- On August 19th Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor had a chat with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe. Trent talked about the process of making Hesitation Marks, the possibility of a new concert dvd, his fascination with Talking Heads, and more. Reznor also treated fans to new song "Everything". This is the complete interview, which also includes the three NIN songs played: Hesitation Marks' first single "Came Back Haunted" (8:27), new track "Everything" (20:31) and classic NIN song "Closer" (32:25).

Trents really created a great new album. Always pushing boundaries, always unique.
Also great new albums this year by HTDA, Tricky, Bonobo, Boards of Canada
Queens of The Stone Age,Boards of Canada, Ghostpoet, Atoms for Peace, Allflaws,
Fuck Buttons
When Lowe asked about collaborations, my thoughts instantly went to my hypothetical awesome dream team: Trent Reznor, Steve Von Till, and Maynard James Keenan. Reasons? 1.) They all pride themselves in creativity, and push boundaries. The end products influence countless artists. 2.) They all play with electronics (moreso Reznor and Von Till than Maynard, but TOOL still has some electronics). 3.) Not only are they talented and creative, but they convey a wide spectrum of powerful emotions.
Thanks for the up! My browser was buggin out on the bbc website.
You're welcome! I figured fans who missed the interview would want to hear want Trent had to say.
Speaking In Tongues is my favorite Talking Heads cd.
I love Stop Making Sense.
7:18 I would use these exact words to describe NIN PHM and every album since.

LOL! Couldn't agree more.
they were playing fragile by tech n9ne at the start of the viideo :)))
You forgot Boards of Canada.
What I said was what we in the business call sarcasm, my friend XD
he's actually from New Zealand.

I want to ------- like an animal
You must be American... That said, I agree.
I can't be the only one who HATES when radio DJs talk over/interrupt the beginning or end to a song.
Of course Closer, what else. Why not at least play the songs on radio that don't have to be censored over a dozen times? ^^"
Why does it sound like the interviewer is doing more talking than Trent? Nobody cares what he thinks!
I also listened to Zane interviewing the Deftones/Tool and to be honest, he was definitely being quite rude in a similar manner with his stale joke persona
no they didn't... o.O
Don't know if I'm going to be able to finish listening to this, the reporter bugs me so much.
I wish the interviewer would stop interrupting him, it's highly annoying...
Oh shit, sorry... now I get it >_< - if I'm totally honest, I actually was left pretty cold by BoC but whatever
wait what????
Trent- outrageously genius mind -
embarrassing Lowe without him realising
You can Tell Trent thinks Zane Lowe is a tool
Zane Lowe keeps blurting out assumptions to fill silences. Do a real interview.
is he a kiwi? cringing... then again, if you listen to a few interviews of TR, it seems like interviewers are either always interrupting, or he's very good at sounding like he's being interrupted.
Zane, youre too happy, cringe.
He's not British.
