Great work there buddy! Coming from a restoration background myself I have a recommendation for panels that your using, buy zinc rich primer for the back side of the panel, helps with rust prevention! If you ever have any questions I’m happy to help! 🤟🏼
I mean that’s what I’ve always been told to use is zinc rich primer, for insides of the panels I use single pack with a brush, but anything anti corrosive is Fine! :)
Was waiting for this one! My, oh my what a beauty, love this e34 touring. Looks a little fiddly, but you've done a fabulous job Josh, very neat with a factory look. I suspect mine need doing in exactly the same place. I tested a 518i and was quite impressed with how torquey it was, it kept up with most traffic and a smooth unit if not pushed too hard, sure it can't match a 6 cylinder for smoothness or fun but it's still respectable.
@@Joshwaa___ old school like me! Every one of my BMWs has had chrome, except the E36 where it wasn't even an option. BMW UK are very fond of Shadowline though, they're not even bringing the G60 over with chrome 😥
Good Evening Josh. Really liking your Excellent Metal Work of the Sills and underneath the wheel arches. This will be a Good Project for you Josh. Rather a Lovely BMW, with lots of Potential. I look forward to seeing your next video. You have a Great week too. You always do a Good Job Josh. Thank you. Jonathan.
Love watching your work. Would have liked to have seen more of the workings into cutting out and welding. This all makes me want to get out and welding stuff.
Good stuff as always josh great metal work. I dont know if you follow Ben at tasty classics hes wanting his American ford truck on bags would be great to see you guys collaborate would make a great episode for you both just a thought. Keep up the good work.
@Joshwaa___ he mentioned the idea on one of his videos a few weeks ago I think and I immediately thought of you when he said it and reading through the comments a few other viewers mentioned yourself as well
@Joshwaa___ I can't seem to remember which of his episodes he mentioned it on tho but if you look through the comments your name is mentioned a few times regarding his ford F250 and bagging it
Josh another cracking video, who said youtube doesnt like rust repair haha. You said your friends should stop buying such rubbish rotten cars but they have you, to fix them.i know the exact same feeling.I agree with you on this touring tho,not really worth fixing and its green. Id have weighed it straight in lol
@ I’m not a huge fan of E21s…. Don’t really like any car that has a “Chin” but the overall body shape of the 21 is great. 6 series is another level of cool
I like the touring bmw but the 3 series ones I'm no expert with the many different models as never owned one but they ent no issue to you working on them but when you say it's bad your friends need to listen to you as it's you got to sort all the welding I'm glad I just do my car and not massive projects for anyone no more but I'm not lucky to have a workshop and health and age is catching up with me now after 30 years of welding on fabrication look after you knees josh
Once again top class work. I can’t remember the last time I see an E34 Turing on the road.
@@deansmith6924 Thanks mate! more to come this evening ! 530pm!
Love the tempo to this video, enough detail and imagery without going too deep.
Don’t forget saving these cars, your doing gods work. 👍🏽
Thanks!!

Thanks mate appreciate it! i have been using some anti rust primer on the back side, have used the zinc before too! just what i’ve got in atm!

Great to see what goes into bringing these old cars back to life. Keep up the good work! Really enjoy the content

I’ll see what it’s like when i finally drive it 😂
When i first saw that BMW E34 I had a feeling that someday it would be saved and drive again
Thanks for restoring it
Doing gods work! there’s another video this evening! 530pm!
Not a waste of time if another old car saved . Great fabrication work
You got that right!
No it's definitely not a waste of time that e34 is beautiful pal your work matches it great content
Thanks 👍 New video this evening at 530pm!
Fantastic fabrication work your craftsmanship is 2nd to none keep up the good work and videos
Thanks, will do!
Great to watch the progress you make!
😎
Josh "no more rust repair ever." Louis "but E34!"
😔
Yes more e34 touring content!!! ❤❤❤
More to come! this evening infact!
Great work on this car Josh, and so rare being a 518i with Shadowline trim! I used to have a 525 TDS touring in green like yours, great car!
Didn’t know that! i prefer chrome me haha

