Made these as favours for my daughters wedding, coated variously in coconut, chopped almonds, chopped roasted hazelnuts, and cocoa powder.....bagged up in cellophane, tied with ribbon...they looked fabulous and went down a treat. Thanks Titli.
I just love watching your videos Titli, you crack me up every time. I'm sure you know this already Titli (therefore please feel free to ignore the rest of this waffle, teehee) so this is just a quick tip for anyone who doesn't know.... if you use proper dairy double cream, it won't split when the ganache starts to set. I think the reason this one does is because Emlea is a dairy cream substitute which contains vegetable oil amongst other ingredients. So the separation you are seeing is the oil in the Emlea cream. Dairy double cream will not have this issue.....just in case any newbies wanted to know. Gorgeous truffles Titli, they look absolutely scrumptious. "Woo whoo for you" had me in absolute kinks, lol. You are wonderful. Lee xx
Thank you so much! I made truffles earlier today using another recipe (forgive me, Titlis Busy Kitchen) and I just left it in the fridge without a thought and I was so confused. I wondered if it was the orange reacting with the chocolate... but now I know :)
andrewpum Hi Andrew. You are very welcome, I'm glad my little tip helped you out. I personally would never use Emlea for any recipe....as there's nothing quite like the real thing. But I understand that some people can't use proper dairy double cream or maybe just don't like it (heaven forbid, lol). The one and only time I ever used Emlea, I found the results very greasy, I assume from the vegetable oil. So its proper double cream all the way for me now, lol. Lee :)
+Crafty Loops really glad i read your tip! i've seen lots of Ganache videos and i was confused as to why it was separated, glad to learn you need to use specific cream! what cream would you recommend? i've used asda's double cream in the past to make a ganache for cakes, but if there is something better i'd like to know :) thanks!
+Bryony Rogers Hi Bryony, I'm glad my tip was able to help. Double cream and whipping cream, either one is perfect for ganache. Single cream is not great, there just isn't enough fat in it (I know that probably sounds gross when talking about lucious ganache, lol). But the cream needs to have at least 30-35% upwards of fat content in it. So the Double cream from Asda will be perfect. Whipping cream is also great too if you can't find double cream. I personally use whipping cream but that's because its always available when I go shopping and any cream left over I just whip and have it with some meringues and fruit. Hope that was helpful. Lee x
I watched that video when you uploaded it, and I've been religiously doing some of those balls every Christmas ever since. Thank you so much Titli for all you've done!
Dear Titli, these are absolutely delicious ! The texture is so soft and melts in your mouth ! Next time, however, I think I'll use 150 ml of condensed milk and 150 ml of cream instead of all cream as I did just now; I find them a little bit on the chocolaty side and they are a bit soft. How long can I keep them in the fridge? I'd like to serve them for new year's eve, do I need to keep them in the freezer until then?
I absolutely love watching all your videos! They always make me smile! I tried some of the recipes already, and today I found a few I want to try one day! Thank you! Keep posting the new ones!
that toothpick method for dipping the truffles looks so much more cleaner than other methods iv seen on youtube. I'm doing this cheers matey kisses from England! xx
I absolutely love you! I've randomly come across two of your videos whilst looking into making chutney and truffles. You're a fantastic teacher and also full of fun. Out of all the vids I've watched, yours are by far the best!!! Superstar
Hi Titli... lovely recipe. You've said that instead of the cream we can use condensed milk. Do i follow the same boiling in the pan procedure for the condensed milk or it can be used directly. Also if i need to boil the condensed milk , do i dilute it a little first?
These truffles look delicious! I'm planning to make them at my party. I will use condensed milk and milk chocolate. So do I need to half the amount of condensed milk or is it just the cream? Thanks a lot!
Hi Titlis I'm going to try and make these as you make it look so easy ... and they look yummy and great as gifts. however I'm not sure how to store them after making them will they need to be kept refrigerated ?
I tried it with dark chocolate and it worked really well, the other batch I made was with white chocolate, but I guess white chocolate contain too much fat themselves for the ganache to harden properly. so I filled the custard-like thing I got into aluminium foil chocolate wrapping thingys (the ones that look like little muffin thingys). You can eat it straight out of there, tastes lovely!
Wow! I never knew chocolate truffles were so easy to make! Well, I haven't seen Titli upload in about a year now... Please make MORE! I love your videos: they cheer me up and they teach me lots of baking at the same time!
