Brian I love the way you teach the must know essentials to be a great guitarist, your lessons on the circle of fifths, play the changes with modes, the CAGED system the essential triads lesson and Combine Simple triads with the minor pentatonic scale are just a few lesson's( there's many more) that cant be matched, I believe that in this lesson Jam in A minor it's essential to learn and you've done a great job teaching this, I also love it when you take the time to discuss things that's important to guitarist. Keep up the great work, Thank You
out of the 10 instructors/teachers I watch, I always come back around to your NO-BS style! please keep this up! There is definitely a reason why your like/dislike ratio is literally 100+ to 1!
Another great lesson. You just never seem to run out of ideas and inspiration, I can see you have a full time job just getting these lessons out to us, thanks Brian, love being your student 💃🎶💃🎶🇦🇺
This sounds FANTASTIC, Brian! I love this kind of solo jam, it goes right into my "do ASAP" list. The shimmer effect caught my ear instantly, very cool one to know! ♪💕
Thank you Brian You outdo yourself eac time. You focused on the most crucial aspect: timing, bars, measures and showed us exactly how to transition into next bar. Trust me, I troll you tube searching in vain for what you demonstrated. I stand to be corrected. There are a myriad channels teaching us fundamentals of soloing etc and what note to transition with, chord tones etc but no one focus on timing, bars etc the way you do. An opinion from a seasoned you tube troller. Profoundly grateful AND guilty about not being a patron member. Will soon.
This is dear to my heart because the walk to the Am strum with rhythmic mutes at 5:17, reminds me of George Harrison’s guitar part, on the studio version of Badge, by Cream. Different of course, but the idea is there. And I have no problem with slowing the video to 0.25% to get Brian’s strum, up-strokes and mutes exact. This is good stuff. Jack Bruce once said, Leslie West has the greatest vibrato and George Harrison, the best rhythm guitar. Thank you, for this lesson.
Love this lesson cool vibe no awkward chords I can’t reach and loads of space to improvise , trying to get my grandson to learn from your channel but at the moment chooses the long haired show offs who start every lesson with 5 minutes of shredding but I’m working on him, I’m sure he will see the light eventually! Thanks for your work occasionally an episode won’t draw me in like this one because it’s outside my playing level but always come back to your videos can’t recommend them enough 😂
It’s weird when I think about it now..I didn’t learn patterns initially, I learned the fretboard and where all the notes were, then I could play the scales because I knew where all the notes were. It wasn’t until later that I realized I was playing CAGED system patterns when I practiced haha.
Heading to Patreon. FYI Please use your computer-generated dots for finger placement on your fretboard. The dots for finger placement is why I paid for your 1-year plan along with an above-average teaching style.
Thanks. Am new to this channel. If I was to look back at your RUclips videos, is there a recommended structure/order for someone playing acoustic guitar? There are so many that it is overwhelming. Could you recommend an 'essential' list of appropriate ones maybe for slightly different abilities/guitar types please. Then we can do extra fun lessons ones when we want to. Is that possible? Maybe even have a one off video about your older videos?
Brian these play on your own jams are awesome! Do you ever dabble in slide guitar at all? It’s always been something I seem to move to the back burner but would love to learn.
This is really an interesting lesson...makes me think of hendrix style...give us more of these please. BTW, is that a fener tele? and what colour is that body please?
i will sign up for $10 a month or $69 a year but when click on the link it is $12 a month or $89 a year. Brian emailed me back. No can do, Mark. i replied, when a business posts a price, it is honored! what a shame
Great lesson Brian! Thanks for teaching this style to everyone! So much fun!
Absolute legend in the scene Tomo! Much love
Hey, your lessons are awesome too.
@Samir Kabir are you a bot?
These "play by yourself" lessons are my favourite.
Even I remembered "Six Blade Knife"... the moment I heard it... awesome 🙏
This is Dire Straits “Six Blade Knife” off first album. Lovely. Thank you.
ok, youre a Brit, right? :)

Very Cool little number.

Brian i love this jam. i used a little tremolo on my amp and got this great sound. now if i can get the whole jam under my belt.
That subtle Leslie effect sort of suggests a keyboard playing along with ya. Very nice.
The Leslie touch is a perfect fit!
Finally. Been waiting all day
Thank you Brian.

It took me ten years to get over chugging and shredding. Now I can’t stand it and only want to play country and blues.
Sounds very good! Good lesson!!
