I don't think I'm the only one who thinks like this: Man you've got some serious talent, from riding, to video editing, to narrating, just top flight stuff! There are some very good "bike" channels out there, but yours has rapidly become my one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite. Your love for riding & great demeanor/attitude are inspiring to say the least. The drone footage is amazing, like how you show yourself on the ground controlling it as well. I've only discovered riding in the last year (shame on me) and all I want to do is ride. When I'm not riding, I'm thinking about my next ride, or flashing back to a previous one. I was a big snowmobile guy until we stopped having winter. I absolutely loved sleds! For me personally, dual sport riding is better. I'm so glad you like the channel and I am excited for some of the future videos I have coming! When I am editing, I try to include all the details what riding really entails. I think its more interesting to include all the struggles too. Someday I want to get into sleds! They're just a massive investment. Maybe as the channel grows, I'll be able to afford getting into snowmobiling and maybe make some videos of it. I'm stoked you eventually discovered riding!! Stick with it. Great video awesome scenery! Some guys rode huskies in the seventies also a bike that's not heard of now called bulltaco I'm not sure of the spelling. Everything then was two strokes and really jumpy. I had a 250 Honda Elsinore. It was a good bike. Good job!
I used to build those old bikes! I used to have a 1974 YZ125 that I actually broke my back on while I was riding it lol. It threw me over the bars and I landed head first. I spoke with some people who actually rode that trail on old Triumphs!! Its really remarkable..

Any tips on Silver Plunge Creek as a riding area? We’re investigating it as a potential stop after McCall in late June. This reminds me of a trail system in WA State that I ride a lot. It generally doesn't open up until Mid July. Summer of 2023 it opened up much earlier, but I didn't ride it until October due to my busted wrist.
That early season riding is super tough. As I have been working to edit all my content this winter, I've been prepping my bike for the next season and I am seriously thinking about a chainsaw mount for this year.. You think its worth it?
@@madjack_757 Absolutely. Like I just said, trees fall down every month of the year. I am going to make amount for my little Royobi 18 volt saw. It does very well for its self. One extra battery and it would saw a lot of trees, and it is very light.
If you are riding slow, I have no idea what it would be like riding fast. It looked to me that a lot of that trail could use some maintenance. I think that that trail is above my pay grade. I would love to try it, but some of those side hills scare me. I am 76 years young, and I ride a TW200. I use to ride an XT600, but I quit riding for about 20 years, focusing on quads. I really like my TW, but I think that my problem is that I ride too slow. Last year, I found that I did not wobble around as much if I went a little faster. It still scares me. I will practice as much as I can this year. I really enjoyed your video. I use to ride in enduros in Washington and Cali. I never did very well as far as ranking went, but I always finished. I was riding with a group of 3 friends that were all MUCH better than me. I found a trail next to Mt St Helens that was awesome. At the time I was riding an XT500. The map showed five 180 degree switchbacks, but in fact there were 33 of them. They were so tight that I would need to blip the throttle while leaning back, lift the front wheel and swing it back on the next part of the trail. Going down, I would have to shut the bike off, and drag the front end around. I had it a lot easier that those other guys with their motocross machines. LOL I need to find some riding buddies, because I normally ride alone, and some times a person just needs a little help. I use to love riding single tracks, but I was a lot younger then. I carry a chainsaw on my quad, so I think that I am going to make a rack to hold my little middle size Royobi battery operated chain saw. I does very well for its self. The drone work is all done with a mix of my own piloting and some follow features that are built into the drone! Thats such a gnarly trail! I would have loved to ride that area. You're smart to have that chainsaw mount. I am looking into setting myself up with one for some of the areas that I ride in that have a lot of downed trees. I hope that if I have the chainsaw setup by June, then I can take part in the backcountry trail clearing work. You should look into some facebook groups for local riders! @@madjack_757 Yes it is. When we were unloading one of the guys asked me how he should gear. He had an assortment of countershaft sprockets. I told him to put the lowest gearing that he had. He looked at over the top of his glasses, (you know the look) And I said, trust me, you will never get out of second gear today. Those 3 were off like a shot. At every trail junction they would all be waiting. I would point which way, and they were off again. One of them hydro locked his engine crossing a fairly deep stream. It took us 30 minutes to get him going again. Then they were all off like a shot again. about 1 more mile and then we came to the switchbacks. I caught up with them there. LOL My thumper was made for this sort of thing. Their hi-power motocross machines, not so much. When we made it back to the trucks, all 3 of them said that this was the best ride that they had been on in years.

Dam videos with Idaho in them, JK/HA Many times, we have been thanked by Mountain Bikers. Not too many Hikers. I don't think you are supposed to ride the last little section to the lake, we now walk it. The last time we were there some Idiots had torn up the little beach and that's what gets shit closed. Not sure why the trail to the plane in non-motorized because it was also fun. Especially to jump in the creek in the summer for a break.
I apologize if my videos draw too much attention to an area. I understand that can be frustrating and all my future videos do not give any trail names or coordinates. You may be right about that last section! I’ll keep out of that part in the future! I understand the importance of keeping the land open and in this past issue with the owyhees I wrote 3 letters to our reps and commented on the BLM travel management plan. I’ll do my best to be a better steward of the land going forward! Next time I head out there I’m gonna make sure to bring a saw with me because I’m sure there is going to be plenty of tree fall this year!

I call the helicopter! I have equipment with me that can contact a rescue helicopter.