My boyfriend and I love your cooking channel! It is so entertaining and easy to follow. We just went out and got the stuff to try out the truffles! I was wondering if adding some orange liquor would work for these? If you were to add a liquid like that, would you need to compensate with the chocolate/cream ratio? Thanks and I hit the shiny subscribe button! :)
I've found the double cream! So don't worry :D I made the truffles last week for my boyfriend, in a cute little box like yours :). They came out delicious! I didn't left them in the fridge for so many hours because i didn't have time so everything was pretty messy haha. But delicious. Thanks Titli! I'm looking forward to see more chocolaty and veggie recipes :D
hello ! i like your chocolate truffle idea and im planning to give some to my friends for v-day .. i dont know many good valentine chocolate recipes so is it recommended to roll the chocolate mix into love hearts ?? thank you :)
There are millions of folks with their recipes. Rarely are they easy or funny but mostly awful. We need more individuals like you. What fun!!!! Thank you
Hi Titli, Just a few questions...1. When you use chocolate in this or any other recipe can I assume you are always using cooking chocolate? 2. Can you explain why chocolate that you buy to eat can't work, I've always wondered that! 3. Can you use chocolate that is only 52% cocoa solids? 4. Can you use drinking chocolate powder to coat the truffles? 5. Why do most chocolate recipes call for plain chocolate and not milk chocolate? I've finished now... thanks! Thanks
Love this video! My girls and I made them this afternoon and were a big hit! We've now ordered cellophene bags off Amazon, ready for making another batch for Xmas gifts!! We're going to attempt your Vanilla Fudge next, will let you know how we get on :)
You're awesome! I am making these today after watching your video. Thank you for posting. They look delicious, and I love your little box you put them in! :)
What a fantastically simple recipe for something we normally pay a lot of money for - and the gift presentation idea is superb. Yet another wonderful (and very humorous) video, Titli!! Merry Yuletide to you... (P.S. Rum would go nicely in the truffles, would it not?!)
You have save my day! I started making french macarrons, but I did something wrong and all the macarrons looked cracked! Anyway I also made ganache for stuffing the macarrons... Since the macarrons didn't go well, long story short. Th dessert for this dinner were chocolate truffles! Hi from Mexico!
Hello! I just wanted to ask, is it alright if the chocolate isn't that high quality? Oh and I love you and your videos SO MUCH! I've always wanted to try out your recipes and this is the first one I'll make that I got from you~ Thank you so much~ ^o^)/
I love your recipes and your videos in general! Have you ever considered doing a series of student recipe videos? i.e. for us broke/ clueless lot who bum around at uni? :)
If it's not solid now it never will be :-/ What chocolate did you use (and what brand)? In the past I've been caught out by buying something that looked like cooking chocolate but on closer inspection was meant to be used for cake decoration.
@TitliNihaan I used simple milk chocolate and simple white chocolate, both crushed to little bits. I believe it's the fault of the cream. Because your recipe asks for double cream, but I used "regular cream" (can't get double cream in Germany). And I'll try to rescue it! Thank you very much for the help :)
@SadisticCupid Did you use chips or chocolate bar? And what brand of chocolate did you use? You should still be able to rescue these by adding more chocolate (melt ganache gently!)
i found this so usefull..thank U very much it was a very clean way to make them.. and Im wondering the KhOdaHAfez part:D...how do you know the word in persian?
Once added the different coatings on the truffles can you add them directly into the small cases, less washing up :) Or do they need to cool down from handling again?
My boyfriend loves dark chocolate and hazelnuts, they're like spanish fly to him... what a wonderful way to combine both! I know what I'm going to be making!
It depends where you live! You could always pop them in the fridge for a few hours then take them to school wrapped in bubblewrap or lots of newspaper.
As salamu alaikum!!! I love your videos!! I m from Italy.... and I don t know wt is 'cream' and 'double cream'.. :S wt could I used? is the same of wiped cream? thanks sooo much!!!!!!
Dear Titli, I would love to make these balls, but I would like to add something to the ganache to make it more 'fudgy/crumbly' in texture, and I'm thinking of ground almonds. But would this work, and do I need more cream (to make the mixture less stiff) or less cream (because nuts are fatty too)? Any tips would be appreciated...
Can you substitute double cream for heavy cream? Will it still turn out alright? And do I use the same measurement of double cream for the heavy cream?
Made these as favours for my daughters wedding, coated variously in coconut, chopped almonds, chopped roasted hazelnuts, and cocoa powder.....bagged up in cellophane, tied with ribbon...they looked fabulous and went down a treat. Thanks Titli.
Brilliant! I love people who improvise!

