I agree with you that it seems really worth it to buy the physical version of the games vs. having to print and prep all of it.

It’s awesome that the changes are awesome. We didn’t do a curriculum with our older kids but the kid we are adopting we will do. We’ve known for a while. She’ll be 4. My daughter will love the bunny trails lol. Songs are awesome for teaching and we did that with my older kids!!! We only did songs and it worked so well even tho we’ve done phonics for my older kids the songs worked so well. I’ve been told my daughter lives in her imagination.

Hey I’m new to this channel and will be starting soon homeschooling my kid while i try to get my diploma .
I’m invested in your channel the fact you’re always on a budget and don’t want to spend more made me subscribe to you because so many benefits I could learn from you and share it with my kid.
    Much love ❤️

My daughter used the old version, and she did SO well! I was actually super nervous to get the new one for my son haha. But so far were loving it! I like it a lot more too, it feels more relaxed. I will say I am sad they didn't have the letter flip books. I swear that's what helped my daughter the most when she did the older one. I thankfully am a pack rat and saved them for my son!

We had the old course. My daughter struggled with the letter sounds..we did the all about reading prereading and came back to TGATB and she did great. Some of it may have just been her readiness or age. It seems like the added practice and songs will be super helpful. I definitely will be looking into it again for my son for next year!

We have the old preschool curriculum. Finished that a couple months ago and now are almost done with the Level K Primer. My daughter grasped everything well, but this almost makes me want to get the new preschool curriculum and do it again. 😂🙈

I did it! I couldn't resist, haha. It is a bit redundant, but I try to focus on the sounds and the blending of letters so I can help her reinforce what she already knows (or what she still needs to work on things such as understanding the difference between letters b & d, q & p among other similarities). Personally, it has helped my daughter to got back a bit since we were having a bit of a hard time with primer K because maybe she needed more than 54 lessons from the old pre-k, so I have not regretted my decision. I even got the practice sheets and it gave my 5 year old a boost of confidence when she got done with those! Totally worth it in my opinion.

Thanks for doing this video! I had the old version and my 4 year old did ok at first but then got so frustrated. She wasn’t ready for it, but it also felt like it moved too fast. I asked about the new version in a TGTB group and many said just do the old, but I didn’t feel we loved it. I think this has convinced me the new is better. And to buy the games for sure!

Wow, this was very helpful. I am going to home school my daughter once she turns 3 in January. Thank You! Loved your review on the curriculum.

This looks so much better! We did the old version with my oldest and it just wasn't great. I'm going to have to pick this up for my youngest when he turns 4. ❤

Would you recommend doing this or letters and numbers from gather round? Or would you do one or the other first, doing them both? Trying to decide what to do with my preschooler for next year who is desperate to do school like big brother.

Do you use AAR after doing this new prek from TGTB?

This is so helpful! We're in the middle of the old version right now - do you know if the new music videos and songs are accessible online to anyone?

I think some of them are but the others are behind a password.

Would like to know if this will be ok to use with a newly 3 yr old that wants to do school work with her older siblings ? I kind of don’t want to do “book work” with her being so little but she’s always asking for her book work when it’s time for my older children to do their book work.
Also, I saw your other videos about Letters and numbers from gather round, how does it compare to it? I’m debating between the two. Thank you for all the amazing reviews but also your other videos about other important things besides curriculum. God bless you and your family

I have a video coming out tomorrow that compares that two. :) I think they're fine to use if you're not too bothered about them retaining anything. They may pick up on letters but they may also just not be quite old enough yet.

How long does each lesson take you? I'm trying to figure out how to do this with my littlest while also teaching my older two 1st grade. Oh, and I love your accent.

What age kiddos are you using the Preschool curriculum for? My daughter is 4 and already knows the letters (she learns along side big brother 8), is it more than letter recognition?

My son knew a lot of the sounds, but was weak in Phonological Awareness. I bought this for him and it has helped many times over. I love how it hits those skills so we'll, in additional to prompts for conversation and to notice details in beautiful, engaging pictures.

I enjoy watching your videos so much. I have two boys. One is in first and the other is 4 so your reviews and videos are perfect for the stages we’re at.
I’m going through the old version of pre-k with my 4 year old now. I think it’s working and we enjoy it. I don’t really have anything negative to say about it. But now having watched your review I’m so enticed to switch to the new version. Do you think it would be worth it to switch mid way through? Or do you feel like it would be a little confusing and not worth the hassle or cost to switch?

Oooh, that's difficult to say. If your child is doing well with the current one I would probably just continue with it.