more!
Looking great Josh , love the touring well worth saving 😃
It really is!
Definitely worth the effort, I have a soft spot for those E34 Tourings, even in just 518i spec.
I would like one to be honest!
Great quality work as always Josh 👏
Glad you enjoyed it
Stunning work there 👏 👌
Many thanks!
I agree, some nice skilled fabrication work there!
Love watching your work. Would have liked to have seen more of the workings into cutting out and welding.
This all makes me want to get out and welding stuff.
Always hard to get this type of footage on my own, right in the firing line is usually the best angle unfortunately!
As a fellow Touring owner, this is very good to see :D
Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
Keep working on the touring. Very rare to see them these days. An E34 518 touring would get more attention than most new BMWs.
i will keep on!
Top work man, another great vid mate
thanks!
Holy sheet 😂 this makes me feel so much better about my own e34 touring
Was bad wasn’t it haha
@@Joshwaa___ not sure I’d put the same amount of effort into a measly 518i
How long did those repairs take?
Best part of a week I'd say.
depends how much is needed!
@@Joshwaa___was asking specifically what you did in this video? Thanks
bmw e34 touring
On today's episode of "Josh fixes rust after swearing no more rusty cars"... This is your curse for the top quality repairs 👌
Pretty much! 🤣🤣
Josh great metal work as always 👍

Nicely done mate!

Great work. More rust what a bugger for you. Have a good week. Marc from Australia 🇦🇺
Tell me about it! Thanks Marc!
Nice work man u always do a nice job im a fully coded welder and i absolutely hate welding cars 😅
Haha thanks man, i also hate it!
Belting mate! Got to do exactly the same on me Renault 5 turbo on both sides! Good bit of inspiration to get my arse in gear lol

Fantastic fabrication work your skills or 2nd to none
Thank you! Cheers!
i like it i think its a smashing motor
it’s good motor with a new engine!
Banger video!
glad you think so mate
Do u not fancy doing a PD 130 conversion to the BMW 518 😁
wouldn’t even know where to start!
You just make it look easy on video....either that or i just make a meal of everything i so! 😂
lots of practice 😂
Shit!!! Wish you were closer to Stockholm Sweden 😊
i’ll visit one day 🤣
Top work 👏
Thank you 🙌

I have seen a couple of his videos before! i’ll have to message him, where did you hear about it?
@Joshwaa___ he mentioned the idea on one of his videos a few weeks ago I think and I immediately thought of you when he said it and reading through the comments a few other viewers mentioned yourself as well
oh sweet, i’ll have to find the video!

‘Scabby’ now that’s a word you just don’t hear your enough these days

Thanks Steve!

unfortunately all these old cars we all like, all are gonna have the same situation now, forever !
Skills 😎
😎
Good work 👏🏻
Thanks ✌️
Lot of wrk mate will be nice when done
Maybe!
The options for that touring are endless and soo cheap, 2.8, 4.4 etc etc. If it’s staying as a 1.8 then I’d say scrap it though..😂
needs an engine transplant to be good
E34s are my favourite shape BMW
agreed!
I agree, there's a purposeful elegance about them. Do love the e21 and 6 series that Josh had too!
@ I’m not a huge fan of E21s…. Don’t really like any car that has a “Chin” but the overall body shape of the 21 is great. 6 series is another level of cool
I live in the midlands and I have a mondao that needs painting
i don’t paint unfortunately
ah ye😎😎
😎
Keep the saving the 90's rot boxes, more Japanese cars please
I’ll do my best haha

@Joshwaa___ 😂 Just get on with it. Will be gorgeous when finished.

a long time ago

I tell them! they don’t understand!
@Joshwaa___ well if that's the case get them to start doing them self then they might understand what it takes to repair rotten cars
Does Lewis want to buy a 318 se convertible E46? Lol
🤣🤣🤣
@@Joshwaa___ I’m serious 😂
A terrible car right up to the point when you swap in a 24v 😎
corrrct!
Yes a 24v is indeed a glorious machine ❤, but a 518i is not as bad as most people think, it's actually quite respectable in real world city driving.
Stop crying and fix my car, thanks x
