When rock band 3 ended with American pie, we never thought rock band 4 would have ever happened. But on October 6th 2015, we were gifted with rock band 4. We never thought we would get another one. Hell I'm sure we would've been happy with more DLC for 3. But 9 years later, and hundreds, if not thousands of songs later for 4, all I can say is I'm thankful for the final journey we got. Rivals was a blessing. I've met some amazing people, and I've been apart of the greatest crew ever. More like a family to me. And honestly, how much rockband has helped my mental health. I could just escape to rockband and listen and play along to music i loved, and it always put me back in a good place. But it is the end of an Era, and the end for rockband. I don't think 5 will happen, being real. However, I'm very grateful for what we got and how long we got it for. And I hope you all are as well. So as we take this final goodbye together, let's be grateful and not take for granted what rockband has given us. The friends we made, the enjoyment it gave us, and the crews and band mates we played with throughout the years. Thank you for everything rockband. I am forever grateful.

It’s more like the end of the American AAA(and it’s debatable whether rock band 4 is even AAA it is closer to an indie game than a AAA game) rhythm game scene since guitar hero already died years ago I am aware that Japan’s rhythm games still exist and that American devs are still making rhythm games as well but most of those are indie developers not that there’s anything wrong with indie developers(in fact Harmonix themselves were indie for a decade before being acquired by epic games) and harmonix themselves are making fortnite festival but guitar hero and rock band were the two bigwigs and both of them are gone now and while they could still come back some day it’s unlikely they will anytime soon so it truly is the end of mainstream plastic guitar games(though ofc guitar hero and rock bands legacy lives on in clone hero and fortnite festival and also yarg) but it’s still sad

Man, they weren't kidding about these being emotional. When they released "American Pie" as the last DLC song for Rock Band 3, I wasn't really aware of the emotion it held. I knew the significance but didn't feel that emotional from it. But this trio... this definitely did me in a lot more.
While I don't think anyone expected Rock Band 4 and it was an amazing surprise, I genuinely do not envision us getting a Rock Band 5. But we'll see. If Fortnite Festival takes off (which right now... doesn't seem likely, unless they do a lot of changes), I could see that breathing life into the music game genre for the general audience, and maybe capitalizing on that would be a good idea. But I don't see it happening :(
Thank you, Rock Band, for so many years and countless hours of amazingly fun collaborative gameplay with friends, addictive high score chasing, and helping me discover and rediscover innumerable bands thanks to highlighting them in your games. All the Rock Band games have been stellar, but Rock Band 4 is your masterpiece.

Great enders. RB4 was practically a bday gift (oct13) from my brother when he was still working at Madcatz at release. I never realized The Calling and Dido never made it in until now.

Been playing since the original in 2008. I knew this day would come sooner or later, but it doesn’t make it any less depressing. I truly hope there is a Rock Band 5 in the future, but I know that's extremely unlikely. Either way, thank you for 15+ years of great games, Harmonix.

Been here from the get go. From top to bottom and I don't regret a moment. I had a blast streaming this game and bringing people together remembering the music they love. Least you went out on a high note and I only wish the team the best going forward. I'll be playing Festival but it'll never be the same feeling as it was booting up one of these many games, kicking around with some energy drinks, some snacks and some good friends. Thanks Rockband, really. Game or not you did a lot of good for a lot of peoples get togethers, friendships and late nights.

I normally don't comment on videos but I'll make an exception here. Rock Band changed my life, it made me explore music and push me to challenge myself. I started a band with my friends from school more than 12 years ago and now we about to release our second LP. I wouldn't even have thought about it if it wasn't for this game.
Thank you, everyone involved in making this happen

Thanks for everything, Harmonix. You literally changed my life and I will always treasure all the beautiful memories I made with friends and family throughout the years. I still play Rock Band occasionally and I'll keep doing it for as long as I can, and by that I mean as long as my instruments don't die (Fortnite Festival instruments, I'm looking at you). If there's a will, there's a way.
Once again thank you so much for everything, much love to everyone at Harmonix for rocking and keeping the dream alive!

I was so excited when I picked up the 1st rock band game ( band in a box edition). The amount of fun times I had with friends playing that game and the amount of dlc I obtained through the years, now aged 31, me and my wife, so play it on friday nights together. Thanks again, hamonix, for the good times. Hopefully, see you again in 5.

I remember playing it with friends when my wife was pregnant with our first child back in 2008, and now we play it with my two kids over a decade later. Pretty amazing! You guys rock, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. In the meantime, I'm going to dread the day my Rock Band peripherals stop working!

Truly the end of an era (kind of).
I'm now very very happy indeed to have a working Guitar Hero controller again after my other broke years ago and I'm now having so much fun finally playing through all these great games and songs again. I bought Rock Band 4 in the hope of one day doing just that and I'm still to play that and purchase a load of that era's DLC after I found my controller will also work on the PS4!!
As a massive music fan and collector, Rock Band and Guitar Hero have introduced me to so much amazing stuff, so thank you SO so much for everything Harmonix!! Thank you for starting so many bands and rocking so many worlds! 😀

Just wanted to come here and say thank you to Harmonix. What a crazy almost 2 decades it’s been. I remember playing RB1 for the first time and being hooked. Then RB2 took it to a new level. Then RB3 said hold my beer. And we thought it was over. Then rolls in 2015 and we get hit with RB4 and the next gen. Wow I was hyped at the time. I had just moved down to south jersey to get away from the toxicity of north jersey and didn’t have any friends here yet and this dropped at the perfect time. I ran to GameStop to pick it up during the holiday season. Played it for like 5 hours that Christmas. Been playing it ever since. Went out and bought a legit electronic drum set just for the hype. Then went and bought the adapter for ps4 for a high price and have babied it ever since cause nobody else has them anymore. I imported all the RB1, 2 and 3 tracks over with the export key and have bought over 500 songs. When I tell you this game means a lot to me I don’t kid. I will miss new songs coming out and I hope somewhere we get RB5 for the new gen consoles and get to relive the hype all over again. Still waiting for that alter bridge-metalingus that I’m probably never gonna see but one can dream lol. Hopefully it’s not good bye and just a see you later

Harmonix, I would like to thank you for all the Rock Band & Rock Band Network DLC you have given the world over the last 17 years.
I was introduced to Rock Band/Guitar Hero back in Christmas 2009 when I was 12 and it soundtracked my teenage years. I played it mainly for the difficult songs like DragonForce and Chaotrope. and long songs like "Sir Psycho Sexy" (Damn censorship) and "Do You Feel Like We Do (Live)". I still play Rock Band 3 but for custom songs from acts that will now never get DLC like Guns n Roses, Michael Jackson etc.
One hopes that there will be a Rock Band 5 but if it is the last ever DLC for the Rock Band series; Thank You; and as a popular cartoon character would say in the end; "Th-th-that's all, folks!"

Bittersweet. So bittersweet. Only recently was able to get back into Rock Band and decided to get mt group of friends together for my birthday to all play. Hadn't had moments like that in quite a long time. But even many years after release we were all able to make some great memories for a life time. While i sadly still haven't got to play rock band 4, thank you Harmonix for everything. Farewell for now. Perhaps some day in the future we'll see a new era of Rock Band. I've been along for the ride since 2009, starting with The Beatles RB. Even though I haven't played much at all the last few years due to Rivals burnout/health issues, just wanted to stop in here to say thank you for all the memories. Wish you'd have played on PlayStation for your streams more than just a few times, but at least I got to join in once..
