I'd say... maybe add Layla to the honourable mentions. Her shield strength makes her almost like a 4-star Zhongli. There's also the high Cryo applications, too.
She's outshined by Kirara and Thoma, and even healers. A team that utilizes Layla will be weaker unless she's the core of the team such as hyperfridge. She's a good shield but her element does nothing, plus she has less up time & durability than Thoma & Kirara. Layla isn't that good but she's a solid choice.

In the absence of Shenhe, my C6 Layla provides cryo resonance & support on my Ayaka freeze team alongside Koko & Kazu. This team has blitzed many floors in Abyss but I'll replace her with Shenhe eventually.

He requires no up time, nor energy cost because an ER weapon is enough to feed him with a second pyro such as bennett or xiangling. If a team is able to utilize thoma, then that team is already going to preform stronger because 1.) They're open to Pyro Res, 2.) Burning Melt w Burgeon [wrio's best team outside of shenhe teams]. If we're in a quality of life situation, then yes Layla's shield is more convenient as it's a skill; however an invested thoma will ALWAYS outshine Layla.

Burnmelt, best used with Wriothesley 4. The upcoming overload team, with the upcoming character (Chev) he will have a new use as well i think With C6, he is not only a burgeon / shielder, but also the NA Buffer..

Lisa should be replaced by Beidou. I am very surprised Beidou doesn't even make it to the list. She is certainly one of the most overlooked 4 stars in the game since launch. Compare to Lisa, she has a lot more to offer, very good AoE damage at 2 - 5 targets, and even above 5 targets, still performs relatively well. Does really well as a 2nd electro unit in hyperbloom team if you want some AoE since she doesn't steal hyperbloom because her lightning discharges never target the seeds. She is also one of the core unit of the standard Taser Team. And on top of that also offers damage reduction, which when paired with Xingqiu, makes you almost like having an actual shield, and also having a parry mechanic that is soo satisfying to play.
You are right but she has some huge negatives. Like you said why should you bring a second Electro in Hyberbloom that's stupid. She is as expensive as Lisa is. Well Tazer wasn't really Meta anyway just a Solid team.
Honestly thought fischl and sucrose would be worthy of being in the title, always considered those two with the others as the ‘big 5’ of the four stars
Rosaria and Beidou also as Rosaria has a very good Offield cryo application and Beidou makes for a better AOE electro unit than Lisa at half the cost. She also does solid damage and can be used as a shielder due to her E skill.
I would say kirara is a good option for a shielder as 4 star if layla doesn't fit into team and also being overall good for exploration and with C4 her offield dendro application is better but nothing ground braking she has one of the highest multipliers in game on her burst crowned it's like C0 - 1024% C5 - 1200%

Current Sucrose main, supported by Xiangling, Yao Yao, and Furina. Anytime her skill/burst hits an opponent, her whole team get about 180 em. She has an additional em buff with her burst solely, and a elemental DMG buff at C6. With her first con, this allows you to strategically apply em buff by giving you two applications. Sacfrags also resets this quite easily. This is my favorite team. It's like Pokemon madness with a slurry of burgeon, vape, bloom, and burning. Shock and awe, pokemon-style. Yao Yao is another favorite, and she got even more buffed with Furina
i would choose Diona over anyone else. she freezes, she heals, she shields. great for exploration, along with furina and wanderer. and her build is relatively easy.
You dont really mention dps units. Early game you don't really know what you'll get from gacha, so someone like YanFei is hugely beneficial. Even late game, Heizou is really fun and powerful.
I totally agree with u about both Lisa and Kaeya. The thing is their constallations are so hard to pull and so must be bought in paimon shop. I have both at c6 now and they can do so much damage

Additionally her burst and skill domso much damage and she can snapshot bennets attack boost like xiangling. Moreover she is an important unit for taser comps which are one of the most f2p friendly team comps befor hyperbloom existing. Another thing to pint out is that her burst cant proc hyperbloom so she can be playe in double electro comps without stealing any damage from hyperbloom bots like kuki or raiden
Beidou being pissed due to Lisa for Aoe electro damage, Noelle... i exist, Diona...who does everything you want from support, Sayu who is realy good suport for people who dont have Jean and there is Kirara...
one big wrong info in this vid: thoma is the 3rd best shielder, not the 2nd! obviously, layla has the strongest right after zhongli! but i use thoma more often than her because of his useful burst

Tell me you don't know how to play Thoma, nope its been THEORYCRAFTED; Thoma has a stronger shield than Layla. He has an up time of 30 seconds on shield, literally twice the amount Layla has, even triple. With max stacks, you should be reaching that around the half way mark of his up time meaning you have 15 seconds of RAW shield that is literally equal to zhonglis. His shield is stronger, lasts longer, and is more useful in scenarios where you need pyro for pyro res or burgeon. Layla has a worse shield than KIRARA and THOMA, at c1 she is still pretty good but weaker than Kirara and Thoma.

