There was once a majestic adventurous restaurant here in Houston, Tx called Magic Island. THE most unique place I was ever Blessed to visit, and enjoy. Only twice, and it's been gone for quite a while now, and it is really missed. The price was about $150-$200 for 2 people for a decent night, like dinner, up close magic, main room magic, dancing, psychics etc. Worth EVERY penny for the experience, (in my opinion) of a lifetime. THE coolest magic trick I saw literally mesmerized me to my seat ( I think I was 21 at the time). An illusionist was telling us a story about his grandpa I believe, (been a "few" years haha) and the story ended when he took what looked like a 3x3 sheet of paper and tore it into small pieces. Then a wicked green light bathed him when he took out a fan and began fanning at the hand that held the torn paper. At first only a few scraggly pieces would come out and flutter about. Then like an avalanche of paper began to pour out. How he got a 3x3 sheet of paper to produce THAT much I'll never know. But when he did it, I'm pretty sure he called it the "Living Water globe" and man was it ever! I could have watched that performance over and over and never got tired of seeing it. Beautiful, haunting, mesmerizing and just flat out entertaining. I REALLY miss the "good ol' days...Holla if you feel me!
I saw Taylor reed yesterday at Branson he is really cool
I think all magicians and escape artist are very talented!!!
ilov magic tricks and ilov americas has talent...
"Reding my mind-that's private business." I laughed so hard.
The last one was breath taking performance upto the point that thing he use in opening the locks whooooo¡!!
I was holding my breath amazing scary shit.. he made it..
The mind reader who said Robin did an easy trick.
Not true
Jabar Alhamami It's pretty easy.
JustMeIvanGe
tell us how easy it is
jonathan malm I love magic tricks and all that good stuff. I learn on RUclips which is why I picked it up. Notice how small the paper he gave Sharon is. That means it's usually really thin. At 1:42 he shows the judges the paper to 'prove' they can't see through it. However he can. He made Sharon fold it into 4 pieces, not in half. If it was in half, they both would see through. But since it was in fourths, the judges couldn't see the name because it was blocked by another layer/fold. Take notice how he glimpses often at the paper trying to make out the name. The only reason he takes it is to read it. He could've easily told Sharon to hold on to it, but he didn't so he could hold the paper for a bit with a good excuse and read the name.
JustMeIvanGe
well that explains alot, i can't blame you for telling me how he did it because i asked for it...
I saw Taylor Reed lmao. he came to our hotel in Branson and handed us brochures from his act
my family was like 'wat'
first act is easy to solve, the paper that he gave sharon is a special paper, after Sharon wrote the name down and fold it up the ink imprinted through the paper onto his fingers.
Nick: "Man if you don't win Americas got Talent you can go work for the CIA" XDDDD
2:45 >>> He laughed at Nick's joke before he even said it.
Yea minded readddderrrr
Wait a minute. There's no way you can pick a lock with a belt, because the prong (part he used towards the end) is too wide to fit inside a lock.
You know, he already picked the lock ^^ that was just for some drama :P
The guy in the box scared me but the he got out that was close
I held my breath when spencer first started his escape act. I could barely make it to 30 seconds till time ends.
So the mind reader guy didn't get picked. Escaping isn't magic. It's just knowing how to get out of things. The mind reader guy used skills that actually are similar to real magic
He actually used a clever cheat to look at the paper when he was holding it. Plus he has poor stage presence.
Whe n he dropped the thingamajig, that "mind reader" smiled!
what's the hell, a helicopter!!!!!!!!!!!, how the hell is that on a live show like this.
Pretty cool, but if u want real magic, type in Darcy oake semi final
that guys sickkk
or dynamo
That tape is transparent for him, he can see what howard was drawing.
I think my heart stopped during Spencer's performance, especially when his key fell.
Lol sharon "reading my mind that's private business" um girl u said he could
The guy in the water box, who knows if he is actually lockpicking. Maybe it is just a button needed to be pressed and it opens, and he takes time and makes it appear as if he is really lockpicking but actually it is much easier as it looks.
well 1:25 underwater was pretty crazy too lol
You're right, he's not actually lockpicking. In order to pick those padlocks you need two tools, one to apply tension (tension wrench) and then the actual lockpick to raise the pins. The handcuffs only require one tool, but still the whole entire thing is staged. He dropped that lock pick on purpose for dramatic effect, and as someone already mentioned, a belt prong doesn't even come close to fitting in a keyhole. It's no coincidence it took the exact amount of time either: lockpicking at that speed and roughness is very much about luck. Lastly, it would be remarkably easy to make fake locks.
It was true that he could have died though
Final one did nice Houdini tryout trick
2:11 But if it is terribly beautiful
I've seen him on scam school several times lol (The First Guy)
Rivera went to my school today
I still wonder why Sharon made the name robin which is very common
3:37 nice foot you got there
0% change of bribing the judge. It's magic, there is an easy explanation behind the use of paper.
Spencer Horsman reminds me of Jay Baruchel.
This is an easy trick.you get an earpiece and then someone above the judge your doing it on sees what they write. Then he/she tells you what the judge wrote.SIMPLE
3:33 his legs are behind
How a mind reader dont read a 3 letters word (YES) and looks surprising when they announce it to him...
That spencer horsman guy really scared me
i just watch magic trick revealed and the guy on the box thing he actually maid a pants just hanging to show that his feet is there and the guy who escape from the water the locks they are not real they just pop up when you force them.
me to
robin is a common name...
The one with water and the box one that's not magic that's picking locks there's nothing magic about it
I'm sure he peeked the word when the paper was handed to her. Hands are quicker than the eyes.
3:49 , Audition #SpencerHorsman impressive performance, it was not true and shocking
I stand alone maximum 20 seconds under the water but
one minute and twenty three
He just search the things on the internet and then ask it xD
pause at 3:38
u can see his foot
The guy in the tank got me worried
omg
You guys can actually see spencer panicking
sneak peak spidey :)
Even though he said to not make it obvious
Hmm. That mind reader was so surprised -.-
I dont think escaping counts as magic......
Possibility of first contestant use or bribed the judge to do it
Earpiece much?
does anyone know the piano song at the very beginning?
Its Derude - Sandstorm.
DarthZox thx!
He couldn't even spell it right, tut tut.
Melvan is right
It's actually really damn easy
