- SOPAPILLA CHEESE CAKE PASTRY
2 cans CRESCENT ROLLS
2 (8oz.) blocks CREAM CHEESE, softened
1/2 cup SUGAR
1 teaspoon VANILLA EXTRACT
1 stick BUTTER, melted
TOPPING: 1 tablespoon CINNAMON
3 tablespoons SUGAR
3/4 cup PECANS, chopped
GLAZE: 1 cup POWDERED SUGAR
2 tablespoons MILK
1 teaspoon VANILLA EXTRACT
Layer 1 roll of the crescents on the bottom of a 9 X 13 INCH Pan.
Mix CREAM CHEESE, SUGAR, and VANILLA to make a filling and spread onto the crescent layer. Add 2nd roll of crescents. Pour melted BUTTER on top. Mix TOPPING and sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 degrees F - 176 degrees C for 30 minutes. Mix GLAZE and pour on top. Enjoy!

Looks great. Love this but have never made it. I love watching your videos, and hearing your stories. I used to cook all the time and always taking dishes everywhere. Right now I am living in a hotel and can’t do much cooking. I lost my home and all in it in a tornado in January. Right now I am getting my cooking pleasure by watching you. Thanks

It’s a blessing. I have been watching him for probably over 30 years. Both him and his wise Kathy Duplantis are a blessing. They have a church in Destraham Louisiana, Covenant Church. Such a blessing.

I employ a dozen or more teen girls (I own an ice cream /sandwich/snack restaurant ) & I always tell them to fake it if they're having a bad day, to slap that smile on their face!

Amy, I suffer from depression also all my life. For the last 3years it’s worsened. I am 60 now and raising my 13 and 11 year old grandchildren. My Granddaughter will always ask me why don’t I smile. I just don’t realize I’m not smiling. I guess it’s my depression. And I also have problems with anxiety. I love watching your videos you make me smile. Thank you for all your videos. I watch them over and over again to see you smile and laugh. Thank you again for all your videos.
I feel for you girl. I cannot imagine the task of raising a 13 and 21 year old grand child. That is enough right there to worsen depression on anyone. I love your canning kitchen I have to laugh I used to have cake pans and bowls when I bake and I never got anything back now I use aluminum foil pans and bough a bunch of plastic containers and that is what I give away for the holidays I have decorated bowls and containers, they can keep them. I enjoyed this video more than any other I do believe. The sopapilla looks great, but sharing your heart 💜 is what touched me. Your love for Jesus, your family, friends and even for us who only know you via the wonders of technology. In your comments, it’s amazing how many of us refer to you as “my friend “. It must warm your tender 💜 heart to discover you are an instrument chosen by God to be a servant who in our chaotic world, is a bright spot in many of His children’s days who would otherwise not see or speak to a soul. This past year we have been so isolated, and there were people who didn’t have a clue how to be all alone and had never learned to cook. God spoke to some precious God-fearing women/men to help with teaching them how to cook never dreaming they were entering a ministry. Many nights I get zero sleep. Can’t tell you the times I turn your Chanel on, Amy, to lift my spirits and I will see you still up uploading videos, etc. I suffer from Anxiety and Depression as well. I rem the last time I laughed. My best friend was Pam. We became friends when we were 9 years old (I am 70 now). Pam had a hard life and was in a nursing home for the past 4-5 years, unable to walk, her immediate family deceased, but she grew up as a neighbor, we went to church together, school together, she spent holidays with us, went on vacation sometimes with us, and my parents couldn’t love her more if she were biologically theirs. So while being my closest friend we were like sisters. Pam called and let us know she had Covid along with many others in the facility. She left the message on my sisters phone. I called Pam the next day and we talked. She never would be transparent with people. She wasn’t wanting to cause me to worry by telling me how she really felt. She just wanted to make sure our family was ok. But I could tell her voice was not the same. She and I would laugh until we lost our breath. Snorting and all... so on the phone that day, I started singing her a silly made up as I went song. It was to the tune of Standing in the need of prayer but I made it funny. We both laughed and laughed. 😂 I told her I’d call her the next day and check on her. She said , “I love you, Torey, (nickname). And I replied, “I love you, too, Pam”. These were our last words. On Jan 15, 2021, any laughter I had left after losing my Mama, left me as well. You help me everyday, my friend, as now I am alone, unwell, except for my God and my babies..Lacey and Presley. 4-leggers!😂 I have a bro & sil, a sister, and my precious young niece who was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. My bro and sis do all they can for me and I have many friends, so when I say I’m alone, I mean physically, I am here in the house mostly in the bed. The days are very long. I will finally hush, with this because I don’t want to sound like I’m whining. It might as well be me as someone else. Scripture says, ‘It rains on the just and the unjust. Prayers for every sufferer of A&D. Our worlds can turn on a dime. Sorry I can’t say anything in 25 words or less. Just a problem I’ve always had....I think I became this way from writing “ I must not talk in class” SO many times. I love 💜 you, Amy, and all your Canning Kitchen Chicks/Roosters. 💜🙏🏻