She gets 60% shield strength, for attacking an enemy 3 times; yes her passive says 3 different enemies however it doesn't matter you can attack the same enemy 3 times and get the 60%. Thoma also has a VERY strong shield passive on top of his insanely high scaling for shielding, literally read their KIT. It's been theorycrafted.
Right now with Furina in team if u have a c6 Yanfei then build her I am amazed at how good she feels now...I am running c6 Yanfei with MH, Yelan r2 elegy, Jean and Furina and the DPS that's been put out the team is crazy...!!!!
I never built Razor because I always thought Lisa was good. I got made fun of in the beginning, but I always liked having electro on demand. Felt vindicated when dendro came out lol
Would've replaced Thoma for Layla, you just can't play thoma pre c4 without sacrificing shield strength for ER% that even c0 layla out performs his shield. Also Cryo fits way better in most teams imo. Pyro from thoma burst could steal some hydro or dendro aura while cryo would either freeze the enemey or just do nothing at all.
Layla is much worse than Thoma, dmg/utility/shield wise. C0 Layla does not outpreform his shield nor does her c1 do anything to help her case, she has LESS durability than Thoma and less up time, thoma literally has a 30 second shield if used properly, his shield has a max of 14 stacks meaning you have 16 seconds of pure raw max shield strength that is LITERALLY equal to Zhonglis. C0 Thoma is playable in Burgeon even with an ER Sands or ER weapon, Burgeon and Hyperbloom are SO OP that they'll do good damage, and his shield strength at C0 is also incredibly good. Layla will never be as good as someone like Thoma, and not even Kirara; cryo is in a bad place right now.

I'm surprised that Diona isn't getting more attention. She can shield, she can heal, and she can apply Cryo for a relatively long time. She's my most used character and her Q with Furina's Ousia E is an absolute menace
it's been so long that ive invested in Fischl, literally gave her Polar Star, Golden Troupe, crit stats, but still, my Fischl just DOES NOT DO DMG :( the max with bennett is 30k but normally just around 10k to 20k :( idk I'm so frustrated with fischl
Now i have all these unbuilt characters will an awful lot of Mora of about 60000000k+, 5300 hero's wit, 130 fragile resins. Been waiting for a year and time to attack the abyss.

Sucrose c6 is one. Some say fischl is worth it up there but electro now requires dendro to actually compete with fire water. Chongyun diona Rosaria are all useful and all happen to be cryo Yao yao is as good as xiangling. Kuki is even better than fischl too
2 things I disagree with are Yaoyao being better than Baizhu and Lisa being better than Fischl... Baizhu is such an amazing healer and yes, his shield is not great but it was never meant to be a "shield" it's just a bit of interruption resistance. He's a catalyst and honestly he applies more Dendro than Yaoyao if you play him as the on-field. Personally I think Lisa rivals is Miko, because she basically does what Miko does but she gives DEF shreds... She doesn't battery like Fischl which is formidable for characters that need a lot of ER like Yae and Lisa.
U could’ve left out sucrose and fish, most ppl know the big 5 xq, xiangling, sucrose, Bennett, and fish. I think especially fish and xiangling just keep getting better as the game gets older

