@@jamiro5307 yeah last season I finally got around to doing my solo flawless run after not touching the dungeon for over a year and I actually laughed after burning Dul Incaru with little to no effort. At this point all of the traversal in between bosses is more menacing and deadly than the bosses themselves lol.

@@SquiddyNP i feel like it would be good to make them even harder but have more difficulities available to them as we have for nightfalls where you have 4 and then GM as 5th. i think it would be good if they did the same for dungeon at make the rewards = to difficulity
Divnity itself does decent amount of damage, no wonder it kills bosses if used with other divintys. Divinty buffs damage -> other divintys do more damage.

You have to admit the state of divinity kind of makes it so bungie can't really buff whisper of the worm or it would just be insane. It makes linears a very easy dps strat without the normal downside of forcing you to hit crits. When I raid with my clan I ask who wants to div and everyone groans lol. Idk I wouldn't mind it being nerfed. The weapon is just so boring to me.

@@SB20333 I won't hit crits. I'll adapt to the boss and use a rocket, grenade launcher or sword. Divinity means EVERY single raid boss is a big crit with a big health bar so there is no risk for weapons that should demand skill to use.

I don't know why people would want to nerf Divinity. It's a Support-Archetype kind of Trace Rifle. This is kinda ridiculous if you ask me.
It's not overpowered, and other than adding support to teammates to damage endgame bosses as well as stunning Overload champions, I don't see it used anywhere else.

It's a support weapon that does a lot of things too well. It makes crits easy, it adds a 30% debuff, it lasts much longer than tether and all other debuffs while being able to not have a cool down or be stuck in one location but can move around. Like it's just such an easy pick to replace like 4 other things that used to be needed for optimal dps. Now just equip div and boom.

This is going to be Escalation Protocol all over again for those that were present back then. Remember, Bungie took some of the top streamers to test it and took their advice to make it harder. Then week 1 and 2 was atrocious and could barely be completed with shitty RNG.
All I'm saying is be careful what you ask for. The Raid bosses as of right now were designed with Divinity in mind. If you are going to nerf it, don't nerf it to oblivion to where it's not worth playing with.

I think it started now rather than last year due to the artifact mods with debuffs being a thing. With sundering glare not working with Div, it just makes it more prevalent.

Elite player (Salta), with 3 worlds first? raid clears complains that the game is too easy.
So, my understanding of the whole divinity issue is this dumpster fire stems from “Worlds first crunching” and I have a simple question, in that, why does it matter if you’re not competing for worlds first? If the option for the best is divinity, since efficiency matters most in a race like Worlds first is what’s most important- why does it matter that Divinity is the best at being what it is? A support weapon? It’s not even that “strong” by itself, it’s just the most consistent. But why would it need a nerf in PVE? Isn’t the whole point of our characters to be the strongest at the moment? To overcome whatever the universe throws at Earth? I don’t really understand all the incessant whining about- “div too strong” or “buff other debuff’s” like, then what’s the point of divinity if there’s another option that does the same thing? And multiple can run it with optimal sustained or burst DPS setups? It literally makes no sense in and of itself.

I'm sure Gladd is enjoying it but the demand for it to be nerfed by the .001% of elitist in the game is beyond real. We can't every have fun stuff because of that small group who has other elitist on speed dial to run every raid and dungeon clearing each one in about an hour. I remember when D2 was being made Bungie listened to what the top streamers and youtubers said to make the game “good”. Then when D2 came out it flopped because the game was incredibly boring. Everything then got changed to be more like D1 and the game came back to life. Bungie should be more careful with who they listen to. Just because some people have loud voices doesn’t mean they are right

No one complains about not being powerful enough, we're power-crept insanely high. Nerf divs debuff to 15% to balance it with other debuffs, it's that simple. It'll still be usable, just not broken.
@@milzhere No. I think they should rework the bubble. Maybe make it so the bubble will not only form, but become bigger when continually shooting. That way you will have to use up more ammo to reach the typical bubble size

