I love how Steve winds up to an almost EDM-like drop. He definitely is playing within the bounds of a Polyphia sound but brings that raw emotional whammy work that makes him special.
They used to be a band that had to pay to play at shows. Now they're on the verge of superstardom. They've hugely inspired me to start practicing guitar again and it's made me rediscover the joy in playing. If you're are in any way musically inclined, you cannot deny how amazingly talented this band is.
Scotty’s solo in this is easily my favorite. His shred tone is so crisp and tasteful. His phrasing is also out of this world. I absolutely hope Scott gets more times to shine on the rest album like he did on this. Easily my favorite Polyphia track as of now
I got emotional watching the video for the first time too, my guitar heroes in the 80's Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson and been to many of their concerts back in the day. Yes I believe it's passing he torch to the young guns , it was beautiful and magical , the way music and visuals are meant to be done right. I have been playing guitar since 1988 and they shaped my guitar playing style from the legends and loving the guitarists from Polyphia now!
Probably my favourite reaction to Polyphia's new legendary track, not even joking. There's something genuine, unique and positive about your vibe man, I can tell you have a very good soul. You GET it, and you feel what people should feel when they hear something like this. Emotional, raw, and talented. Thanks dude.
Scottys' shred was definitely a highlight of this song. So was Tim's hyperspeed harmonics. And Steve nailed it with a beautifully restrained solo. Also, I love Clay has his drum kit tuned up. Reminds me of Bill Bruford in the early 80s version of King Crimson.
This song is so special and the moment is special. It's a recognition of the future of guitar and rock music. I'm so proud of the band. Especially Scottie. Phenomenal work, I'm happy to be alive during this time. They're definitely going mainstream. They deserve it. They proved it with dropping a legit pop song with vocals. Just a few years ago people were having conversations. Is rock dead? Is the guitar dead? Have we heard everything we are going to hear from the guitar? This answered it. I couldn't be happier. Couldn't have happened to better musicians and humans. Great review kin folk.
After watching and loving Polyphia for sooo many years now go through so much hate (for some crazy reason) and coming out so unique and powerful, seeing them back to back with Steve makes me ultra emotional.
Hey sir! So I watch reaction videos almost every day for 3 years or more, and I admit I like black reviewers because I legitimately believe they haven't heard the song in question (that maybe I grew up with). So I'm embarrassed to say that when I got to this one I said, "dude knows his sh*t". Impressed, subbed.
You're right man. It's weird to say, but Tim (and Scott and Clay^2) have already achieved the status of legends. It's just true. This music will be listened to for 100's of years. I believe that.
Not even 30 and I consider Tim Henson to be top tier of all guitar players. Not quite legend status but getting there rather quickly. Awesome reaction dude.
Yeah, I wasn't impressed with Scottie's shredding (because I already knew he was impressive), but his thumping definitely stood out as being almost or at Tim-quality. Really happy that new fans get to see how great he really is.
After "PLAYING GOD" I honestly wondered why they would release their best material right 'off the hop' ... boy was I wrong. Ever song they dropped has been a Banger in it own way. This song might be my favorite ... I thing there is another couple songs that destroys this one even ... I don't know how it's possible but I feel it in the air.
You gotta work out using the signal from the track and the signal from your microphone instead of your room microphone and the speakers you're listening to - because the difference in volumes are too great. I can't keep turning it down to listen to the music and turning it up to hear your voice all low in volume.
Why you always pause this VIDEOS? Come on man, watching full ending, you really enjoy VIDEOS don't pause because long time long talking and you view boring listen you long talking

I mean Scott also had a big feature and solo in Neurotica, they've definitely been giving him the spotlight a fair amount this go around.
Seeing Scotty get some shine in these have been great. Even in ABC.
Nice to see someone react that takes time to talk about the context around the song. Keep up the good work, homie.

Im really hype for this album. And Im always glad to hear and see Scott shredding. His riffs are always so tasty.

I got a freeze-frame screen-grab from the end with the camera pulling away and made it my desktop background. That's music history in the making.
Chino Moreno from the Deftones is also going to be on a track on the album. This.... I cant wait for. Polyphia + Deftones Vocals?
A very true and honest reaction. Thank you.

you seem very kind, great reaction too! got a sub from me.
Wooohoooo, yes I feel the same way everytime I see that video... not really listening but this is epic video of an epic song.

If I don’t give my honest opinion and how I feel at that moment about the song/video, what’s the point of watching?
Fix that plastic bag on your desk, dude!
