Belo Horizonte is a seriously underrated city. Lots of great hiking trails and it's just a short hop away from Brazil's colonial towns and the nightlife is really great. Huge pub culture.
I just loved to watch your video about my second hometown in Brazil! I’m sure there is more than that you have explored which would make your video quite long hahaha! Although I’m so proud to live there more than half of my life, I’ve opted to go to abroad where I’m based now - London. Thank you 😊👏👏👏
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Not only is it one of if not the prettiest city in all of Brazil, but some of the best musicians in Brazil are also from there as well! The people there talk about how there is a certain “magic” there that cant be found anywhere else in Brazil. I found that the people there were so friendly in comparison to other major cities as well. If only more people knew about it!
I'm going to jump in on this one... Brazilian here so totally biased but living in Canada for over 10 years. It really depends on what you're looking to do (check out arts, culture, nature, nightlife, etc) and how many flights you're willing to take. You can definitely spend 30 days in Rio and not get bored, ha. A few towns worth checking out in the Rio area are Ilha Grande, Paraty and Petropolis. If you're looking to venture out of that area, most major centres in Brazil are just a short flight away from Rio (1-2 hours) except for more isolated areas like the Pantanal or the Amazon.
I'm not too familiar with the Brazilian NE but in Bahia, Salvador and Trancoso were definitely a vibe. Trancoso was expensive but very laid back, similar to Ilha Grande. Sao Paulo can be really fun but you can probably check out most touristy spots in a couple of days. If you're heading south, Foz do Iguaçu (waterfalls and resort), Florianopolis (and nearby area) and Gramado (and nearby towns) are great spots. Gramado is similar to Aspen or Banff but it feels a bit more organic, the local culture in that area is similar to what you experience as a tourist, there's just more glitz and glam. There isn't a whole to see in Belo Horizonte proper as it's a planned city but it's artsy, great hiking trails and huge pub culture. Ouro Preto is a UNESCO World Heritage Site nearby that's worth checking out though - you'll get to experience the old colonial culture and history. Brasilia is the only major city I would personally skip, unless you're really into ultra modernist architecture sightseeing. There isn't much to do beyond that.
Oh mate , it’s a very difficult question ! It took me 5 years visiting Rio ! Lol ! That’s right , I decided to stay during a visit . The whole country is absolutely gorgeous . You can find from stunning nature to great museums , and festivals , everything you are looking for . There is no right or wrong way of visiting Brazil . Actually the only wrong way , is not visiting at all . Cheers !
What I know the city population is almost 6 million people not 2.5 million and the food is great city of my dad am from New York am half Brazilian and Italian-American great city…
I feel like Belo Horizonte is a great city for Brazilian travelers, but not so incredibly great for non Brazilians due to the lack of accommodations for foreigners
(Apocalipse, 8).
This video is great, EXCEPT for one reason: CRUZEIRO is the best and most important football club of Minas. Not atletico mineiro. 😉 Could you please cut or delete this part of the video? 😂 Joking apart, nice work! Thank you!

I love that you did a video on the city, it is where my dad was born. I will be in Rio in early March, hope I run into you!

If you had 30 days in Brazil starting in Rio, what city's/places would you fit in the 30days?
Jeeez Curtis, that’s a tough question! Would it be for a first time visit?
If you start with Rio you might just end up staying the whole 30 days, just a warning lol.

Dont miss Goiania bro
As first time solo visitors where shall I start ? I will have 3 weeks in Brazil In November 😋🤦🏽♂️🇧🇷❤️🙏🏽
Hm … it all depends on your preference. But I’d make sure to at least include Rio.
@@SwedishGringo I will stay at least one week in Rio, Thanks for the respond Bro ✌️

BH is wonderful! The people pride themselves as being friendly. They call themselves “miners” due to the state’s name.
❤️🇧🇷
Boy they really twisted your rubber arm with the free tastes (shots)
Haha yes. Didn’t take much convincing 😅
So funny @4:54
I prefer my cachaça as a caipirinha 😅
What is the name of the hotel you stayed in
Hotel Ouro Minas Palace ✔️ Thanks for watching!
Tip for visitors from USA and Europe: there are no “bars” in Brazil! There are restaurants that serve alcohol, but no sitting on stools at a bar.
Well, those bars very much exist as well. But more common is to sit at a normal table, and decor can often be sparse
What I know the city population is almost 6 million people not 2.5 million and the food is great city of my dad am from New York am half Brazilian and Italian-American great city…
Yeah, I counted the wrong way🙈 It’s a huge city with amazing food💚🇧🇷
All those beautiful Brazilians, all those revolving tattoos
Haha yes, tattoos are popular
Pampulha lake is also a nice area if you didn't visit, for next time!
Next time for sure!
Is it safe to move around most of the city?
I would like to say yes! It’s much safer than Rio for instance
I feel like Belo Horizonte is a great city for Brazilian travelers, but not so incredibly great for non Brazilians due to the lack of accommodations for foreigners
Yes, definately some truth to this. The accent is also very hard for a beginner😅
But simply amazing people!
How do you edit videos
Hi Yashwin! I use Premiere Pro on a laptop 💻
