The multiracial, intergenerational movement says about 400 people were arrested, including rabbis, famous actors and elected officials from the New York State Assembly and Senate and the City Council.

Growing up as a Palestinian American Christian, there was a constant hopelessness my refugee parents passed onto me. We were constantly faced with racism that we just learned to live with. When I saw this, it made me cry so hard. I never thought I would see the day when this many people would recognize us as human beings and defend us. I wish my father had lived to see all this love. That was beautifully said, except for one thing. Hamas has never honored any cease fire before. Why would they now? To call for a cease fire now is to say it's okay to launch an attack on partying civilians and commit whatever atrocity you can think of. The loss of innocent lives is heartbreaking. melissadeloach8503, it's about literally watching videos of families, children, and the elderly civilians being bombed and killed in Gaza. This is against international law. So is cutting off the electricity, water, food, and humanitarian aid to Gaza because they have been forced to be dependent.

I am a New Yorker, Hunter College student, and a Muslim. I am always proud to part of a nation where most of the people with hearts of gold. Most of the Americans are people for love, care, and justice. This is a symbol of that.

The state of Israel is not committing genocide, if that was what they wanted you would not see any more civilians alive in Gaza. The only way anyone has survived genocide is by running to another country that would protect them just like what happened in Rwanda. When HAMAS built the military bases under Gaza they committed a war crime and made the whole place a legitimate target under international law. And by supporting it and allowing them to get away with it you are encouraging the use of human shields. When all this is over and done I hope we are all held accountable for how close we have come to a world war, and if it goes that far don't think that no one will use nukes. The people you are supporting certainly would use them if they could get their hands on nukes if it meant annihilation of the Jews. The Arabs we now call Palestinians have been trying to kill Jews even before the creation of Israel.
It's all terrible, but necessary. War is very ugly.

I was also moved by three Hasidic Jews (judging by their clothing and hairstyles) who were displaying placards in London with the message " Judaism is Godly and Non-violent, Zionism is non-godly and violent, Free Palestine". My respect to you all. Shame on USA and Israel for not voting for a ceasefire in the UN resolution, which shows how oblivious to human suffering, their leaders are.
Absolutely!! I marched in London alongside many Jewish, and we were so proud and touched to see the hasidic Jews standing alongside us, they talked with marchers, seeing a hijabi talking with a hasidic Jewish man on humanity and bringing peace was a beautiful moment, above all we are humans and that common thread links us all. Any other differences are surface level, so inspired by these to keep marching keep demanding humanity and hopefully put an end to this madness once and for all!
