what is intangible about his issues? as far as i can tell his problems come down to conditioning and willpower. Hes been in the league long enough to have access to the best training program in the world, he needs to be in better shape and conditioning. more than injuries. his issue is he doesnt want to run the floor, just jack up 3s. @@trace4425 The point is that like 80% of the time he falls, he does it intentionally to try to draw a foul. If he just stopped intentionally falling, he'd greatly reduce the wear on his lower body.

Everyone calls Shaq a hater, but I really think he expects greatness from all these bigs.
Shaq expects bigs with talent to have drive and work ethic. Say what you want about Shaq, but when he was on the court, he played as hard as he anybody in the game(can't forget all those times he dived into the courtside seats to get a loose ball).

Shaq is 100% a hater, and was extremely lazy throughout his career. But not to the extent that these mangina-having babies are.
Shaq had the physical gifts and tools to surpass Mike as the goat, but he was too busy being a sensitive narcissist and trying to get rid of the guys on his team who came in and stole his shine (First Penny, then Kobe).
There's a reason why he's barely considered a top 5 CENTER of all time, let alone one of the goat candidates. But, yeah, he's technically not wrong about Embiid. He was the Embiid of the 90s/2000s, more or less, but was still that much better than everyone else to where he dominated.

I really don't get why there were a lot less injuries and playing 82 games is a norm back in the 80s,90s and 00s when the league was much more physical, the nutrition and sports science was less advanced, also the players was much less prosperous.
It really seems the only player who smart enough to take advantage is LeBron.

Players back then didnt try to min max their careers to collect a bag. They wanted to win at all costs.
Curry is another great example of elite conditioning extending your career with longevity and ability to adapt as you age.
Well a lot of this "nutrition" is just processed protein not a well balanced diet. Food also is more processed today. And having more muscle mass makes a muscle injury more severe.

Sitting players to avoid injury leads to more injury--you have to play to keep in shape. All you get is pain, and starting all over again when you sit. I agree that minutes reduction is probably the better idea. The 76ers will go nowhere with this "plan".

Organization wasted #1 draft picks with simmons and fultz, but he has had all the pcs of a championship team multiple years. He’s the future and Nick Nurse is a great coach for him. Embiid and PG have a 2 year window in philly and it’s starting rough. When Shaq talks about Embiid, he gets it right. I wish Joel would listen.

I feel like they're a little too harsh on him. The man has one body and that body falls apart they're not going to be there to pick him up. If the man is injured let him heal and be good for the season when he's properly healthy. You may not like that he said he won't play back-to-back but that doesn't mean he needs to hurt himself just because you didn't like that he said that.
I think a lot of people are spending it to be lazy I don't see a reason why he wouldn't want to run up the court he's very clearly hurt to some degree

Shaq is 100% right. It’s an attitude problem with Embiid. You got dudes around the league dying to get on the court and sixers fans who want to see a winning team and this guy has shown so far he’s shown he’s only concerned about himself.
Embid is softer than Charmin but Shaq does a lot of projecting onto Embid because he remembers how Kobe would call him out showing up to training camp overweight and out of shape. I bet he wishes he would’ve taken winning more seriously; he could’ve easily won another ring in LA if not more.
