Overview and Installation of the Retrosound Hermosa M2 into our 1985 Jeep CJ7, Project 'Oh Deer'. See the rest of the write-up over at: www.c4x4.com/Pr...
I've got the exact same radio installed. there are 2 wires that need to supply power. Where did you connect the 2 wires? I believe one is a constant 12v and the other is ignition/Acc activated.
I only have 6x9 speakers in the back (no front speakers) does the sound quality sound okay? and will it run my 6x9 speakers fine without an amp? so straight from the unit itself to the 6x9s
I have no complaints on sound quality. I'm using the retrosound standard series speakers and they do well. They have a full range and sound good... Im not running any rear speakers either.
Hooked up to the speakers. I will someday in the future get an amp and sub for the back speakers. But really, it's a CJ7. You're supposed to enjoy the world around you in it, not turn it into a boombox for cruising the strip mall on Friday nights. :)
Hi great video. I’m looking for the exact same set that you put in your cj. I’ve been on the retro radios sight , and looked for the motor 2 , but am having some difficulty finding exactly what you have. Would you be able to give me the model numbers for your radio and face plate . Basically I’m looking for exactly what you have . Thank you for your video and I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks Jason from Snohomish Washington.
We ordered from Crutchfield. Here's the link, then just search Retrosound face plate and you'll find everything you need www.crutchfield.com/p_068HRMOSAB/RetroSound-Hermosa-M2A-Black-buttons.html?tp=49934
These look great in the Jeep but I could also see these in old muscle cars. Great video and great retro look with modern technology.
Thanks for sharing. I bought a Motor 2 for my 74 Bronco. Probably the biggest bang for the buck. Sounds real good with an 400 watt amp and sub woofer.
That’s awesome , great upgrade

The constant got plugged into the 'Clock' fuse location and the ignition got plugged into the 'Radio' fuse location on our CJ7
@@Cxcom-rg9uj Thanks so much. Implementing tonight.
Where did you get your seats? What brand?

@@Cxcom-rg9uj thanks for the quick response. Just ordered a unit! ❤️
Did you hook it up to the speakers or was that just the radio itself

Your fuel gauge works - must not be a real CJ 😁
🤣 Took a while to get it there!
Annoying background music.
🤣🤣 Send $$ for good music rights.
