I saw the real Freeway Ricky Ross on New Years Eve, but it was not the right time or place to interview him on his thoughts about the rapper Rick Ross.
I hope to set up an interview soon.
About Kevin Tate: I have not spoken to him in a while. The last time I saw him, I had him over at a school to get an interview with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. We met with Kareem and spoke to him for about ten minutes off camera, but his publicist would not allow us to interview him on camera. Anyway, although I have not spoken to Kev in a while, I wish him much success in whatever he's doing. Same goes to Mr. DMH and Czar who was also there.

The interviewer's name is Kevin Tate. Ed Magik (me) was behind the camera. This video was actually recorded about nine months before 50 Cent launched his video attack on Rick Ross. Also this was before the Smoking Gun released information about Ross being a former corrections officer. Now THAT'S TRUE!

The 50 and Rick Ross beef began before the interview, but it wasn't widely public.
After we recorded it, I shelved it because Ross was talking crazy and it would have been just another "Ross the Boss bully-style" interview.
Months passed by before this interview was published. Beef still there, but still underground. Shortly after its publication, 50 launched his public attack on Ross. I wonder why?
I published it right after the Smoking Gun Report on Ross being a corrections officer.

Technically, I was operating the cameras. I produced the video. DEF JAM allowed us to be there. There were three other artist there that we interviewed.
The fact is that you must not get hostile with a celebrity talent because you can risk the possibility of never coming back for future interviews. Keep in mind that Ross' image is supposed to be a bad guy. So he acted out to make that point clear, and I think he did it without much thought; and he came off sounding wack.

Thanks for your input. Tate could have been more assertive in getting a straight answer from Ross much like Big Boi Power 106 did in a recent interview with Ross. Ross reluctantly confessed to being a corrections officer, but that was long after many other interviews and after the 50 Cent beef became widely public and there was pressure on Ross to come correct.
Now I want to get an interview with the Original Freeway Ricky Ross to ee what he has to say about the rapper Rick Ross.

@findmedog This was recorded before most people knew about the beef between Rapper Rick Ross and 50 Cent. Kevin Tate hosted this interview. I do production, the buck stops here, even though I often allow the hosts to speak freely. I have watched other interviews with Rapper Rick Ross. There are many similarities in how he conducts himself with interviewers, so I don't blame the interviewer for Ross' behavior. I'm a businessman -- Business recognizes business.

I have some experience producing music. I have produced over 3,000 instrumentals, some of which have been recorded with lyrics and are being sold now. I love music too!
I also have experienced a level of consciousness that is telling me to discern what I listen to because it's not for me as it is not about living in harmony with the universe. When Mr. DMH owner of True Magazine was asking Ross questions and Ross answering, I wanted to just shake my head in disbelief. "Whatever Ross is on, we cannot let the rest of the public have. We'd all be loony, c'mon, how are you going to be proud to sport blood diamonds and want to get fatter than you are?"
Afterwards, I decided I was not going to publish the interview, so I shelved it until 8 mos later when The Smoking Gun reported that Ross was a C.O.
