What about the fact that you can super jump while holding the power football thing?? Honestly I place beakons really close the the other teams basket but NO ONE uses them! Only me! It's frustrating because I've lost many games due to this.
mari well your doing something wrong. I've placed beakons by the teams basket and everytime I super jump there with a football it always stays there. I don't think you can take it to spawn. Try putting beakons and super jumping to them. You'll see.

However, super jumping to spawn causes your carried clams to break. -When the barrier comes back up, a power clam drops. It probably won’t disappear until someone grabs it.

Some people are asking about overtime so I thought I’d share my experience. Clam Blitz seems to go into over time on two conditions. One, the losing team has at least one power clam on the map before overtime starts. It does not matter if a player has it or not so long as at least one exists. In this case overtime will end automatically on four conditions; the losing team takes the lead; all of the losing team’s power clams despawn; the winning team breaks the losing team’s barrier; or when the winning team’s barrier is back up. The last one only occurs if you manage to break their barrier during overtime in the first place. Two, the winning team’s barrier is down as it turns into over time. Overtime ends automatically if the losing team takes the lead or once the winning team’s barrier is back up.
Overtime will also just end on it's own while the losing team still has a power clam if they take too long to reach the basket (not sure exactly how long this takes though)
One time it was over time, it was over time and we lost the lead, but then I had a ball and was able to slip through their defenses and take back the lead.
There's no way it's around 45 seconds. It feels like 15-20 which if seconds you ask me is way too short in certain stages like Starfish Mainstage (At least the old version. I don't know about the new one yet but it can't be a lot worse.) where you'll need about 30 seconds to reach the other team's basket with the other team being in your way. Also if in the last seconds the team that was behind takes the lead overtime will start even without Power Clams on the stage. However if someone from the team that takes the lead throws another clam the game will end. On that note if you don't have a Power Clam to start overtime throw your clams to a teammate in order to create one.

You can also throw your power clam somewhere empty so your enemies would go there to make sure your team doesnt get it. That is a perfect time to hide and shoot everyone. They won't know you drop the clam on purpose. Also it works for when you try to get into an alley and they are guarding it. You throw the clam to the opposite alley and you can keep going your way and kill them from behind. Like you said you have 10 seconds to do that and pick your power clam back
I didn't know about the last one but one of my biggest weaknesses is not using my special enough (no matter which one) because I'm too afraid that it'll go to waste so knowing that doesn't change much.
I remember when I first started clam blitz I was confused as hell. The game doesn't properly explain what you have to do. So I literally just went round splatting the enemy team, so I was at least doing something to help my allies.

56 seconds to fully charge the special bar? Dude, every weapon has a different amount of p needed to charge the special. I'm pretty sure a 160p special will charge way faster than a 230p special
Now i have to ask does the special charge up fast when 2 or 3 football clams are in the field in your team? Or its just the same as having 1 football clam in your team?
Working on an entire video on the mechanics since there are a ton of different things that influence the charge. But for your specific question, no, holding 2 power clams will not speed up the charge

Calm blitz is like playing football but with clams and you reach you opponents base and throw the power clam at it and you have to kill your opponents so basically it's different from football
Umm no BUT, if you throw a clam it will make a bit of the turf in your ink which will do like 15 damage to them (but won't splat), so it can help you weaken your enemies :0
It used to be able to destroy beacons and trigger inkmines, however it got patched during one of the updates. However throwing the power clam at a wall or turf will charge up your special a bit, so if your special is almost fully charged and you are being attacked, throwing the clam might give you the boost you need to get your speical

I guess both teams had a PC most of the time. Also, I don’t know if it’s still a thing (since I haven’t been able to access my switch in like 4 months) does the team ahead in points still get their special charged, or did they change that?
That's gonna be in the video next week since there's a whole lot of mechanics involved with the charging once the scores are no longer tied. Right now it actually looks like that the team ahead only gets charge if they have more power clams, but still doing research on it!

No it doesn't I have tested it out in recon I got a power clam and super jumped to my base and it got destroyed

Why do I always see people drop 4 clams??
they must be carrying 7+ clams. One thing I didn't mention is that getting splatted during the pick up animation will make you drop an extra clam.
