Why I love the show so far:
    1. The relationship between Peter and Aunt May is perfectly established within only 4 minutes.
    2. The two of them are not afraid to say “Uncle Ben” to indicate that the guy played a significant part of their lives; unlike a certain iron man jr. We once knew.
    3. The show has Spidey actually in a friendly neighborhood kind of handle that we rarely have seen.
    4. The side characters are actually written out and loved. They are not just side pieces that are there for usage of dumb jokes like how side characters in the MCU Spider-Man film was.
    5. The supporting hero characters are awesome.
    6. Lonnie IS NOT THE JOCK STEREOTYPE!!!! That was such a breath of fresh air to see that a jock is so much more.
    7. Whatever is goin fin with Lonnie, I can’t help but feel sorry for him. He seems like a great kid and appear to be going through a tough thing. I don’t know if he is really putting on a positive face to not let his problems show or if he really such a kind kid. His character has really had me intrigued about him so far.
    8. This show is already doing things way better than the Mcu Spider-Man did. (I am not a fan of the race and gender swaps though.)

I'm loving the series so far! The only gripes I have are the spider being from another dimension instead of being radioactive/genetically altered from a lab and Peter carrying a tank, it shouldn't bother me, but I always keep asking to myself, "Since when did Peter ever need tanks and tubes to store web fluid? Isn't that what the web cartridges from his belt and web shooters are for?" I totally respect them wanted to be different, but wouldn't that just make him more vulnerable during battles? As it was shown in the comic version when he was fighting the Enforcers. But all and all, I enjoy this version, the animation feels like an improvement from the 2017 series, especially the swinging scenes with the great music to go with it. And the characters are surprisingly good, especially Norman Osborn. This show definitely felt like 60s, Spectacular, MTV and MCU all into one. So can't wait for more!

    I understand you, brother.
But sooner or later... this characterization of Peter Parker needs to grow and mature.
The whole quirky, stuttering, fumbling, dork, and nice guy teddybear sanitization of peter parker is getting repetitive.
They have to dive deeper into him... they should release him from this persona and finally bring him into a level where he's confident around ANYBODY. One who speaks plainly and doesn't pause in his words every damn time and also stands up for himself by biting back against those who try to get in his face. Have an edge, like his spidey side. He should embrace his snarky and witty nature, i swear.
Like fr... as Spider-Man, he has this "i don't take you seriously" and "i don't have time for this" attitude that i just dig. Peter should be like that also when outside the mask.
They also should not ignore his faults. Like his anger issues and selfish nature. The amount of narrative depth they can dive into when it comes to peter fighting against this stuff is vast.
I just pray... they let this peter grow into this type of mature narrative.

sorry lewis have to disagree with you on this one. peter here is not peter and I cant let that slide. its super disingenuous to the character tlee and ditko made. this peter would make a great miles morales, but its a horrible peter parker. the show is also unfair to spiderman s supporting cast and strips their personality for place ins just to be different. spider-man only when he is in costume is easy to write. spiderman as a superhroer will do the right thing but its the guy inside that makes the character special. peter helping that mugger is something he's done before many times in the comics and its something all spider people aside from Miguel would do. human beings are not quirky do gooders. I'm the same age as peter in this show I behave more like peter from the 1960s than this guy even though I was born in 2007 so like what is this. Spiderman shows are just generally very enetrtaing even if the story isn't good. after all spiderman is the most popular hero for a reason its hard to make it so that he's unwatchable. isay the show is 6.5/10. it doesn't understand spiderman and it should be a miles morales show cause that would make more sense but I'm glad its here

I don't really think it understands Spider-Man that well. Peter Parker's portrayal could be way better, and this version of Spider-Man isn't really all that similar to how Spider-Man actually was as a teen. This Spider-Man is closer to MCU Spider-Man or maybe a bit of OG ultimate Spider-Man, I guess. Which can be fine. But I would prefer at least some Spider-Man adaptations to actually get a more comic accurate portrayal of more OG Peter. Esp. since, we don't actually get this a lot (like MCU Spider-Man. Who I still like, but he isn't really accurate to OG comic) Peter. Peter is just really missing some of his traits, flaws, etc. Including some of his more interesting ones. Like his anger, selfishness, greed, willingness to stand up to people who piss him off, not constantly stumbling over his words and having to have other people finish what he is saying, more independent (and kind of a loner) and less dependent and not so reliant an others (tbf MCU and some other spider medias have issues, imo, showing these parts of Peter too), actually having to try to be good and a better version of himself, I don't think he is portrayed as smart as he could be, but that is more subjective (and again, some other Spider-Man mediums do have, imo, issues with dumbing down/downplaying this part of Peter. Not just this show, and this show doesn't do it the worst even, and in some ways, I do think they do this part well) etc.
This Spider-Man is just currently missing a lot of stuff that I think makes Spider-Man himself and makes him interesting and complex. I am still hoping they improve Peter's/his character in the future. And that the issues I have with how he is portrayed currently are fixed in the future. But currently, I wouldn't really say this show gets Spider-Man's/Peter's character itself very well.
And I am not really sure how fond I am of how this show is handling Uncle Ben so far. Currently, I think they are handling Uncle Ben worst than MCU. Though, the MCU didn't handle Uncle Ben well either. Maybe this will change in the future though.
Not really sure how fond of them changing the origins and having to always connect stuff to other MCU/greater MCU (or whatever this show's equal to that is, since this show tech. isn't connected to the MCU despite seeming very MCU in some regards). Like, the spider he gets from and how, Ben dying before he even gets powers (just Ben in general, I am not super fond with how he is being handled so far), me having no idea why this Spider-Man even fights (and if it is just because he got inspired by other superheroes like MCU Spider-Man. Ngl, I will find that kind of boring personally, and again, not very accurate to Spider-Man. And gets rid of a lot of the complexities and interesting stuff about his origins. Including him getting all angry and vengeful trying to find and kill Uncle Ben's killer afterwards. Like, really hoping this series has something like this. And/or shows Peter's anger and vengeful side more) so far, again having Peter not really act like Peter, esp. not his more jaded still immature and growing and developing to be a better a person and superhero, Peter meeting a symboite (probably spelling this wrong) before he even gets powers is kind of weird, etc. Just, I am not against some changes, but some of these changes I am not sure about, feel weird, and/or just straight up don't really like.
Among other issues I have with the show/series.
But again, maybe this show and it's characters will improve in time, and I will change my mind. Currently, not really liking this series all that much.

"Spider-Man is safest in Marvel Studios' hands."
"One of the best characterized versions of Spider-Man, ever put to screen."
Disney/Marvel has show to not really get Spider-Man/Peter Parker in a lot of ways, including in this show. So no, I don't really think Spider-Man is safest in Marvel Studios hands, probably would be safer in other people's hands honestly at this point.
As for the 2nd thing, with you saying about this being one of the best characterized Spider-Men.
Well, I have already gone over some why I don't really think that to be the case. Since this show has showed to not really understand Peter (and Uncle Ben) in a lot of ways. So.
I will just agree to disagree with you, on these two points you said here.
Maybe the show, and Spider-Man/Peter's character will improve in time though. I do actually hope they do.
