    Got the pink and blue tips! I have a question though. I have a 4200 psi 4gpm machine. Should I bring down the psi to like 2000 with the pink and blue tip? Or does the tips automatically make the stream be at a lower pressure. I'm mainly doing stucco here in Florida. Thanks.

    Hey Dan, Thanks a lot for all the info you share, been hooked with your vids for the past weeks!! Question: Whats the difference between the blue and the pink tips that come together ? and your thoughts on the "No lather Spay tip" vs The pink & blue Tips?

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  7 лет назад

      The blue tip is a pressure tip so it has a smaller hole causing back pressure in the line. The back pressure will not allow the downstream injector to syphon chems. The pink tip is for chem apllication. It has a large hole so the syphon will work properly while shooting the water/chem mix high up for 2 story homes.I never heard of a No Lather Spray Tip so I can not speak on it but I can say I do ALL my work with just the pink and black tips

  • @bernardtim1776
    @bernardtim1776 6 лет назад

    Let me ask you something. I'm just starting and have never pressure washed a house. The videos are good. So if the pink tip will do the top and the bottom. Why would you ever take the time to change the tips from black to pink when the pink would seem to both? Also, I noticed in another video you said you could use a sprayer and spray the house with the bleach mix and let sit for 15 minutes or so and then spray or you can or you can let the chemicals suck into the washer and mix with the water as you are spraying. One: if you choose the second option do you have to spray the mix on and then turn around and spray again to rinse and 2: which do you think is easiest for a beginner? Also, to start out I was thinking of buying a used one to start just in case I screw it up and then move to a better one next spring as I'll have more experience as I will wash my 2 houses, maybe my fathers(wood & brick). My two are siding for one and brick for the other. Do you treat wood houses any differently than the brick and siding? A guy has a 2800 psi 2.3 GPM(what does that mean) troy built for sale for about 220 bucks. Says it's in excellent condition. What is your opinion on that as one to start out with. If you have specific videos I can see that talk about these direct questions you can send to chatt_town2005@yahoo.com

    On some of the other videos I've watched people say don't shoot from a downward angle, but they are also a little closer than you are and are mostly shooting almost directly upwards.
    My question is, if you stand back where you are, about 10 feet, and shoot it at a little bit of an arc, then clean from the top down. It's then alright to shoot from a downward angle?
    My thought is instead to get up on a ladder, and basically shoot the stream perpendicular, then clean top down. But thinking about it now seems inefficent, especially if the way you are doing it is not going to shoot water inbetween the siding but it would spare me from re positioning the ladder a lot.
    C.

    1- I recently bought a Dewalt 3600 psi. The pressure in All tips works perfectly well, except the BLACK TIP. I connect the small hose to the pressure machine and the other end to the chemical container, but it has NO pressure. why?
    2- can I use the other tips? Thanks for your help.

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  4 года назад

      No other tips in your arsenal will draw soap. Only the black tip and the pink tip if you buy it separately. See if it draws chems with the engine off, no tip installed with just the garden hose running water thru the system. If not, there is a blockage somewhere. Some pumps siphon port have an on/off dial

    I noticed some folks pre wet the siding and some don't (you don't pre wet). Do you see any benefit in pre wetting the siding before applying the chemicals?

    • @DansVlog
      @DansVlog  4 года назад

      Methodical2 The reason why I don’t Prewett my work area is because I don’t run 15 or 12% sodium hypochlorite through my downstream chemical injector. I run 10% sent Straight with a little bit of Dawn dishwashing soap and that seems to be the perfect recipe to do the job without damaging plants or their lawn. Keep in mind a chemical burn doesn’t just happen from the roots. Pre-wetting plantsand pre-wedding the lawn doesn’t protect the foliage from a chemical burn. Only having the patience and the wherewithal to mix your recipe thin and not be in such a rush

    Do you down stream straight SH with a detergent ? I did a job today with my downstream injector and my mix must’ve been too week. I was down streaming out of a 5 gal bucket with 2 gallons 10% SH 3 gallons water and some detergent and it wouldn’t kill the algae off. I ended up doing whole house with a pump up. Anyways is it because the water flow is diluting the mix too much before it hits the house ? Some guys have told me to use straight SH with detergent out of 5 gal bucket and do one section of house at a time. Just want to know what your input is on this ?

    The problem im running into is no matter how much chemical i use. Its like me pressure washer dilutes it. But a wayyyy weaker mix with a hand sprayer literally makes the algae fall off on contact. I don't get it. My second story soap nozzle is orange and does not come out as a strong stream mist. It comes out as a soapy strong stream. And while it makes it up there it literally does nothing but i climbed on a ladder and sprayed by hand and it falls right off. I don't use an expensive power washer or fancy cleaner. I use a special high pressure wand connected to a hose, a scrub brush with a long handle, and a combination of dish soap and bleach in a bucket. The results are great and all of my customers are very satisfied. Cheap and simple getting the job done.

    Hey Dan,
    Avid viewer here. I have a question for you. I just bought a brand new North Star 5gpm, 3000PSI machine that I was really excited about and was willing to leave a great review for but have come across so many problems in the first month that I thought I would write you first rather than leaving a bad review for them in case I am doing something wrong.
    Week 1: Day 1: Wheel spacer/tighteners fall off. Were not factory tightened. Nothing in instruction manual about it. Could not find one of them. Parts department informs me they don't have any. Could take weeks to ship part.
    Week 2: Spring loaded nozzle tip assembly no longer tightens. I replace with Dewalt wand from previous washer.
    Week 2: Pump not putting out hardly any pressure. Take it in to Northern Tool Equip and the inform me that it was clogged. Charge me a $10 shop fee even though it's under warranty. Asked them how it was possible and they tell me not to spray anywhere close to the machine even though I take precautions not to, AND I had a BlackMax machine that I used for several months before that and had NO problems with it.
    Week 3: Same problem. Very little pressure. Take it back in 15 miles away. They tell me it will be a few days before I get it back. Argue with them. They hook it up to check it out. Works perfectly. They tell me it's the gun....which is ALSO only a few weeks old. Replace gun with Dewalt gun. Works fine.
    Week 4: Bolts vibrate themselves off pump. Now I have to refasten them every job or so or they completely fall out.
    Week 4: Chemical siphon NEVER worked since day 1 and still am waiting on wheel tighteners but parts dept. still hasn't gotten them so every time I go around a turn, the wheels almost fall off. They say they can't help with siphon.
    I bought this shit new so I wouldn't have to deal with this crap, but it's almost worse than buying used. What's your opinion? Am I doing something wrong?

      No I plug hose directly into he wand. Be careful using any gadgets in your hose or wand. Any restrictions will cause back pressure and back pressure will stop or significantly slow your ability to siphon chems
