Scarlxrd thinks his main selling point is his screaming, that's all. The thing is he can rap in a normal voice extremely well, as shown on imnxtamess. If he made more music like that more people would listen to it, listening to repetitive screaming shit all the time gives you a headache, yeah ok it will get you hyped for a certain period of time but then it just turns to ass.

With all this, u can tell that its not all the time the same thing. Maybe for u it sounds very similair because of the scream but for us, the real listeners, we know that is completely different and we see that he's trying more and more differents stuffs and he's just doing what he wants but in a better way so yes just keep going with the trash talk, he will always be the same and confident in his music thats why a lot of people respect him and keep listening to him.
Dont get me wrong, Scars music is awesome but "most talented" for sure not. There are tons of rappers like for example "Ill Concious" - even though its "traditionally Boom Bap" - who are even more underrated but lyrically and technically so much more advanced. Its like it always was: You find the real treasures mostly underground.

The only way he can grow past this point and get to doing up stadiums like he said he would is if he does something completely different and unexpected from him. If he made a pop album with features from Olivia Rodrigo or BMTH it would probably widen his fan base a lot. This is because those groups of people already like heavy music. That's a group that likely to blow him up because this crowd does things like making viral tiktoks.

I've been watching him since he made RUclips videos, seeing him transform from Mazzi Maz to Scarlxrd has been exceptionally motivating. When he first announced his plans to switch from filming videos to doing music I was a bit skeptical at first but even his earlier tracks while not as refined as his recent ones (which is expected) hosted wild potential. Here's the thing about Scarlxrd for me. I used to be a huge fan and still am, I can recall quite a few songs by him and even went to see him live in 2019. He's got huge potential and I love his music, but releases like 2-4 albums each yeah, each album containing 20+ songs and it's inevitable that most, if not all, of them will sound exactly the same. It's a shame because on each album, there's 1-2 songs that are unique and sound great. If he took the time to gather these songs and put it into an album, he would stand out more. But for now, all his music sounds the same to me due to how often he releases new stuff.
To be fair tho he's got some songs where he doesn't scream or he doesn't scream then screams and when he's not doing that he still sounds good and another thing scar said was he basically makes music whenever he has something on his mind, wants to release or has an idea and he said whenever you meet him he's chill because he has noticing on his mind because he's already said it but he also just loves making music you can tell and he's made so many albums and songs in so little time and he's even said he doesn't understand how artists can make like 1 album and stop for awhile. Last thing he's also said after a tour that he makes music cuz he wants to he doesn't care about the views and whatever and that his label told him to do something so more people can listen to it and he basically said "no tf" and he just wants to do what he want to do and he doesn't care
In 2023 I am stills listening to him I am 33. Scarlxrd is different his music even the way he dresses is unique and different. when his not making the music he seems like such a humble person and funny as well to be around. Love it. I love to learn more about his background. He is so incredible, intelligent amazing talented young man.

Personally im from the uk and love his music, before my friend introduced me to him i was listening to a lot of drill and some american rap as well, he's an acquired taste and it doesnt matter what genre youre coming from when u start listening, everyone has the same chance of liking him or not liking him. He seems to have tapped into practically ever genre that involves any sort of energy in its sound (for example he recently started experimenting with phonk). When it comes to the uk rap scene, personally i came to his music from that, but the style of his music and especially his aesthetic are just unsuitable for the roadman culture that has kinda developed in the uk, so it makes sense that he doesnt have many fans in the uk, ig i am a rare case as it didnt take long from me to transition from drill to scarlxrd (thank u martin if ur reading this for introducing me to the unspoken legend that is scarlxrd).
im hella late but i used to be a huge scarlxrd fan from 2017-20 . i listened to some of dxxm 2 in 2021 but tbh his music isn’t even hitting the same , although the “trap metal” was a phase for me i still found myself after moving from that listening to scar from time to time cuz i genuinely and still do fuck wit scar as a person. but like when u listen to “FANTASY VXID” , it was something very fresh and new with songs like “FXURTUNE” and “SAVE YXUR GRACE” but still not gaining much attraction after.
Scar could definitely go mainstream if he wanted to, but that isn’t what he desires. It would take nothing to go back to using the aye flow from his early music and make regular trap stuff. He’s still experimenting and this is very obvious with the release of Lxl Whaaat? where he explores several rage beats. He’s more than capable of assimilating to what’s popular but he feels like he doesn’t need to.
The issue with Scarlxrd isn't that nobody cares about him. He's still topping half a million views. The issue is that it's hard to top that song and that's what his fans will expect from his new projects which will lead to disappointment. Many hot artists have this problem, Lil Pump and Smoke Purpp being one of the many.

