Hahah awww welcome to our crazy little RUclips family, love!!! 💕 I’m so glad this style resonated with you. What’s your fave place to source your decor? I always love hearing from other Grandmillennials!
Amen to all of this Heather! I think a grandmilennial has an appreciation for the things of old. Lots of ceramics of all kinds…Textures…A love of fabrics…Color…A classic style that has kept its appeal throughout generations and also countries with its mix of old English, Oriental, Southern etc. Love your channel! Keep up the videos friend🎀
It’s such a fun topic & honestly I could talk about it for like 10x the videos but I would bore y’all haha so I condensed it all into one! How’s mommy life?!?! 💗
@@SassyFras7276 oh goodness I’ll tell her. Luckily my mom is down the street from them & she’s helping so much! She had a C section so it’s even MORE recovery time.
I have given my grand daughters gorham sterling buttercup for Christmas every year. As little ones, they hated it. Now that they are adults, they love it. One grand daughter commented that "Nana" gives significant gifts. I always give Gorham snowflakes for their Christmas. They each have quite a collection.
I was literally knitting when this video came on 😂. I love pretty china and I have my mom’s set which is a gorgeous magnolia pattern similar to the one you saw at the estate sale, only my cups are dark green on the outside with gold rims and handles with the magnolia inside the cup. Gorgeous!
@@OhSoLovingly just a beanie cap for my husband. He’s a Notre Dame fan so it’s navy with a yellow and green stripe. Not my idea of pretty, but I just taught myself to knit a few months ago and it’s my first project knitting different colors together so good practice. And it’s relaxing while I listen to great videos like yours!
Oh that’s a fun knitting project! I’m sure he will love it. I know I do the same thing while painting. Watching my fave RUclipsrs (Schumacher, Homeworthy, Josie) it’s so relaxing… I’m totally with you! I think I’ll incorporate more relaxing content in my blogs too - keeping your knitting sessions in mind! 💕
@@OhSoLovingly I’m not familiar with those channels so I’ll check them out! I had to look up “chinoiserie” 😅 and what do you know-it’s totally me too! Well to a certain degree, not full-on rooms like I saw on Google, but I especially LOVE bird prints and ornate dishes, and omg-chinoiserie fabric!! I didn’t know there was a name for that! And I love painting too but haven’t done it for a couple of years, I did a few watercolor paintings and found it SUPER satisfying! Do you have your paintings on another platform? I’d love to see them!
Omg yes, you definitely sound like a woman after my own heart! Soon my new website will launch & you can shop prints or originals! It’ll be OhSoLovingly.com 💕
Hi love! I do, if you click the link to like to know it link in the description, I link all my outfits! Follow me in the LTK app for more real-time posts. 💕
I linked the curtains for you in the description box below! They are curtains but I have seen many creative ways of using curtains as shower curtains! As long as you have a plastic liner, it’s fine! 💕
Hahaha Dorian, HOW DID YOU KNOW?? I did plays in high school but realized it wasn’t for me when I was presented with a play in which I would’ve had to kiss our teacher’s son. I pitched a re-write to kiss him on the cheek instead. He was a precious boy with a unibrow & a whole lot of personality - but I was an emotional toddler. That was my final bow hahaha! 💗
Fabulous question! I think they are kind of like a Venn Diagram. The circle on the left is modern and new mixed with some antiques and the circle on the right is English multi-generational estates. Often, in England, you see families inherit a home already filled with furniture that has been lovingly curated over decades… Think castles in Scotland or chateaus in France… But as a 20-something in ATL, I feel like grandmillennial can be modern with accents and staples that are antiques or vintage finds. A big part of if is just buying things you truly love & knowing that they will all come together overtime. It's okay to buy things you love without thinking 'what will this go with?' because if you fill your home with things you love, it will be unique to you & that's always so beautiful! 💖
@@OhSoLovinglythanks for the explanation! I can definitely see the overlap between the two. It’s funny because I actually describe my own design style as “Postmodern English Country” bc of that mixture of modern + vintage that you’re describing, but still eclectic, lived-in & collected.
