Well, they gave us the trailer and mini-vids about Infinite, but the game turned out to be totally different. Still... I'm like most people, I'll drink up whatever they give us 😊

Am I the only one that would just absolutely love a completely open world set in Rapture? I just feel like there is so many untold stories about the city
I dissagree. Im a new fan and im currently playing through the second game and imo raptures story shouldve ended after Bioshock 1. Thats not to say that i disslike Bioshock 2. I actually think its amazing and far better than infinite but rapture was spicificly created as a way to cretueqe objektivism. Bioshock 2 wouldve been better (imo) if it was set in a world that was spicificly created by the team of Bioshock 2 to cretueqe collectivism.
Nah open world would just ruin the game and story and make the devs focus on building the world we already love. The reason we still love it, is because of the mysteries it still holds.

@@joelpettersson4055you only think that because rapture is fresh in your mind to be honest which isn’t a problem or anything but for us old heads rapture is “good old days” …I think the bioshock we should get involves multiple lighthouses again but we explore more of them with medium depth into each one some of them being rapture some being in space some being in the sky some underground some of them something else creative and there could be some new villain like Elizabeth or even herself trying to take control or merge all of the lighthouse worlds giving us access to enemies powers and characters from a mix of the worlds
i feel like they're done with Rapture but i recently replayed Infinite and when I saw one of the big daddies use their hook to grapple onto a building i was like yo, that's it. like a fully open world Rapture where you can walk the seafloor and grapple from building to building and enter all of them.
The day that another Bioshock comes to life, there will be a HUGE smile on my face. The only thing I'm afraid of is that Elizabeth is a fantastic character that I don't know if it can be surpassed. Other thing is that nowadays some videogames are having political agendas inside them and that was not the case for all Bioshocks, The mass effect series, Borderlands and other masterpieces... So now I'm afraid they will go the same way and give us something worse. Idk, maybe I'm just exaggerating... i hope so. (sorry if I wrote something wrong, English is not my native language)

Bioshock was always political, but the difference is its politics are discussed and divulged by fictional characters in creative ways using good writing and story telling. It's like how xmen is political or metal gear, but not the modern "woke" kinda of politics were all exhausted by.

In #1 it deals with socioeconomic issues exacerbated by unbridled capitalism. Dr. Steinman has a whole audiolog about how with plasmids even ones gender is for the choosing.
In number 2 we have the polar opposite, with a critique of socialism through Sofia lamb.
In infinite we have pretty clear criticism of old school America and the "conservative value system". Somewhere on the cutting room floor was an analysis of revolutionaries, but infinite had too many cuts for consistency.
Did you even play these games?

There is still much to be explored with Colombia but I'll be fine with it if they choose a new location for the main game and add Colombia as a DLC like Burial at Sea was.
I like the idea of an Arctic setting but personally I'd love to see a hollow earth type of cave city or a moon base.
What more is there for Colombia? Nothing; It's probably the least fleshed out setting in the series, and what we DO see is often quite lackluster in terms of depth.

We saw that Columbia was doomed to drift & crash into the ground during the Songbird battle, but we never saw where it ended up crashing. What if a wholly separate Arctic society had a sudden abrupt meeting with the displaced former people & technology of Columbia? Ruined Columbia exploration?

BioShock has gotta be one of my favorite game franchises along with fallout
I think it's crazy my favorite game (the og BioShock) and I are roughly the same age (I was born 2007 dec) and it still holds up that's so cool to me

Even if Cloud Chamber came out and gave us bad news like the game being cancelled or development hell or development restarting or something I’d take it at this point. I’d rather know if things are good or absolutely horrible than not know at all.

I miss this game series so much and still play it from time to time bioshock 2 was my favortie but i love them all. I hope to see this game pop out again and take storm!
I will summarize this entire video in one sentence. "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if we got official Bioshock 4 news?"
Fallout 4 was announced 6 months before it was released. Bioshock 2 was teased 11 months before it was released. Left 4 Dead 2 was announced 5 months before it’s release. Idk why you think literally a year+ isn’t enough time for a release…. MOST games are announced the year they’re released. A small amount are teased further in advance, depending the size and studio.
Even a simple picture of concept art would be a relief for the fans. Just give us something, 2K!!

