    Great presentation young lady. I have many pieces of the PC stoneware and love them. I bake alot and never yet to have anything stick. I season mine well before using, and things seem to just get better with time, as you said. Thanks for your video.

    Your rectangle stone looks like the one I bought in 1993! So dark, nothing ever stuck to it. Sadly, someone st mine on top of a hot stove and it broke into three pieces. I cried at the thought of having just lost a dear friend of about 25 years. I got a new stone, of course, but had to start that seasoning all over again.
    Now, PC has new StoneFusion stoneware that has unglazed pieces that are dishwasher safe! How exciting!

    We have a small, toaster oven size, piece that has been used for nearly 20 years and it is seriously one of the best pieces of cookware that we have. It basically looks like a piece of cast iron at this point and nonstick didn't even begin to describe it.

    Best choice for health too. Especially for men or women past menopause. No excess iron with these. The patinas are oxidised and polymerised fats right? Filling the pores to produce a relatively nonstick surface as with seasoned cast iron. Not sure if you would get aldehydes from that stuff over time oxidising away though. Only above 400 odd degrees C I would have thought. Quite a few toxins are produced from certain oils during heating. Seasoned stone is definitely not as bad as metals like aluminium, iron or copper 🤔

      One of the best things about stoneware is that it’s ready to go as soon as you take it out of the box-no preseasoning required! Just clean it and start cooking. As you cook, your stone will develop a natural nonstick seasoning. The darker your stone looks, the better it cooks. If you want to build the seasoning quickly, make high-fat foods like refrigerated biscuits or cookies the first few times you use the stone.

    My wife accidentally left her P.C. stone bar pan out over night, with baking powder in it, and a mouse decided to make "Buddhist sand art" in it..... (talk about being pissed).
    Is it ok to use some antibacterial soap on it or should it be thrown away?
    Thank you so much.

    • @heidipingleton8347
      @heidipingleton8347 4 года назад

      it's perfectly fine, just clean it with HOT water. Soap won't hurt the stoneware. Cleaning stoneware is even easier than using it. All you need is a little hot water and a pan scraper-no soap required! Food particles, juices, and soap won’t soak into the stones since they’re virtually nonporous. Wait until your stone is completely cooled, then use the scraper to remove any food debris. You can deep clean it with a baking soda paste, so even cleanup is 100% natural. www.pamperedchef.com/pws/hpingleton/stoneware-collection

    Just saved one from the trash today. How do you suggest I clean it? Has oil spots, and the top has spotty glaze on 1/3 of surface as if it was stored and air was corrosive.
