From a KY fan, and SEC lifer, many would be hard pressed to say that they saw something like this coming. South Carolina played a game that was like a magnificent work of art! We had owned the series between UK and USC lately, but Carolina got the hard fought win over us this Year. On THIS NIGHT, Rattler and the Gamecocks as a whole played absolutely OUT OF THEIR MINDS! I would have loved to have heard Coach Beamer's pregame speech, haha...because y'all literally went to WAR! 5 straight possessions, 5 straight touchdowns is a thing of beauty, and DIFFICULTY no matter HOW GOOD you are. The fact that they ran out of fireworks alone just shows what a masterful work of brilliance was wrought from the players to the coaches and everyone in between. 💯 And regardless, it's always good to see Tennessee bite the dust on the gridiron...even more so in THIS convincing of fashion! I hope y'all win out and win whatever Bowl you all get to. Meanwhile UK will be lucky if the freaking "Music Shitty Bowl" wants to accept us. I was visiting family in SC and had the pleasure of going to see the Gamecocks vs. the Texas A&M Aggies. It was my first Gamecocks game ever and it a great deal of fun! I saw an up and coming team in the Gamecocks beat the Aggies convincingly. I tuned in last night as a new fan and was highly impressed with this win! Spencer Rattler is a fine young QB and he is getting more comfortable running the offense. The Gamecocks could beat anybody if they play like they did last night. Go Cocks!

If you gave me that kind of time in the pocket even I could find an open receiver 🤣 It's not that the O lines looked super exceptional either, it was mediocre and overly simplistic defensive schemes. Few blitz packages or stunts. Also, I noticed horrible open field tackling by both defensive backfields. That said, if SEC refs are calling the back of the helmet hitting the bottom of the facemask of a receiver when you obviously led with a shoulder (AND the runner lowered his head too) "targeting", it's no wonder that the DB's in the SEC don't hit and wrap up receivers! We've made EVERY qb look good this year (except Levis). Rattler will not see a defense as terrible as TN again. So the Rattler you had all season is the real Rattler.
they would have if they had this type of playing calling on offense all season .. they were calling unique plays & were unpredictable .. also they actually let rattler take shots down field trusting the receivers in 1v1 situations.. every other game this year it was the same basic game plan with that pro style offense with slants & screens every other play no imagination it was predictable they weren’t taking any risks down field playing too scared or safe & whatever they had going on had Spencer looking lost & not on the same page as his recievers half the time which was killing his confidence .. this game they trusted his arm & accuracy as well as continuously switching up the plays/style on offense keeping Tennessee on the edge & on their heels .. this offensive game plan was way different than any other game this year ..
I remember in the Kentucky game, an announcer said something about our coaching staff needing to “let Rattler off his chain.” I think last night they finally did. I don’t know if it was Satterfield’s decision, but if it was, I wish he would have made it 10 weeks ago.

they would have if they had this type of playing calling on offense all season .. they were calling unique plays & were unpredictable .. also they actually let rattler take shots down field trusting the receivers in 1v1 situations.. every other game this year it was the same basic game plan with that pro style offense with slants & screens every other play no imagination it was predictable they weren’t taking any risks down field playing too scared or safe & whatever they had going on had Spencer looking lost & not on the same page as his recievers half the time which was killing his confidence .. this game they trusted his arm & accuracy as well as continuously switching up the plays/style on offense keeping Tennessee on the edge & on their heels .. this offensive game plan was way different than any other game this year ..
I remember in the Kentucky game, an announcer said something about our coaching staff needing to “let Rattler off his chain.” I think last night they finally did. I don’t know if it was Satterfield’s decision, but if it was, I wish he would have made it 10 weeks ago.
