How do the 2 Elgato cameras compare on closeup. Often I hold things up close to the camera, (currently using a logitech C922 webcam) and it has a heck of a time focusing. I'm curious how Elgato does in that situation. Your comparison vid is fantastic and I must thank you for all the work you put into making this for us!
Im a bit uneasy about buying another Face cam. They still ship the new ones with the flawed USB cables. Because I bought one last fall, and all the trouble shooting tutorials were from several years ago. So I assumed they didn't change anything.
Hey what do you mean by flawed? I had issues with my first FaceCam where the cable would get bumped and disconnect. Haven't had any issues with the newest Mk2 since I released this vid.
I actually think the MK2 looks better than the Nikon. Just got my MK2 today and so far I am blown away by how good it looks. Also I kind of like the oversaturation of colors of the original Facecam🏎
Good review man, but I can't ignore the bad quality of the video encoding itself... First, when reviewing a 60 FPS camera, I think it is obvious the video has to be in 60 FPS... But beside, the rendering quality of the video itself seems pretty low... I'd recommend you to check your exporting settings. Good luck :)
Are you saying the Mo first Elgato cam looks bad? I would agree but it is much cheaper and older than those two, the mk2 actually stands it’s ground against those with some slight tweaks

It def gives the mirrorless a run for its money and glad yours came in!
What I found is with a LUT via obs you can get a very crisp and saturated look

Glad you enjoyed it! For $150 it’s easily a good main or secondary camera.
