- Is the molecule "R" or "S"?
1. Find the chiral carbon atom
2. Number the substituents using Cahn-Ingold-Prelog Priorities
3. Orient the molecule so #4 is behind the chiral carbon
4. When you move from 1 to 2 to 3, and draw a circle, it is R if you are moving Right at the top and S if you're moving left at the top
THANK YOU. This is the only video I could find showing R/S naming with two chiral centers, if any.
Am I the only idiot that started laughing my head off when he pointed the camera?xd
"R comes from latin, but.. who cares?" those little jokes slipped in there makes studying this stuff tolerable. thanks!
2:58 what does "start a carbon one mean"?
Great explanation!
Teach us as you are teaching , It is so hard to me to learn chemistry , but brother you make it easier to me understanding and grasping the concept so thankyou .
Very helpful. Also, I believe you were referring to a newman projection at 8:48
Sawhorse projection 100%
THANK YOU KING
wow it's really easy now
Do we start numbering the atoms base on their mass numbers ❤❤❤
Thank you for good explanation!!
Very nice explanation 👍
Exellent thank you from germany...
and please do naming ether tut
is this part of alevels uk as or a2 or both lol
where did you get the models?
You don't actually need them. Just use some clay (like the one children play with)
Thanks!!!!
❤
thank you from russia
