The problem is that Nippon Steel has to pay a huge penalty fee to U.S. Steel despite doing nothing wrong. I can understand the sentiment of not being happy about a domestic company falling under the umbrella of a foreign company. For example, if Toyota were to be taken over by a foreign corporation, I wouldn’t feel good about it either. However, the U.S. government, without helping U.S. Steel, only interferes and now tries to extort money from Japan. This is morally unacceptable. That said, in the world of business, Nippon Steel’s legal team was not thorough enough. This will serve as a lesson, and Japanese companies will likely become much more cautious about dealing with the U.S. in the future.

Take note, the first people who he said would be harmed are the share holders. This deal if you actually look under the hood of it is another corporate merger so they can make money for the share holders and give the executives golden parachutes.

Currently, there is no American steel company that can acquire US Steel, which is ranked 24th in the world. If they acquired it and hired the employees, they would all go bankrupt together.
Other American steel companies are eager to buy the assets and shares that will be sold after US Steel goes bankrupt. They do not have the financial strength to rescue the employees as well.
Japan Steel, ranked 4th in the world, is trying to buy it even at a huge loss because it believes that if they can use the high quality steel and patents made in Japan, which is said to be the best in the world, to produce it in the US and get US companies to buy US Steel's steel instead of Chinese steel, they may be able to compete with China in the future.
Currently, the top 10 steel companies in the world are monopolized by Chinese companies. This is due to a sense of crisis that if things continue as they are, all steel will be made in China.

Diet members are not a profession for those who care about the country, but at least 200 people are in office simply because they want vested interests.
When the United States coldly abandons Japan, Japanese Diet members will start to seriously side with China.

It's too convenient for Americans to buy as many companies in other countries as they want and not allow them to be bought.

Unfortunately, not all of us were financially literate early. I was 35 when I finally educated myself and started taking steps. I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $1000,000 net
worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Now l'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $400,000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feeling.,,
