How to tell worn brake rotors or pads: measuring discs & pad material

How to identify worn disc brakes, both rotors and pads, using a pair of calipers, and some considerations, particularly in relation to floating caliper types (most cars).

Nice video . Very informative.. good tidbit about the inner brake pad and inner rotor wearing faster. Might have to getting a caliper to measure rotor thickness .. Especially if i can do with the tire on..

Insides tend to wear more than outsides, unless it's a floating disc with a fixed caliper.

Hello from croatia. Mine is at 26.2 thickness, and minimum is 26.4. Is it ok to use one more brake pads on it ?
