I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem -- greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. My husband and I will be retiring in the next two years n another country. We are absolutely worried that SS! will no longer be funded. we'll have to rely on his pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific Investment account with Stephanie Janis Stiefel my FA. Our national debt is bloating and expanding every month. Our government needs to get spending under control and cut the federal budget.

I lost two homes in Helene and Milton. The insurance company will not willingly pay more than $28K on $900K policy for one house, and even less for the other. Even though the house was destroyed and ordered removed by state and local governments - it cannot be repaired. Total loss. Even when state law demands a full payout on total loss. Where is your moral outrage in that?

Good evening, Prayers for those affected by this tragedy and the courageous heroic emergency responders… family and friends who are supporting their neighbors in so many ways. Quick question. The area is considered one of the richest, posh areas in the country and there is talk of 100% coverage of costs for 6 months … while one of the poorest areas with hundreds in human and property loss
    - 0- for hurricane and the Hawaii fire. I don’t recall this much financial attention to the plight of these Americans. Didn’t a notable figure say that the Carolinians should have saved in advance to cover their needs … FEMA had no money … budget spent for migrants. What is the difference?Early accounts report California’s extensive fires could have potentially been prevented or minimized? More quickly contained? Will providing these millions/billions of dollars be throwing good money after bad? Or just be just a patch? Will California’s obsessive liberal constituents who support over-the-top controversial environmental climate change initiatives, lack of forestry practices, protecting aquatic and rodent life over common human need, diversion of water resources, reducing the fire funding … allow elected officials to continue programs that create difficulties ie wild fire potential and no advance prep, desolate land into desert for farming reducing food supply, again allow naturally occurring water flow where needed. There is a wonder will there be any change in the mindset of the area …might change? or is the hole dug too deep? The Olympics coming to the LA area? Divert it to an alternate area? Refuse it? Our nations borders having been open for so long…do we need to invite potential harm to return to our country during these times? Is it really going to be appropriate to cover 100% costs for recovery of the LA area on top of the millions/billions that were already planned for the Olympic prep and operational budget? What is to be said when political motivation and greed take precedence over real tangible human need?

I foresee a recession lasting 2-3 years, and if inflation continues to surge, the Federal Reserve will likely raise interest rates soon. Inflation is causing various issues worldwide, such as food shortages, scarcities of diesel and heating fuel, and significant spikes in housing prices, leading to a potential financial market crash. This global downturn could have long-lasting repercussions. Given the current inflation rate of approximately 9%, my main worry is how to optimize my savings and retirement fund, which has remained stagnant at around $300,000, yielding almost no gains for quite some time.

Numerous opportunities exist to achieve substantial profits at present, but executing high-volume and nearly flawless trades requires the expertise of real-time professionals with an ISDA Agreement. This agreement allows investors to participate in sophisticated trades, exclusive to seasoned individuals, and unavailable to amateurs. Attempting to be a high-stakes trader without an ISDA is akin to trying to win the Indy 500 riding a llama.

I always get a good laugh of the disclamer "non-farm employment." A holdover from early 1900-30s when it was difficult to track farm employment and also to conceal the fact actual unemployment was over 50% as farm employment went fro 50+% of total employment in 1900 to less than 25% in 1940 to say nothing of the unemployment caused by switching from horses to trucks and tractors. Farm employmen fluctuation is nearly insignificant today both i % and total numbers.

Ummmm...no! Despite the fact that California is broke, they are technically one of the wealthiest states in the country. They just have too much theft, abuse, fraud, and just overall mismanagement - aka, theyre bad with money!!!!
How come this offer wasnt made to North Carolina and/or Hawaii, or any of the other states when they have an actual natural disaster? The reason the wildfires were able to spread so easily was because of willful neglect on the part of the California government, and how they actually started is still TBT...
So Biden thinks the solution here is to reward them for their mismanagement of their finances and dereliction of their duties???? Let's be serious here, none of the citizens will ever see any of this money or receive any sort of meaningful aide and this "support" will be used to tansfer wealth, pay for the extra cost of illegal immigrants, and shuffle money into other areas of the states "budget".
Perhaps if Democrats didnt have to use taxpayer's money to buy votes in order to stand a chance to win every election, they could actually learn to be responsible with their finances. Just like with COVID, the timing is awfully convenient for California politicians to have another once in a lifetime disaster, that will warrant them receiving more federal funding, right after its announced that they they once again "misplaced" several dozen of billions...

All we have to do is realize supply side Fed policy after the recovery from 2008 caused a sluggish recovery without fiscal policy to boost demand. Contrast that with the rapid recovery from the pandemic and the soft landing without a recession.
