I think that's the reason so many technical death metal listeners play instruments. If you start learning how to play, you develop more of an appreciation for how much talent goes into making this kind of music.

Non metal people and those who don't partake in the creation of music will argue against it, but how often do you see a musician argue against the point (fact) that extreme metal music is the house and kingdom of the greatest skills in musicianship.
