I found the instructions online. I love how Honda says this is not a job for “do it yourselfers.” And they put it in quotes just like that. You need three sections of trim on each side. Two cuts of the following three lengths... 555mm, 425mm and 230mm. That translates to 55.5cm, 42.5cm and 23.0cm :-) You should end up with 33cm of scrap to discard on each side.

Great Video. Great instructions. Would have been nice if he had reported how long to cut the pieces.

Useful video for the most part. I've added some "tips" below because... Unfortunately, instead of inserting a voiceover that could have helped with instructions..... they just played annoying music. If no speaking.... then why the hell bother with sounds at all?
That said... I'd like to add some useful tips that they should have brought up.
    1. Cutting the roof molding to lengths specified by the instructions is fine advice, IF you have instructions. Which I didn't and which is why I had to watch a video in the first place. So... I had to figure that part out myself. ANSWER: Place roof rack temporarily on roof beside the track and in line with the screw holes. Then... place the track cover next to it with its front end in line with the start of the groove (where it would normally be resting) then, with a marker, mark off the beginning and ending of each of the points of where the roof rack drops into the groove. (the block that the screws pass through) Then cut away those areas.
    2. A disk grinder with a metal cutting blade will also work quite nicely.
    3. When assembling the roof rack on the bench, you will notice that on one end of the cross members where they slip into the plastic caps, the caps holes are round and on the other end they are oval. Screw the round ones in tight but leave the oval ones a bit loose. You will want a little bit of play while mounting. These can be tightened fully later.
    4. When bolting down the rack to the roof, you will notice that the bolt holes in the center mount are round and the ones at each end are oval. This is because the rack lengthens as it's compressed. This can cause grief if not assembled in the right order. First, loosely attach center nuts. Then loosely attach ALL of the rest. Only then do you begin tightening. And fully tighten down the center before moving on to the ends.
    5. lastly, for the people without the instructions like me..... when you go to put the cover caps on, you will notice that they have been marked on the underside as to which side of the vehicle that they go on.
    GOOD LUCK👌😀

Found the OEM instructions in less than 10 seconds. Google's your friend. There's also a link in the video description above.

Do you guys know what this mean in step #11 of the installation manual? "To reduce wind noise, cut the rubber molding from each roof rack and install the pieces of the rubber molding you just cut between the crossbars.

I'm considering installing roof rails on my 2017 Ridgeline but I really don't think using a little hand saw is the proper way to cut the plastic rails from the roof...