As a former Lisa main, I've never underestimated her. Beidou took her place but I still use her sometimes. My Beidou is built as a main dps (though even I agree she has better potential as a sub-dps in most teams), I'm surprised she wasn't in this list at all as a sub dps because she can hit a good 15k+ without buffs during her burst (with balanced crit stats, obviously using insane crit dmg and low crit rate would make her hit higher)
This is why every order 4 star don't care about all player every player want this three 4 star bulid team and why when bulid team always Bennett xinggiu xianlilng is here but every 4 star is underrated never useful can we good team without this three 4 star and i tired when i want good bulid always this three is here
No Charlotte? Really? I know she just came out, but she is one of the best 4-star healers in the game. Built correctly, she can almost compete with Jean, and she is very useful paired with Furina and other hydro units.
Why is Lisa on the list but beidou is not even mentioned? C2 beidou would absolutely bury Lisa in a sub dps role and on field dps it’s not even a comparison.
I’m probably minority who don’t like banat and fish girl and throw them away into mining, water boy (still can’t spell him) is pretty fun but I pulled him much later after Yelan first banner so he’s still under leveled out of laziness.
Kaeya is really solid and a part of one of the best dps teams and as a layla main WHO CROWNED THIER LAYLA she isn't OP by any means and lisa constilation is just insane about beidou is that i am currently building her and she is a UNITE and i am kinda surprised she didn't make it diona just lacks damage like layla is enough that's if u even need a healer or shielder in freeze since 80% their won't attack but she is a good battery ig
I don't really agree with Keaya or Lisa but enjoyed your reasoning. I just think Rosaria is more useful than Kaeya and once you have Kuki or Beidou you will bench Lisa indefinitely. I would drop them and slot in Rosaria and Beidou plus make room for Layla she has become my go-to second shield option after Zhongli. Shielder are in high demand for many new dps units (Hoyo just doesn't bake in interruption resistance like they used to). For those who think you can play Wanderer, Nuev or Lyney without a shielder are pure cope.
I don't get Fishl, at all. For some reason I was cursed with 6 copies of her and she's still annoying as hell. The play style is the worse, there is not one other character with a more annoying gameplay than her.

Sucrose c6 is one. Some say fischl is worth it up there but electro now requires dendro to actually compete with fire water.
Chongyun diona Rosaria are all useful and all happen to be cryo
Yao yao is as good as xiangling. Kuki is even better than fischl too
My c6 Kaeya helped me 36 star abyss this rotation. I was only able to get 33 stars before I swapped him in

For aggravate teams, I would replace alt with an anemo or another dendro char

2 things I disagree with are Yaoyao being better than Baizhu and Lisa being better than Fischl... Baizhu is such an amazing healer and yes, his shield is not great but it was never meant to be a "shield" it's just a bit of interruption resistance. He's a catalyst and honestly he applies more Dendro than Yaoyao if you play him as the on-field. Personally I think Lisa rivals is Miko, because she basically does what Miko does but she gives DEF shreds... She doesn't battery like Fischl which is formidable for characters that need a lot of ER like Yae and Lisa.
U could’ve left out sucrose and fish, most ppl know the big 5 xq, xiangling, sucrose, Bennett, and fish. I think especially fish and xiangling just keep getting better as the game gets older

As a former Lisa main, I've never underestimated her. Beidou took her place but I still use her sometimes.
My Beidou is built as a main dps (though even I agree she has better potential as a sub-dps in most teams), I'm surprised she wasn't in this list at all as a sub dps because she can hit a good 15k+ without buffs during her burst (with balanced crit stats, obviously using insane crit dmg and low crit rate would make her hit higher)
This is why every order 4 star don't care about all player every player want this three 4 star bulid team and why when bulid team always Bennett xinggiu xianlilng is here but every 4 star is underrated never useful can we good team without this three 4 star and i tired when i want good bulid always this three is here
No Charlotte? Really? I know she just came out, but she is one of the best 4-star healers in the game. Built correctly, she can almost compete with Jean, and she is very useful paired with Furina and other hydro units.
Why is Lisa on the list but beidou is not even mentioned? C2 beidou would absolutely bury Lisa in a sub dps role and on field dps it’s not even a comparison.
Lisa is fine but i think Beidou shines more than lisa. Beidou is an amazing character u must build after dendro release.
I’m probably minority who don’t like banat and fish girl and throw them away into mining, water boy (still can’t spell him) is pretty fun but I pulled him much later after Yelan first banner so he’s still under leveled out of laziness.

Kaeya is really solid and a part of one of the best dps teams and as a layla main WHO CROWNED THIER LAYLA she isn't OP by any means and lisa constilation is just insane about beidou is that i am currently building her and she is a UNITE and i am kinda surprised she didn't make it diona just lacks damage like layla is enough that's if u even need a healer or shielder in freeze since 80% their won't attack but she is a good battery ig
Collei is trash when traveler exists and xinqiu is better than everybody on the list in terms of flexibility and utility.

I don't really agree with Keaya or Lisa but enjoyed your reasoning. I just think Rosaria is more useful than Kaeya and once you have Kuki or Beidou you will bench Lisa indefinitely. I would drop them and slot in Rosaria and Beidou plus make room for Layla she has become my go-to second shield option after Zhongli. Shielder are in high demand for many new dps units (Hoyo just doesn't bake in interruption resistance like they used to). For those who think you can play Wanderer, Nuev or Lyney without a shielder are pure cope.
I don't get Fishl, at all. For some reason I was cursed with 6 copies of her and she's still annoying as hell. The play style is the worse, there is not one other character with a more annoying gameplay than her.
