I actually disagree with a lot of this. A bridesmaid's only responsibilities is to show up on the wedding day in the right dress, on time. Right from the beginning of my wedding planning I expressed to my girls that those were my only expectations. Bridal showers and bachelorette parties are fun but not a requirement by any means. I don't want my closest friends to feel pressured to spend a ton of money on me. Everyone has a different budget of what they can afford and every bride should ask each bridesmaid individually what their budget is, so if I am fortunate enough to have these parties thrown for me, I don't expect them to just bend to my every whim. They can choose to do whatever they decide they can afford and I will appreciate the effort regardless. Your bridesmaids aren't there to serve you, they are there to support you and your spouse on your wedding day. A lot of people get it backwards where they think that the role of a bridesmaid is to honor the bride, when really being a bridesmaid or maid of honor is a role given to someone to honor THEM. Example: "I appreciate you and your friendship, I want to honor you on my special day by having you stand next to me." Also as a bride, you get one day. A bride doesn't get to claim a whole year to be all about them just because they are getting married. Those are just my opinions, I plan on making a video myself about this actually lol.
Megggle I agree. This is how I've been planning my wedding and the only things I've asked from my bridesmaids is to help set up the day before (we are having a small wedding of 14 people), wear their dress (which they got to pick), and stand next to me on the big day. I feel bad that my maid of honor spent $50 on her dress even though it was the one that she chose, and I've been getting her loads of small gifts to give her the day before the wedding.
Of course no one wants abused help during a brides time to get married bridezillas are the worst but supporting and helping the bride is crucial. She made u her closet friends and circle for a REASON the title of brides maid only Showcases the relationship.
Being a Brides maid will be a first for me, I have been a best man, a groom, an officiant, Now a Brides maid. Soon I will be the Bride in my own wedding!!
I'm glad I watched this. I am the Maid of Honor for my sister's wedding and I am getting married shortly after her. This showed me everything I don't wanna expect from my bridesmaids but also a good way to be prepared for whatever my sister might want. Thank goodness she is not the demanding bride depicted in this video. 😬
Video starts at 3:00 minutes. Thank you!

Great expectation tips!!
I’m a jr bridesmaid in my cousins wedding next year
I'm here to serve God only. Haha. This video was funny though
I disagree. Your wedding your responsibility. Bridesmaids are only here to support you and of course pay the cost for their dress, makeup etc…….
