really i am going o air force
booked this job leaving feb 8th!!
Good luck 👍🏽
do i need additional qualifications besides a high school diploma to be a DA?
Is this job only for reserve?
How often do Dental Assistants in the USAF Reserves deploy?
We cannot discuss deployment rates on social media. However, we can say that anyone in the Air Force Reserve, regardless of their position, can be deployed at any time based on the needs of the Air Force.
Do you need any prior experience to be able to do this mos?
Nope. You’re also able to just be trained on the job as a civilian dental assistant too. I was a DA and have considered enlisting in either the AF or the Army as a Dental Assistant too.
I'm trying to get this job in the Reserves. I have experience as a dental assistant as well.
Awesome! Please call us to go over eligibility and available opportunities. 800-257-1212
Air Force Reserve Sounds great 👍🏿
Air Force Reserve i wanna go as this as well what do I do

Jay Man did you go to college for DA before you entered because this is what I’m trying to do before I enlist to have experience for this MOS
what is the total time of your training? is there a phase 2 or 3 after your first 9 weeks?
After initial basic military training, you will attend technical school for 43 training days. This does not include any weekends or holidays that fall within the duration of your course.
Does this career choice translate as a dental hygienist into the civilian world?
Nope, dental assistant and hygienist are totally different. Takes 2-3 years to become a dental assistant, (kinda like a nurse but for dental) nurses aren’t doctors or medical assistants, same translates for hygienist, dentist and medical assistants.
If I go open general, will I get this job?
The Air Force Reserve does not use “Open General” as a method for job classification. We match people with actual job vacancies based on their test scores before they join the AF Reserve. Your recruiter will show you all the positions that are vacant that you are qualified for and you will choose your career field.
Air Force Reserve thank u! But I’m going active duty.