Yes you can

You have save my day! I started making french macarrons, but I did something wrong and all the macarrons looked cracked! Anyway I also made ganache for stuffing the macarrons... Since the macarrons didn't go well, long story short. Th dessert for this dinner were chocolate truffles! Hi from Mexico!

All I will say is that the better the chocolate, the better the truffles.
You are a nut and I love it! I truly enjoy your videos, thank you so much for sharing knowledge as well as you sense of humor.
Titli can I make truffles now for Christmas, will they keep if I seal them in chocolate and in air tight tin?
I've never been to Argentina. What types of cream do you have?
'will keep for a month in the fridge' ..... .hahahaha mine never make it TO the fridge.....:D
thanks again for another wonderful life affirming video.
the presentation looks really nice titli!! i want to try this! :D
she sounds like Mrs. Doubtfire cute lol
@TitliNihaan
I used simple milk chocolate and simple white chocolate, both crushed to little bits. I believe it's the fault of the cream. Because your recipe asks for double cream, but I used "regular cream" (can't get double cream in Germany).
And I'll try to rescue it! Thank you very much for the help :)
So pretty! I love your videos and find you very clever and amusing.
What a cute, super easy gift to make! very cool
@SadisticCupid Did you use chips or chocolate bar? And what brand of chocolate did you use?
You should still be able to rescue these by adding more chocolate (melt ganache gently!)
Thank you so much for posting this, I need to make gifts for tomorrow and this is perfect!
i found this so usefull..thank U very much it was a very clean way to make them..

You are so funny.I enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing and I cant wait to make them myself. Thanks again.
I laughed so hard at the melon ball part I had to subscribe. This was informative and fun to watch!
Thanks Titli! It helped me so much!
Once added the different coatings on the truffles can you add them directly into the small cases, less washing up :) Or do they need to cool down from handling again?
@BlackWolf4830 No. There is more fat in milk chocolate so you need to add less fat to make it soft.
omg!! u r great, i;m lovin it how u take the video.. ;) i'm gonna make it soon, hope i made it
My boyfriend loves dark chocolate and hazelnuts, they're like spanish fly to him... what a wonderful way to combine both! I know what I'm going to be making!
@ramyaiyer07 I've never heard of pantry cream. Which country are you in?
It depends where you live! You could always pop them in the fridge for a few hours then take them to school wrapped in bubblewrap or lots of newspaper.
I made these yesterday and they were yummy :)
As salamu alaikum!!! I love your videos!! I m from Italy.... and I don t know wt is 'cream' and 'double cream'.. :S wt could I used? is the same of wiped cream? thanks sooo much!!!!!!

Thank you, very good presentation.
Hi Titli, thanks for your response I would like to know that which brand of plain chocolate you have used to make Ganache. please please please
reply
oh my! I absolutely adore you! I love the way you speak, and this looks delicious :D
I'm surprised! What amounts of ingredients did you use?
@debudada I'm not sure whether that would work or not :-/
iI just love your sense of humour
do you keep them in room temperature or in the fridge when you're done with them?
@Vana1970 The chocolate covered ones will need time to set
Oh thats a pretty, delicious, cute present! Thank you for the idea:)
Absolutely brilliant , thanks for sharing ;)
Your channel is so excellent!
Can you substitute double cream for heavy cream? Will it still turn out alright? And do I use the same measurement of double cream for the heavy cream?
Love the video... with sense of humor ..i love you lol!
It depends how much you add! If you add a tsp or two for flavour then no adjustment is necessary
Hey, you can just use heavy whipped cream (i've used them in recipes like eclair or cream puffs and they turn out just fine)
@grejajz Whipping cream might just work with this recipe too.
Of course
Hi Titli, what brand of chocolate do you use? The full name would be great! :D x
it was real fun watching your video, i loved it! keep going!!!
