Truly a great man who was humble, brilliant, far-sighted and was the true architect of the allied victory in WWII.

One the greatest American statesman in history, and maybe because of his lack of ego not recognized as such.

The USA was fortunate to have men such as Gen. George Marshall in command during WW 2. As Churchill said of Marshall, he was the " Organizer of victory. "

My how far the Nobel Prize standards have fallen . . . It's nothing but a joke now when it honors so many of the tyrrants and socialist politicians of our modern day.

I agree. Don the Con thinks he deserves the Nobel Peace prize. The only thing he deserves is another Big Mac.

I had hoped and prayed such exaggerated venerating of military leaders was seen as the hyperbolic and sycophantic nonsense it evidently is but having digested the above absurd polished bollocks aimed at General Marshall I'm mistaken and jumped the gun.... Helluva syrup there Marshy lad...

He was a four star General, Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army. Generals do not command infantry platoons or companies. You obviously missed the remarks in the video why Marshall wasn't sent to the front lines in WW I. He was too valuable to the Army.
