was right after Benny's true death that I realized his whole original story had been a lie. That he was just a child who died young. That the whole story he had originally told was what he wanted to be, the story he wrote about the person named Benny. I cried. So much watching this.
revisiting this and damn, i dont know if its been mentioned before but at the beginning the beach scene the one where the mom talked about the agave plant, it was a huge foreshadowing to how things would go.
I didn’t think this game would make me cry, but it made me cry. Such a beautiful message told in such a creative way, games like these aren’t usually executed as well as this one but when they are they’re beautiful to play. This was such an amazing story to watch! Thank you so much for playing miss dish :)

This is the most gut wrenching game I've ever watched. My heart was ripped out, my nose is running, and I'm positive my tear ducts are fully operable. I started bawling when the mom started talking to Ernie when she came through the window and didn't stop sobbing until the end of the game.
I cried when i saw that dish skippe past the night scene- that's actually the part where the cat dies.

You have no idea how much I enjoy these types of games when watching your channel, I feel like it shows me different perspectives on things and helps me truly appreciate that life is the way it is even if it’s bad sometimes. Thank you for doing what you do
Honestly this is one of my favourite games I’ve ever played and I loved how they did the concept of the pain/illness. As someone with chronic pain, the sharp jagged ever present red bundle of nerves is a really good representation of what I go through with my pain sometimes.
As a guy with severe health issues since I was a child, this game hit me hard. Couldn't get out of bed, had to have a pain pump with my kitty by my side. Try to eat, hit the pump, sleep and repeat. Would only get out of bed to empty my ostomy or my mom helped me with that.

This is the 2nd time I'm watching the playthrough of this game and I cried even more than the 1st time I watched it which was kind of a long time ago, I feel like I understand the feeling of the character more now and I just can't say anything and just burst into tears as the game is reaching its sad ending. I didnt really remember what happened since I watched it a long time ago but I really love the concept, the twist, the storyline, just everything it just touches you deep in your heart it's so amazing..
Played this on my phone as one of the available Netflix games. Finished it in one sitting... and yes, hit me right in the feels. It's one of my very favourite games to be sure.
Oofffff every time I rewatch this gameplay, I find myself sobbing so hard I get a headache...stories, movies, games, anything about kids being sick and passing away before they could get old always make me break down but this game in particular hits me the hardest. The way they tell benny's story and the line "he was everything he needed to be, just as he was" was just so so beautiful...Thank you for this amazing gameplay side dish

I think it worth knowing that in the camping scene with Chloe she goes on to say that she is glad the game was not very good, because if it were better, they might have been distracted by it rather than all the fun they had from being together

Just comparing, but I watched your version first and then PewDiePie’s and I seriously love your play through the most. You show your raw emotion and play the game as it’s intended. You don’t take the no blinking as a challenge. It’s not about not blinking, it’s merely a mechanic to progress the story. Thank you for showing this beautiful game to me.
This game really does resonate well with life, I'm glad I was able to see you play it dish! It's highly underrated and deserves more recognition. If anyone suggests for a game to play I'll tell them to play this :)!

Nah cuz whats crazy is the back and forth in pov at the end makes it more painful the more you swap lmao. Like with every blink I wanted to cry more.
"How he met girl, his neighbor," "who felt all alone in the world," "and made her feel okay again." gets me SO BAD every time i come back and watch it. the teary-eyed blinking and the back and forth in this is an absolute masterpiece of game engineering

It's been a couple years since I played this. Decided to give it another go. Sobbed even harder the second time around.
I discovered this game way back 2021 and...I can't help comparing people who played it back then to the ones who played it now...
Players now sounds harsher towards the Mom while the players then are harsh but at the same time understanding as to why Benny's Mom is that way.
The same way with Chloe, making me think that...we all just hate children don't we?