His screams got much better and are very impressive in my opinion but he hardly has any substance anymore. Looking back at projects like DXXM and INFINITY it's a shame he got this point. I was really looking forward to DeadRising until it dropped, it's a hard as fuck album with great production but he repeats few words for a half of the song on almost every song and looking back at projects like before scar always had substance and pretty meaningful lyrics, and now it's completely opposite. And yeah I agree, it seems like he is afraid to step out his comfort zone ever since fantasy vxid, which was pretty experimental but fans didn't like it that much. Scar definitely has no middle ground when it comes to his audience, either you love him and are incredibly loyal, or you hate him and absolute despise his music, there's not really any in between. Usually, people who like rap/trap tend to not like heavy metal, and vice versa. But the rare amount of people that like both, he is everything they could hope for. I'm proud to be one of those people, I liked rap/trap and heavy metal but never really loved them, but I find Scar who mixes those two things together and I instantly fell in love with his music, and that tends to be what happens. If you listen to his stuff for the first time, you either love it and are completely into it, or you hate it and never click on his stuff again

Just compare Dead Rising to Lxrdszn or Dxxm, that's a massive evolution if u ask me. And his recent rap stuff has improved a lot as well, just compare the singles between Dxxm II and Dead Rising with Immxrtalisatixn. He's not 'going anywhere' because of his style/genre and what he makes, and to him he's already there, and he is. He is undoubtedly the biggest in Trap Metal with almost no competition other than Ghostemane.

It's a shame because on each album, there's 1-2 songs that are unique and sound great. If he took the time to gather these songs and put it into an album, he would stand out more. But for now, all his music sounds the same to me due to how often he releases new stuff.
To be fair tho he's got some songs where he doesn't scream or he doesn't scream then screams and when he's not doing that he still sounds good and another thing scar said was he basically makes music whenever he has something on his mind, wants to release or has an idea and he said whenever you meet him he's chill because he has noticing on his mind because he's already said it but he also just loves making music you can tell and he's made so many albums and songs in so little time and he's even said he doesn't understand how artists can make like 1 album and stop for awhile. Last thing he's also said after a tour that he makes music cuz he wants to he doesn't care about the views and whatever and that his label told him to do something so more people can listen to it and he basically said "no tf" and he just wants to do what he want to do and he doesn't care
In 2023 I am stills listening to him I am 33. Scarlxrd is different his music even the way he dresses is unique and different. when his not making the music he seems like such a humble person and funny as well to be around. Love it. I love to learn more about his background. He is so incredible, intelligent amazing talented young man.

Personally im from the uk and love his music, before my friend introduced me to him i was listening to a lot of drill and some american rap as well, he's an acquired taste and it doesnt matter what genre youre coming from when u start listening, everyone has the same chance of liking him or not liking him. He seems to have tapped into practically ever genre that involves any sort of energy in its sound (for example he recently started experimenting with phonk). When it comes to the uk rap scene, personally i came to his music from that, but the style of his music and especially his aesthetic are just unsuitable for the roadman culture that has kinda developed in the uk, so it makes sense that he doesnt have many fans in the uk, ig i am a rare case as it didnt take long from me to transition from drill to scarlxrd (thank u martin if ur reading this for introducing me to the unspoken legend that is scarlxrd).
im hella late but i used to be a huge scarlxrd fan from 2017-20 . i listened to some of dxxm 2 in 2021 but tbh his music isn’t even hitting the same , although the “trap metal” was a phase for me i still found myself after moving from that listening to scar from time to time cuz i genuinely and still do fuck wit scar as a person. but like when u listen to “FANTASY VXID” , it was something very fresh and new with songs like “FXURTUNE” and “SAVE YXUR GRACE” but still not gaining much attraction after.

His screams got much better and are very impressive in my opinion but he hardly has any substance anymore. Looking back at projects like DXXM and INFINITY it's a shame he got this point. I was really looking forward to DeadRising until it dropped, it's a hard as fuck album with great production but he repeats few words for a half of the song on almost every song and looking back at projects like before scar always had substance and pretty meaningful lyrics, and now it's completely opposite.
And yeah I agree, it seems like he is afraid to step out his comfort zone ever since fantasy vxid, which was pretty experimental but fans didn't like it that much. And ever since that he just makes music to please his fans with hard metal shit but it became repetitive and boring, it's time for him to switch it up or his numbers will continue to decline.

Scar definitely has no middle ground when it comes to his audience, either you love him and are incredibly loyal, or you hate him and absolute despise his music, there's not really any in between. Usually, people who like rap/trap tend to not like heavy metal, and vice versa. But the rare amount of people that like both, he is everything they could hope for. I'm proud to be one of those people, I liked rap/trap and heavy metal but never really loved them, but I find Scar who mixes those two things together and I instantly fell in love with his music, and that tends to be what happens. If you listen to his stuff for the first time, you either love it and are completely into it, or you hate it and never click on his stuff again

@@killdrko My guy, as someone who also listens to Scar, he has evolved. His flows have improved, his lyrics and wordplay has improved, every album has a completely different sound. Just compare Dead Rising to Lxrdszn or Dxxm, that's a massive evolution if u ask me. And his recent rap stuff has improved a lot as well, just compare the singles between Dxxm II and Dead Rising with Immxrtalisatixn. He's not 'going anywhere' because of his style/genre and what he makes, and to him he's already there, and he is. He is undoubtedly the biggest in Trap Metal with almost no competition other than Ghostemane.
Same thing is with ghostmane, bones, terror reid, killstation. They are all so talented but have limited amount of fans…