@@milzhere I honestly think salts reworks sounds the best. 2 alt fire modes. 1 give 30% debuff(but you can't do the tapping stuff) and the other gives a huge crit spot(you can tap fire) and removes every applied debuff
@@milzhere what other debuffs? teather, tractor cannon does 30% debuff also. void grenades only do 20%. there aren't many artifact mods that do debuffs. People cry nerf then just going be another exotic shelved in vault. look at half the weapons no one uses because nerfed so hard.
If want complains game is too easy with div then don't use it. not many players have div, only maybe 10% whole player base has it.
I've done plenty of LFG groups and never ran div and did just fine.
Div isn't a problem it's top streamers/ PvE sweats complain about it, but also using all top weapons/ builds/ mods combined for it.

most of us don’t care at all just a small amount of people who are outspoken and getting attention so
because theres been a recent trend of lfrs receiving ammo regeneration perks which in turn makes div problematic as it allows for easy and constant proccing of such perks making lfrs the best sustained dps option in a lot of raid encounters.
I honestly don't know why people complain over stuff like this, you want a challenge? Then don't use it 😂, want higher level activities? Put on low light level gear. Is it not good to have options? Play how you want to play my ass.

Annoying?! It is a challenge that requires you to practise with raid mechanics to complete it in one game session. It is a weapon that you earn only if you git gud. Rng is annoying, farming is annoying. Div is just what every raid exotic should be: a challenge based on you beeing good in the raid

There are so many 560k damage supers , monster grenades , linear fusions exist , the parasite exists . Its not needed anymore and you can one phase shit without it. The divinity does not even take skill to get it ,it takes time and most people dont have time.
@@XxkrazymagexX Making a raid and a pizzle in one game session requires ability(I play with my friends and for us it has been really hard and satisfying). Farming requires lot more time so for a time problem I prefer to get good stuff trough quests or challenges instead of doing 100 vault of glass without dropping anything. To make you understand my point I really miss stuff like zero hour. When you bleed for an exotic it seems really an exotic

Not everyone has a team that can play and stay all time to do the raid and do everything in 30 minutes.
Bungie could make so you needed to do the puzzles but still could leave the raid to finish later.( like d1 touch of malice quest)
The accessibility problem the gun isn't about people need "get good" but more that they can't play all the time.
That would at least make some people stop wanting to nerf divinity since they could also get it.
Everything is so over powered right now it doesnt even matter honestly. You can make just about anything busted with the right setup. I do agree working for an exotic makes it all the more sweet. But again not everyone has a 6 man group who can all get on at the same time of day. Doing the puzzles adds a hefty amount of time. I work weekend nights , am in school all week , and have a newborn. So you can imagine some things are off limits for me unless its a special I occasion where i can alocate enough time to do a raid with people i know will get it done.

Div is probably the rarest weapon in the game, only obtainable from a raid puzzle that is difficult to complete, and is only usable in high end PvE content. It’s a weapon that was made specifically for support. I use LFG for my raids, I don’t have a concrete hardcore raid team that I run with every week. I enjoy the support play style and Div allows me to do just that. I know there are other debuffs and ways to support but Div is probably the best for most situations. Plus using Div for straight DPS is a funny challenge I should try sometime
Nerfing Divinity would still allow you to have that support. Nobody ever said "nerf it into the ground", people said it's too strong as is. There's literally no trade-off in using it. The ideal nerf is that the gun no longer applies the 30% debuff, allowing Hunter Tethers and the rest of the Void subclasses to apply the debuff, considering the entire point of those subclasses is to weaken enemies.

I think the problem also is bungie don't know how to nerf something without destroying it, whisper of the worm is trash now even if the old perk is back, because bungie nerfed the dmg because of the ammo perk so when they removed the ammo perk they didn't reverse the dmg so it's trash. same with trench barrel they nerfed it 2 times because of auto-reload but when auto reload was removed the nerf stayed. bungie suck at this .we had the same conversation in opulence when tractor was the meta support and debuffed enemy to void (50%) so void iron banner GLs became the meta so bungie nerfed it to the ground i think 20% debuff to all elements and no debuff stack so no one used it for years only in later TWAB "tractor needs some love" 35% debuff. in the end i think people would be more open to the idea if bungie did nerfs right in the past. me personally i don't care even if they remove divinity because people will replace it with something and people will start to complain about the new thing it's always like this.