I would like to also hold my expectations at a minimum at best, do to the fact that we have not seen any kind of trailer or graphic for it since the initial time that it was in development from the new studios.
I'm too jaded to have any faith in it, especially after Levine's more.... recent works.
I'm going in with extremely low expecations: Great budget, great polish: poor execution.
It's hard to get excited, cause you know once they finally announce it, The release date will probably be a year or 2 after that at least. And if it's anything like most other modern games it will get delayed 3 times.
Must admit, even though I was the biggest Bioshock fan you’ll ever meet, I’m beginning not to give a crap about this clearly dead franchise.
It was wrapped up better than we could ever expect in Burial at Sea 2. Let’s be grateful for that and turn our sad, yet hopeful eyes toward Judas which has a trailer and a hope in hell of coming out.

Shouldn't it be Bioshock 3 and not 4? I mean I know that they're 3 games but Infinite is not Bioschok 3.
It's quite sad & honestly disappointing, that there's been no information whatsoever regarding the future of the BioShock franchise, other than the BioShock film assuming that gets made...

I know it's just leaks and speculation right now, but I'll keep my expectations low as well. Without Ken Levine will it retain the same storytelling and feel. Also, I've only got a dusty old PS4 so at least I've plenty time to save up 😁

Imma keep my expectations high because it's Bioshock. It has to be good. Keeping them low would make a subpar game passable. I don't want a subpar game. I want a game that blows my mind like the others did. Not every game is perfect sure. But bioshock is pretty close to perfection

There is Nothing wrong with taking a story in a new direction, but for me, I enjoyed the little sister, big daddy dynamic and would like more of it.

I wont say to start getting hopes up, but weve had an update on a game gone silent, and that update have a release date of the same year before. So just because we havnt heard anything yet! Doesnt mean a 2024 releasd is impossible
I feel like the Antarctic levels make more sense reversed. Heat must be a major commodity in that kind of environment so it makes less sense that the wealthy would want to be underground in the more temperate and less weather exposed environments. While they'd want their poorer counterparts above ground hunting and handling the resources needed to keep them running

I'm kinda wondering if the reason why they won't say anything for the next Bioshock game is because of the movie Netflix is doing with Bioshock, it's just a guess though.
With Bioshock "4", it's a game that they can't screw up because of the legacy what the first game did, regardless, I'm excited. :D

This is probably a minor complaint when we're barely getting updates,but I REALLY hope we'll be allowed to stream Bioshock 4 from console without needing a capture card.

I like the glacier arctic setting. It makes sense. Its a parallel to rapture. Like how Columbia was. It's a way to bring the game back to more horror too. Hopefully at least
I'm okay with no updates. It's been 4 years since we've heard anything, but the world was shut down for 2-3 of those. I would be surprised if they were still on schedule for a 2024 release, but you never know. They could drop a teaser, then a trailer a month or two later with a release date 3 or 4 months after that and the hype train would explode. I know I'd love to hear nothing and then find out that it will be releasing really soon, as opposed to little crumbs here and there for a while. Hope you're well, and I love your content!

I think the bioshock we should get involves multiple lighthouses again but we explore more of them with medium depth into each one some of them being rapture some being in space some being in the sky some underground some of them something else creative and there could be some new villain like Elizabeth or even herself trying to take control or merge all of the lighthouse worlds giving us access to enemies powers and characters from a mix of the worlds maybe we even play a few separate characters who are somehow able to talk through some weird mind link thing or maybe small tears you find from the dimensions merging idk there’s so much cool stuff in really interested in the lighthouses but maybe others aren’t

Ken was the one that was responsible for both BioShock Infinite and Burial at Sea; His lack of involvement is not that much of an issue.

We don't know; Hell, we don't even know what it's even gonna be dealing with, let alone it's setting.
I don’t want Cloud Chamber to rush on the new Bioshock because if they put out a rushed Bioshock game, they’re going to destroy the series as whole like wat happened with Saint Row.
False equivalence, for one; For two, bad games exist regardless if they're rushed or not. I don't think I need to remind you how bad Duke Nukem Forever is despite it having been locked in development hell for 15 years, or how bad Forspoken is despite that game having been in development for over 4 years. It all comes down to things like budget, executive meddling, engine problems, crunch, etc.

Seriously. At least with Elder Scrolls 6 it's recently been confirmed to have started development (Starfield just finished up it's fulltime development, meaning a lot of BGS staff are now free to go onto Elder Scrolls), and we at least know from that teaser that the game isn't going to be set in Morrowind, Elsweyr, Black Marsh, Skyrim, or the Summerset Isles.
Constants and variables😊, personally I just don't see it as necessary... Bioshock as a whole is now perfect🙂
